We're from Ireland and did the exact same crossing a week ago. Really easy and we had someone waiting on Ukrainian side the drive us to the City. Lviv is stunning and probably the most fun city we have ever been to. We are having an amazing time.
I'm trying to get in to do a photojournalism assignment for a grassroots magazine. Is there much hassle from border security? I'll have a flak jacket and all, but I won't have official press permission from Ukraine (Hard to get now)
@Tictac-vn1vn Brexit and the issues it created around the border are indicative of where they're headed, not to mention the Sinn Feinn majority in Stormont 🫢 just a waiting game now
Slava Ukraine!! We love Ukraine and its people. I will be teaching in Lviv. My wife and I are arriving soon. Your videos are a great help! Thank you. Dean
I did that exact crossing in April. The bus from Rzeszow to Medyka. And then taxi to the border crossing. The border crossing was easy. Lviv was amazing. Took the czheck train back to Rzsesow from Lviv.
Interesting video! I have to say, though, it's definitely worse to be stuck standing in line at a pedestrian border crossing than to be stuck in a bus at a border. I crossed that Medyka-Shegyni border on foot in the winter from Ukraine to Poland and regretted the day I was born 😅 I was looking at the buses stuck at the border with envy as I stood in the cold FOR 12+ HOURS 😅So when I recently was stuck at another Ukrainian-Polish border for 7+ hours in a bus, I was just grateful to be sitting down somewhere warm where I could eat, sleep, and charge my phone
Even if airports were opened, I would still want to go to Lviv, via Przemsyl. Would like to visit one day. Last year it was refugees going thru that station and it's good to see Ukrainians coming and going, in both directions. Looking forward to more videos, keep it up brother!
Hi Orest ... m here after watching Vishnu's channel. Thank u for showing us beautiful Ukraine through Vishnu's lens ... but now m watching all your videos on your channel. God bless you and praying for this war to end. You're gonna get lot many subscribers from India now who wants to rely on your info rather than paid news channels who shows us totally different stuffs .
I just discovered your channel, you do some excellent work, please continue, I am Canadian and I have been inspired to visit Ukraine in a few months and just trying to figure out the best route.
Hello brother.. I just know you through @wondering maniac RUclips channel... I just want to say that you are amazing the way you treat him it's great. And as a human being you are so humble and Kind .... Lot's of Love and strength from India. ❤️❤️ 🇮🇳
As much as I do that, I’d prefer the certainty of onward transport to wherever you be staying. Not knowing if their was a taxi/bus, what time they left and what time they get where you wanted to go isn’t something I’d be happy with. I’d prefer to stick with the train from the border or fly to Moldova and get the bus to Odessa.
Thank you my friend. I will be heading to Kharkiv in a few months for “vacation” :). I have close friends and family there. I’m super exited to get there and help out my family and friends. 🎉🎉🎉🎉. 🫡 This was very helpful my friend. Thank you again. SLAVA UKRAINI 🫡
Hi Orest - this is a super helpful video. I'm planning to go make this journey next month, and this video is the most informative I've found about the pedestrian border crossing. One question - in your video you showed that there was a queue for EU passports going from PL to UA. Is there the same EU queue going from UA to PL? Thank you and stay safe!
How do trains go from Ukraine to Poland when they use different gages? Are the trains tracks near the borders European standard? Where (how far away) do they change?
One wide guage track (1520mm) crosses into Poland and terminates at Przemyśl station, allowing the UA trains to cross the border. In Rava Ruska the opposite is true, standard guage (1435mm) crosses the border into Ukraine with Polish trains terminating in UA.
🇬🇧❤🇺🇦 My intentions are to come to the Ukraine from the uk England I will go to Poland in fact to Warsaw Catch the overnight train to Kyiv ❤ Will be my first time and obviously will be nervous But I'm looking forward to experience in the same as you All information is always good tonight Before making the attempt to travel Like to see people share there Experiences on RUclips Thanks a lot I will probably have to get a interpreter why I'm in the Ukraine Life is easy and life is a dream it's all dance what you do
I tried to find the tickets from przemyśl to Lviv from the railway link in your description. I couldn't find it. Are thoose tickets not available anymore or is it just me that lack the smartnes to find them? :)
Hey Orest, quick question. It's not my first time traveling to UA. I noticed that taking the train takes longer because since the invasion PL reopened the border control inside Przemyśl station, which takes a while to cross (essentially crossing the border on foot). In your experience how do the wait times compare (on average) between what you did in the video and taking the train?
Check Ukraine's requirements regarding an International Drivers Permit with the additional requirement due to Ukranian law and the year the agreement was signed.
Thanks,@@zlauriault, I will do that. International Drivers Permits are very easy to acquire here, so hopefully that shouldn't be too much of a problem. 👍
@@zuborest In my experience of driving/riding into the Balkans, Turkey and quite a few other European countries, it's never that easy, but I'll take your optimism! 🙃👍
Sorry for disturbing Just in case do you remeber how much did it cost to you crossing the border from poland to ukraine? And other steps of this travel?
I'm from the US.. I wondering what an actual refusal letter to come back to the US looks like? Have a friend stating they're stuck due to a refusal letter to come back home.
I need to go in Bila Tserkva to visit the grave of my husband murdered in Bakhmut in 2019, I want to visit his parents and my sister in law too. I have a colombian passport (we don't need visa, finally), and I want to know if I am going to pass the border control without problem. Somebody can give me some information about that please?

How you booked them?

Very good. Someone should have made this guide a long time ago. Also a video which shows how to cross the border on train could be helpful.

Ukrainian trains can reach Przemyśl station, 14 km west of the border.

Hi, is there taxi at the ukraine side of the border? Or i need to call uber?
Very interesting. Do you know how easy or difficult it is for someone to drive into Ukraine in a EU or British registered car, out of interest?
It’s very easy. You just drive in 😉
