1. End SpongeBob proper This is the biggest one. Nick has been shoving the sponge down everyone's throats. I don't want to see it become like The Simpsons. Give it a final season, hype the hell out of it and make room for someone new. 2. Pilots Nick has a tendency to take in hundreds of pilots and will either take the crappiest idea (Fanboy & Chum Chum) or push them aside for another company to grab (Adventure Time). 3. Don't Treat the Show as Dead on Arrival You spent all this time and money to get them this far. Don't waste it. Not only does it make you look bad but it's disrespectful for the people who worked on the show. 5. Dump the Executives/Producers or Git Gud These guys probably don't care much for what they bring into Nick. Unless someone who does want to see the channel improve comes, things will get worse. This may not happen. In that case, actually give a shit.

If the merch was based on episodes, it'd make sense but they're just using Spongebob's face. He's iconic enough to sell merch long after ending. (Just because new episodes aren't being made doesn't mean they can't rerun the show. They've only been spitting out a handful of new episodes a year anyway.)

I don't see anything 2000's like Jimmy Neutron, Avatar, Drake and Josh, Danny Phantom, ect. being played on the networks anymore. I see Zoey 101, SpongeBob, and Fairly Oddparents but that's literally it. They barely even play cartoons much on Nicktoons anymore.

To be fair, Nicktoons Network also carved out a niche by being a more high-brow affair than Nick. They would air obscure, more artsy cartoons that neither Nick or Cartoon Network would air, they would do more international cartoons like Watch My Chops, they would air pilot shorts like Boy From Woy and Doodlez in between shows and they even had a cartoon film festival every year where they'd air all kinds of random short-films(Including one of the precursor shorts for Regular Show), they'd let people vote and then the winners would be added into the rotation of bumper shorts. It was an all inclusive channel that yes, aired reruns of Nick's older cartoons, but also gave the more artsy and obscure cartoons and shorts room to breathe... And then they threw that all out and became a graveyard for all their Not-Spongebob abortions and, confusingly enough, Nick GAS2.0.
I actually did grow up on Nick, it was my favorite network as a kid. When it started going downhill, I was so upset. I could see it, my love for the show Danny Phantom, it's what had me open my eyes to the way they treat their content that at the time wasn't Spongebob, this was before FOP jumped the shark for the first time. I'm actually kind of sad that Crash Nebula didn't get its own show because that special was pretty good, even advertised for DP in it too. I would have liked to see Crash Nebula get its own show as well as run along side Danny Phantom when that was airing & just axe FOP, today I would of liked it. 2004? I would of been destroyed inside for FOP being ended. Heck, there was a time when I thought Timmy the Barbarian marked the end of the series & I wasn't alright with it. If I knew then what I know now, I would of been so happy if they ended on Channel Chasers. I'm not going into detail on Nick's treatment with DP BUT it did get a little better love since Butch has history with Nick. It still doesn't make up for how they kept season three from us for a year, it not running too well as well as being short, & them ripping it off as if it were a band aid! Seriously? An entire season in two weeks? Morons. Should of just gave it to us so much earlier, everywhere else in the world got it before the US. Just not fair. That had me looking at the dark side of Nick & it hurt, it really did. I was mainly watching Nicktoons Network by around 2007-ish since Nickelodeon was just so bad. Maybe it was 2008 when I got into Nicktoons Network? Dunno, just remember discovering it one time when they were playing Angry Beavers & I was so happy to see it on the schedule since I loved that show as a kid. It brought us more than Nickelodeon's discarded shows, I did enjoy Three Delivery but it was more of a thing I'd casually watch if I was bored. I actually very much liked Corneil & Bernie, it's originally a French cartoon & Nicktoons aired the dubbed version. The animation is weird & the comedy isn't everyone's cup of tea but that is something that I ended up discovering through Nicktoons that I enjoyed. Another thing Nicktoons played would be their shorts during commercial breaks. They'd have stuff from Kablam! such as Life With Loopy or the Outsiders. They also had stuff I had never seen before like Leader Dog & Doodlez, that one being my personal favorite. Doodlez clearly came from Canada of which doesn't have the best track record of cartoons but I must say it's pretty good. How Nick can fix itself? The way I see it, the station is like a best friend you lost due to a drug addiction. I needs help, lay off the Spongebob & FOP. Find something healthy to quench the addiction but don't overuse it. I don't know, just try cleaning up! It's sad to see the state it's in & I hope it doesn't stay like that for long. Appeal to adults, that's actually the right road to take. As someone who works with kids, I find that adult influence does affect their decisions a lot. Heck, I told them one of my Toontown horror stories & before I knew it, this one kid was asking me all these questions about the game then got disappointed when I told him it's shut down. Then I let the name drop of Toontown Rewritten & he ended up getting an account & playing. They're easy to guide sometimes. They see a youtuber they like be all interested in something, they're gonna want to watch it too. Plain & simple. If you make stuff that adults will like, you'll gain a pretty good kid audience. Spongebob & FOP are still relevant because we're still talking about it. Whether it's good or bad, if the adults are making videos about it, they'll watch. Actually nicktoons is a channel that only airs cartoons 2000-2016. And the splat is a channel that only airs 90s tv shows, that's including live action, game shows and cartoons.

Now that I think about it I feel more nostalgic watching the old Nicktoons back when they had that white splat logo and the other logo that looked like a planet with the nickelodeon slime on it I remember watching Mr. meaty, Kappa Mikey. I mean I wish I could say anything's improved in the two and a half plus years since this video but wow not much. Loud house has survived,SpongeBob is still on the air and now of course with the creator's death Nickelodeon is going against his wishes and making a new show that's totally CG. A prequel, exactly what he said he never wanted for SpongeBob to have as in no spin offs. So that on top of the usual nothing happening on the channel and basically no new shows in 2 years and it's now clear Nickelodeon is just playing evil to the core at this point. I don't think having more "adult oriented" shows will happen at Nick any time soon. You see, I live in the heart of Burbank, California where all the big cartoon studios are. I went to a panel where some of the people working on The Loud House were explaining their work environment and their internship program. They described the major studios as such: Disney is like home, CN is like a party, and Nick is like "the playground". They explained that they wanted to cater to a very young audience and the way they described it seems like there will be little wiggle room for content that is not "super kid friendly"

Also, I'm sure someone said this already, but recently Fairly Odd Parents has been moved to Nick Toons, which pretty much says to me that it's finally ending. And also I'll toss in a small list of what I'd do. 1: End SpongeBob now or with the "3rd Movie", because even with the original creator back, the show isn't getting that much better. 2: Better content to creator control, because I don't want another Legend of Korra and Harvey Beaks incident... 3: Don't make "The Splat" and instead fix Nick Toons scheduling to show only the classics. 4: Cancel a majority of the live action shows and focus on making new shows less shit. 5: Have Nick make something in the same vein as Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. 6: Promote the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle show better... I know how to Fix Nickelodeon, give SpongeBob and Loud House a break. Air their other Nicktoon Movies besides the SpongeBob Movies. The Rugrats Movie was as successful as The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, or how about air the TV Movies. Same for Cartoon Network, all CN airs is Scooby Doo mainly. Give the other movies a chance like Underfist and Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show! For both Channels, air their older cartoons on the main channel instead of Boomerang, Nicktoons and Teennick respectively during the day instead of Dead Morning and Night. That's my thoughts

I think Nick themselves jumped the shark. Killing off shows with some semblance of potential and embracing the Sponegbob/Life Action blocks has driven away most audiences. Cartoon Network will be in a similar spot with the finales of their more prominent animations. We just have to wait and see.

Actually nicktoons is a channel that only airs cartoons 2000-2016. And the splat is a channel that only airs 90s tv shows, that's including live action, game shows and cartoons.
FairlyOddParents is one of the only times I thought a show I loved NEEDED to be cancelled, it's cancer now!
I imagine Nick is to animation what Konami is to gaming. Once a god among men, and then perverting their remaining IP's, and later being a forgotten name.

Now that I think about it I feel more nostalgic watching the old Nicktoons back when they had that white splat logo and the other logo that looked like a planet with the nickelodeon slime on it I remember watching Mr. meaty, Kappa Mikey. Corneil and Bernie, Rocko's modern life, El Tigre, the Xs, Cat Scratch the list goes on. and while I do remember and have some nostalgia for other old Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network cartoons and shows like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats Catdog, Angry Beavers and Rocket Power, Ed Ed n eddy, Drake and Josh, Courage the Cowardly dog Invader Zim, Brandy and Mr Whiskers, Proud Family, Timon and Pumba ect. I really have nostalgia for Nicktoons and Boomerang

Loud house has survived,SpongeBob is still on the air and now of course with the creator's death Nickelodeon is going against his wishes and making a new show that's totally CG.
A prequel, exactly what he said he never wanted for SpongeBob to have as in no spin offs. So that on top of the usual nothing happening on the channel and basically no new shows in 2 years and it's now clear Nickelodeon is just playing evil to the core at this point. (Or at least the people running it)

I don't think having more "adult oriented" shows will happen at Nick any time soon. You see, I live in the heart of Burbank, California where all the big cartoon studios are. I went to a panel where some of the people working on The Loud House were explaining their work environment and their internship program. They described the major studios as such: Disney is like home, CN is like a party, and Nick is like "the playground". They explained that they wanted to cater to a very young audience and the way they described it seems like there will be little wiggle room for content that is not "super kid friendly"
The "clamstagram" was pure cringe when someone showed it to me.
Tbh the Patrick one was actually funny. They used the Mayonnaise and Giraffe Joke in that Video. I wasn't really as Cringy as SpongeBob's version.

1. Compare its run time to Teen Titan Go's, TTG has 178 EPISODES AIRED PER WEEK!?!?!
2. Financial Risk, yes, it has happened before like hoe CN did to the old PPG, and Disney to Phineas and Ferb, but it's already a moneymaker
3. It has Improved, Seasons 9B and 10 are, pretty decent. Since Spethen has returned
4. Other ways to solve the run time problem like give it less run time! That's it!

How to fix Nick
1. change the logo-i hate the new logo
2. bring back upick live-probably the most underrated live action show ever
3. make Nick Pilots-the concept of this channel is a channel that only airs new (and old) pilots and a voting system would be involved and the pilot with the best vote gets a show.
4. have an adult swim (i would called Nick 18) - the concept of this channel would be it airs 90s and early 2000s shows, exclusive adult cartoons and adult versions of popular nick shows.
it's sad what happened to spongebob because after Stephen Hillenburg died they literally almost did everything with the show he told them not to do, and I think I read somewhere, could have been a small documentary, that years ago he told executives that he wanted spongebob to be cancelled after he died tbh so no one would ruin it

Also, I'm sure someone said this already, but recently Fairly Odd Parents has been moved to Nick Toons, which pretty much says to me that it's finally ending.
And also I'll toss in a small list of what I'd do.
1: End SpongeBob now or with the "3rd Movie", because even with the original creator back, the show isn't getting that much better.
2: Better content to creator control, because I don't want another Legend of Korra and Harvey Beaks incident...
3: Don't make "The Splat" and instead fix Nick Toons scheduling to show only the classics.
4: Cancel a majority of the live action shows and focus on making new shows less shit.
5: Have Nick make something in the same vein as Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
6: Promote the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle show better... I thought the show was canceled for a year until I saw a new episode last week.
7: Don't grab some shitty Internet Celebrity and make a show about them... I don't want another Fred the Series or Marvin Marvin...

I know how to Fix Nickelodeon, give SpongeBob and Loud House a break. Air their other Nicktoon Movies besides the SpongeBob Movies. The Rugrats Movie was as successful as The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, or how about air the TV Movies.
Same for Cartoon Network, all CN airs is Scooby Doo mainly. Give the other movies a chance like Underfist and Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show!
For both Channels, air their older cartoons on the main channel instead of Boomerang, Nicktoons and Teennick respectively during the day instead of Dead Morning and Night.

Oh fuck Action League. I was trying to remember the name of that show a month or so ago. I remember watching it real late at night, like 4AM late, and I loved the shit out of it.
I think Nick themselves jumped the shark. Killing off shows with some semblance of potential and embracing the Sponegbob/Life Action blocks has driven away most audiences. Cartoon Network will be in a similar spot with the finales of their more prominent animations. We just have to wait and see.
