This was my sexual awakening as a kid. And I’m 21...whenever my parents put V on I had to remind myself that she was a lizard. But a part of me didn’t care...I was in love with the character of Diana, not just the actress but the character she played.
Diana was a near perfect villain. Strong, confident, no mercy, good looking. But the best part is that she was not OVERPOWERED and her enemies were a worthy challenge, no cardboard cutouts.
Another thing I personally liked about her is that she was a villain you could actually feel sorry for during some brief moments where she'd be in conflict with another one of her people.
The eyes, the hairdo, and that lipstick! "V" could be a little corny at times, but Jane Badler was always good value as the evil lizard lady from outer space.
The original mini series holds up great to this day. The Final Battle too is good. But that last run was really bad, so cheesy, so cheap and so far from the spirit of the Kenneth Johnson original.

No wonder Kenneth Johnson washed his hands of it and left when they started making The Final Battle. The original 2 episodes that he had written and directed had so much potential as a proper series, such a shame 😞

Not wrong at all, DALLAS had been a major topic on TV from the late Seventieth to the Eightieth and has influenced Soap Opera series world wide. Alone in the States there were two more with DENVER CLAN and FALCON CREST. Logical that an extremly succesfull concept would overshadow the film industry for decades. But since most of the RUclipsrs are much younger as me, at least here in Europe, it is no wonder that it comes to many as a surprise.
