I think its a slav thing to have dill & cream gravies and tomato 🍅 juice . My Czech 🇨🇿 grandmother 👵 would make food very similar to what you had for lunch . Miss her 🇨🇿👵 and Czech food , yummy 😋

Puzata Hata is on my must try list. It is amazing to see all the different locations and how they look inside even on Google! Piccadilly's can't touch what y'all have done LOL! As for what to try: Chicken Kyiv, cherry vareniki and golubusti are my top choices aside from the fluffy breads and that one chocolate cake with nuts inside I kept seeing online.

I knew you would blow me away with the price of all of that. I would go with chicken, vereniki, borsht and bread, skip the salad. It's Italian tradition in the U.S. to have the salad last as a palate cleanser.

Great content. However Mr Gareth Jones was a Welsh journalist not American. Amazing movie :)

When in Ukraine, I eat at Puzata Hata, mostly at least once per day. I always have some lovely Borsh and some Varenikys with cherrys. Nothing beats that. I actually like the taste of Borsh better at Puzata Hata then in the more fanzy restaurants.

9:15 Dear Orest, Mr Jones was a film about a British journalist called Gareth Jones, he wasn't American. Gareth Jones was British and to be precise, he was Welsh. It was a great film that depicts some of what went on during the Holodomor. It's based on real life events.

What I have seen from Johnny FD, a rule of thumb is that restaurant food costs half or even less than in western countries. Salaries are low. However some food ingredients are not so cheap.
