      @Virsu Thanks. I'm looking forward to the qualifier cos we'd form our best possible team excluding those who participated in P12, as per media. The lineup in P12 wasn't our best.

    Well done on the video! I'm brazilian, born and still living here, and I hope that our team goes strong into this year

      Thank you! It appears that Brazil is getting ALL their minor leaguers which is huge for them. If that's the case, they may be able to deal with no Bo by simply outpitching Germany and China.

      what’s the baseball culture like there is it popular? i imagine it’s not due to soccer and combat sports dominating there, but i feel like y’all could become a great baseball country.

    • @akriousTV
      @akriousTV 4 дня назад +2

      @ Yeah it's not that popular lol
      I think it has some community in São Paulo or in the south, not sure, but most people here never heard or seen baseball ever lol

    Another important piece for Taiwan's starting rotation would be Jo-Hsi Hsu, who has one of the best stuff in CPBL.

      Thank you! The CPBL is not one of the leagues I'm not super familiar with, so doing some research for this vid was really fun! Hopefully Jo-Hsi Hsu will get the call to play on the team.

      @@FrilledSharkBaseball In case you wanna check it out, pls copy the letter 徐若熙 (Hsu Jo-Hsi in Chinese). he has one of the best stuff, but the problem is that he's injury-prone.

      @@FrilledSharkBaseball There are some viewpoints from a CPBL fan: First,Wen Hua Sung(宋文華)had very terrible seasons recently with just 85mph of speed, so he might not be included in the team.Second,Corbin Carroll and Stuart Fairchild almost won't join in this time(but 2026WBC🥹).Also, Li Lin(林立) and Kungkuan Giljegiljaw(吉力吉撈鞏冠) have helped Taiwan win the championship in 2024P12, so they won't join, too(but Chieh Hsien Chen will ❤).Last, some CPBL players like Chun Yueh Tseng(曾峻岳) and Jo Hsi Hsu(徐若熙) are worth to keep an eye on.

    Mlb NEEDS to allow a break for players to do this and the Olympics. If they want to grow this is how you grow internationally, our biggest stars being seen by the world

      On my most recent podcast episode with Shawn Spradling, we actually discuss the very strong possibility that MLB lets players go play at the LA Olympics!

    To answer for why Taiwan's roster would be basically a complete shift from Premier 12 outside of the team captain, it's basically to keep players healthy. Playing baseball is straining, especially international baseball (even as the home team). After just finishing Premier 12 a couple of months ago, immediately inviting all of them back for the qualifiers would not be a great move, since they'd basically get no off seasons and have to get through the whole 2025 season weary, which can cause slumps or worse, injuries from wear and tear.

    Have you ever considered the pure cpbl top tools like Chun-Yueh Tseng or Jo-Hsi Hsu? Cuz your roster seems to ignore two of the best arms in the whole country and pick Wen-Hua Sung😂who even had been released by a team that has the worst bullpen in the league last season. And Lyle bat in sixth is hilarious, no way he is not at the bottom of the lineup. And the last thing is kinda my personal bias, many Taiwanese fan still think Wu is our best third basemen too, but if we look into the stat from both npb and cpbl, he's not as powerful as most ppl think, So imo Chi-Hung Liu would be a more solid pick, with top tier defense and great power that enable him to be a sliver slugger prospect, it'll be interesting to watch him play in international tournaments.

    • @FrilledSharkBaseball
      @FrilledSharkBaseball  3 дня назад +2

      I asked CPBL Stats for feedback on my roster, but I am not Taiwanese nor an expert on the CPBL, so I was bound to miss some guys. I'm excited to see Chun-Yueh Tseng or Jo-Hsi Hsu when they probably make the team. In terms of Lyle Lin's placement, he found some success with the bat at AA this past year... which as far as I'm aware, is against tougher pitching than most of the CPBL, no offense.
