My science teacher "taught" this earlier today to us. Brought back a sheet of homework and didn't know any of it. Thank you for teaching me this way better than my actual teacher who doesn't actually teach.
To be quite honest with you, you teach 10x better than my professor of introductory chemistry at the college level... she is horrible you are great. keep doin what you're doing man. you're helping me on my next exam.
currently studying for the last exam and finals, you will not know how much I appreciate educators like you. thank you so much for doing this I'm sure everyone in the comment section agrees with me when I say you're undeniably helpful, thank you so much
"If you are ever really bored" lmao Made me laugh as soon as i started the video. I needed that laugh during finals week. Im stressing hard. This guy is awesome.
This guy has a passion for teaching and explains things well, he goes down to the student's level of understanding to explain the concept. Keep up the good work! Teacher of the year!!!
@bvlgary09 thanks for the kind comment! you ask a good question. YES, the pressure must be constant to use this formula. if you need to vary the volume, temperature AND pressure, you can use the combined gas law, with is (P1*V1)/T1 = (P2*V2)/T2
I love you, your so amazing. Seriously, thank you for sticking with You Tube so long, because you teach Chemistry the best. Your definitely one of my favorite chemistry pros.
I can't express the amount of happiness after finally understanding this because tomorrow I have a test and your videos really helped. You deserve billions of followers fr!
i gotta chem test tomorrow which im cramming for and ive been going through youtube just trying to find the right person to explain this easily and in depth......i love you
Wow so much help!! I have a big test tomorrow and needed a refresh on what to do. What I've done was pause the video when you put the question up and solve it then see if I did it correctly so far I have looked up Boyle's Law, Gay-Lussac's Law, and I'm now on this one. Thank you so much for what you do, it's a big help!
Thank you so much, the gratitude I have is..... SO MUCH. I went my whole year of chemistry winging it and watching your videos I actually understood it.
I do appreciate ur educational videos. Whenever I am struggling with my science subject, I immediately go into your utube channel and watch your lectures. You're really good and decent in the way you interpret your discussions. You're so smart and I love the way how you solve some science problems especially physics and chemistry. Our classes will end soon and I would like to let out my biggest and warmest thank you for teaching a lot of students like me who are striving in online/modular classes. Kudos to you. Keep on going and inspiring!
great question. PV=k and V=kT are the fancy scientific ways to explain boyles and charles laws. no one ever actually uses them when they're doing problems. the textbook puts them in there to sound smart and scientific, but really, when you're solving problems, you'll only need to know the versions of the laws that i discuss here.
At first I didnt understand anything about the charles law in my chemistry class but once I watched this video I was able to understand it 6 minuets into the video. keep up the work
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help! So happy I found your videos, actually makes me enjoy chemistry. Never though i'd understand this stuff until your videos! Keep it up!
I've spent all week reading about this topic for a keynote presentation in my class and I didn't get it I watched this video and now I understand it Thank You!
Thank you SO MUCH for these videos! My chemistry book is poorly written and I am taking my class online which makes it even more difficult. You are a life-saver!
Thank you so much Tyler, I never thought I would be eager to learn Chemistry but you my friend made me have a change of heart. Getting ready for EXAM:)🙏🏽
@ILYMAUSAM you're very welcome! but i didn't dumb it down--i explained the whole concept, so if it makes sense now, you're totally set. if it didn't make sense before, it's not because you're dumb and you had to have it dumbed down, it's probably because it wasn't explained clearly the first time.
@Be1smaht if the pressure isn't constant, the volume could be changing, even if the temperature isn't! so if we have a balloon, we could shrink it by raising the pressure around it--put it in a pressure chamber and squeeze those gas particles together. now charles' law says that if there's a change in volume, we can figure how much the temp changed. BUT, if the pressure isn't constant, it could change the volume and TRICK us into thinking the temp changed instead.
Oh my gosh...the way you explain is so simple and easy to understand. Thank you so much! Your videos saved me :)) Please continue with your great work :D
thank you for posting this video, its helped me so much. you explain these formulas much much better than my chemistry teacher. I'm defiantly passing my test tomorrow.
I made another video on this very topic. It's called "Rearranging Charles, Gay-Lussac's, and Avogadro's Laws." If you watch it, it should be *exactly* what you need.
Hey everyone, I'm here to help. If you have any questions or just want to learn more, click on the link in the description above. It'll take you to a page where you can ask me questions.
you taught so well and so good. u explained this more clearly than my school teacher, institute teacher and tution teacher so now i leaving my chemis tution now onwards...... but one thing is that i dnt get videos in sequence so plz do smthing... if u cn.......
@shaheen1990 808.15 has FIVE digits, but you need to round the answer to THREE digits, so you round to 808. to learn more about how to round, watch my videos on significant figures.

No doubt
My teacher does this too
LMAOO
To be quite honest with you, you teach 10x better than my professor of introductory chemistry at the college level... she is horrible you are great. keep doin what you're doing man. you're helping me on my next exam.
so glad to hear that. i hope you get an A!
Watching this awesome video 13 years later! Such detailed concepts explained in a great way
Yeah, this saved me from failing
I’m borderline failing what’s your advice on how to not procrastinate since you’re a teacher and all
currently studying for the last exam and finals, you will not know how much I appreciate educators like you. thank you so much for doing this I'm sure everyone in the comment section agrees with me when I say you're undeniably helpful, thank you so much
You explain things more simply in 6 minutes than my teacher does in 60 ;w;
@Ruby Angel Your teacher takes more time to waste time and earn a paycheck.
MANNN THESE VIDEOS ARE WHAT IS KEEPING MY MARK ABOVE A 60% RN. I LOVE THESE. saved meeee
+Danial E Same! I have an 85 in chem rn and its all thanks to this guy.
92% but im about to take my final :O
how are you guys so smart
"If you are ever really bored" lmao
Made me laugh as soon as i started the video.
I needed that laugh during finals week. Im stressing hard.
This guy is awesome.
Ya great explanation

oh great! tell me what else you need to learn, and i'll make videos on those topics as soon as i can!
My Chemistry teacher got fired last week for not teaching anything and my staar test is tomorrow. I've been using your videos. They help alot!!!!!!!!
I love you, your so amazing. Seriously, thank you for sticking with You Tube so long, because you teach Chemistry the best. Your definitely one of my favorite chemistry pros.
can u transfer some intellect to my chem teacher Thx
TheGreatKage hahahah
peek on chippy still
Mines barely even teach
Hahahah so relatable. My chemistry teacher, Sarah Angus, really need an education herself
I can't express the amount of happiness after finally understanding this because tomorrow I have a test and your videos really helped. You deserve billions of followers fr!
I'm in 8th grade honors science and this guy teaches waaay better than my teacher
I am in the same boat, my teacher doesn't teach but expects us to know this
Alanna Cronk I swear then every chemistry teacher is the same :P
@@alannacronk9419 Yes sammmmeeee! It's so annoying.
trop it’s weird how you’re probably in college rn but you wrote this in 8th grade
15 years later still the best teaching. helped me a lot 👏
Wtf all i needed is a 10 year old video that explains allot better and easier than most professors these days?
i gotta chem test tomorrow which im cramming for and ive been going through youtube just trying to find the right person to explain this easily and in depth......i love you
ang ganda, pinaka perfect na method at pagtuturo sa lahat ngmga circumstances bagay
Thanks for completing my life with your wonderful knowledge of chemistry. #number1fan
so when i put myself in the freezer am i going to be thinner lol
Yes obviously
"gas" laws. But yes. A few days in the freezer wud prolly make u thinner
water expands when frozen so i think you'd get larger.
@@eclipticarcher6008 So you need to be dehydrated.
you also have to be somewhat bloated for that to occur lol.

really useful throughout these tough times. somebody give this man a medal.
you are the greatest of all time Tyler lmao you are the only reason Im doing decent in chemistry
Thank you, my teacher doesn't know how to teach and you are the reason I passed this year, every test I see you videos
Really appreciate all the work you did on putting this free education on RUclips (over 10 years ago). Very much appreciated still.
Thank you so much for all your RUclips Chemistry videos, believe me, they have saved me a lot of trouble.
Thank you so much, the gratitude I have is..... SO MUCH. I went my whole year of chemistry winging it and watching your videos I actually understood it.

Excellent 👌
why can't my teachers explain stuff like this I would learn so much easier!!
@josh wilkinson I guess the concept of school is becoming obsolete since you can learn from the best on the internet.
Ikr
if i can get this info online then why am i still forced by law to attend 7 classes for 55 minutes?
Ramen Noodles it will if there are only tests in school

You are a life saver I didn’t understand Charles law at all and you made it more simple 😂 feeling dumb cause it’s really that simple.
i don't know what you mean. how to get the T2? you mean how to solve for the T2? you'd rearrange the equation to get T2 = (V2 x T1)/V1
watching this in 2019 as a sophomore in college
Watching this as a sophomore in high school 😃
Update just got my test back... 95!!! Thank you so much
I understood the concept as soon as you mentioned the “kids in a room” metaphor, thank you!
Thank you, i feel much better after seeing your demonstration. Preparing for finals!
And by the way I like the way teach, explain, and specify every steps, notes, and important details Keep up the good work! 😊👍👍👏👏
