Thank you so much for this video! I was going blind for hours, trying to make sense of the bluehost policy, and after following your video step-by-step, I was set in just a few clicks!
I saved this video on a whim just in-case I had a client that already owned a domain- guess what, most of them do!! This came in clutch man, thank you so much, you saved the day!!
Thanks heaps for the video, I too was going around in circles but your video had me up and running in seconds, they certainly do make it hard to work out on your own, so really appreciated your info.
Thank you. Your explanation was to-the-point. Bluehost's setup for add-on domains is too messy for my tastes -- pointing DNS servers to an extra folder on the root domain with its own installation of Wordpress, thus appearing like a standalone domain to websurfers.
I have tow domains one I created and one related to bluhost , how can I make the one I created the primary one not addon please? I choosed multiple package from bluehost
i connected my google domain to bluehost hosting but i did test emails and emailing doesnt work, says mail cannot be delivered; user is not found...I then created an email address using the google domain address in bluehost panel.then what do i do?
my addon domain shows in the domain name and the files are all intact in the public html however it is not showing up in mysites while othere sites are showing.. i tried running the homepage and it was fine but the links are all not working - error 407 unauthorized forbidden access something
You can still host unlimited websites with subdomains or folders. You just can't use the addon domain features for separate websites under their own domains.
There isn't really a major reason to switch primary sites as your visitors will never know which is primary. Switching primary websites however may cause problems with website addresses. You'll have to contact bluehost to switch your primary website.
@@HowToWebmaster yea but that sub domain also got indexed withmy main domain, now basically they fight with each other....redirecting the sub dom to main will fix this?
Hi thanks for the usefully information. kindly I have some questions if you can advise me. first: I have my Bluehost hosting and I can make multiple sites, I want to make first site by Jannah themes for my Blogs, and I want to make another site for my consultancy and courses online. and I want to buy the domain just from Bluehost. how to do that and your advices thanks in advance Best Regards
In bluehost, go to "domains" on left sidebar, then purchase a domain. After purchasing, go to "My Sites" on left sidebar, then add a new site. It will ask you which domain to add the site on...it is similar to what you see in my video.
The process of adding an addon domain involves the creation of the corresponding subdomain. In terms of Apache VirtualHost entries, an addon is a parked domain on that subdomain. There is no way to add an addon without a subdomain being created, this is the fundamental principle of cPanel architecture. *Ripped from a namecheap article
Hi. I currently have a domain from godaddy and I want to transfer to blue host so I got a plan. I created a website there but I haven’t migrated everything yet I’m just designing first so when everything’s ready I can start migrating everything. The problem I’m having is I created the site not with the sub domain, so how do I transfer the files from the existing site I created to the sub domain?
I suggest you contact bluehost, they can help you migrate your site to bluehost. You can also try fiverr to hire a pro to assist with site migrations or transfer. Moving a site from a domain to sub-domain or vice versa can be tricky.
There is a horrible thing with this Bluehost it doesn't let me create a bew website that appears like a totally new website. always has to be something like the site name repeats.....domain and directory...BS why can't I have my my new site have just one url like all other website. This is been three days. I hate these people make me buy domain and it's sounding as if if the domain is not yet paid for. Their way of commuicating is all confused and no videos to tell us how to have many domains. seems like I didn't need to buy the plus. Its not just a straight forward to open a second and third account or website with complex questions to answer.
Sorry the video was not helpful. because I bought domain names from bluehost and trying to create a 3rd site addon and what happens is different from what you are showing. Your other domain is from somewhere too. the video should have been more about how to add multiple domains in bluehost. but you spend too much time on other related things while the main thing is just little talked about, Multiple is not one extra site from elsewhere.... you spend more emphasis cpanel, and place to buy domain name- all those differ from your title. jezzzzz.

You need to contact bluehost if you want to change your main bluehost hosting domain name.
@@HowToWebmaster I already did, thanks for your reply and your effort, totally appreciated, keep up helping people.🙂
I noticed you didn't choose the Bluehost+wordpress option. Does this still work if I choose that option?
I think both plans will work the same.
Thank you for this.
Thank you bro.. you saved my time...
Glad to hear that
well done!!
i connected my google domain to bluehost hosting but i did test emails and emailing doesnt work, says mail cannot be delivered; user is not found...I then created an email address using the google domain address in bluehost panel.then what do i do?
If you are using bluehost as your web hosting, you can setup email accounts and forwarders directly from bluehost cpanel, look for email options.
I’m on cPanel. Can I still use the multiple domain package ?
If your hosting plan allows for additional addon domains, then yes you can add more websites with their own domain names.
I guess this is not how it works anymore as the Assign ain't there anymore or am I missing something? Thank you in advance!
If you have upgraded plan, you can still add more websites in cpanel. If problem, reach out to support and they'll help addon your site.
Nice very easy to understand plz keep your voice little more clear

how to set my second site added in blue host as default primary site and current primary as old

i have another question
if i install Jannah themes in WordPress and i want to add plugin Learnpress also. it's compatible and working or not?
thanks
Sorry, I am not sure. I've never used Jannah or learnpress before.
very helpful
Thank you
How to get rid of the subdomain thats created durin assignin ?
From my understanding it is necessary for cpanel to create the subdomain when creating the addon domain. You should keep the subdomain.

Why does it require to create a subdomain

@@HowToWebmaster Thank u!
is this like a subdomain or an entirely new domain?
Entirely new domains with different websites on each domain.

With Unlimited Addon Domains / Websites, are you required to pay monthly hosting fees for each? Or do you pay one hosting fee for unlimited sites?
If you have the unlimited bluehost hosting plan, you do not have to pay for each website hosting.
I have a soa record problem. anyone can help?
