Make Adult Swim its own channel. CN was founded 20 years ago on the idea of "all cartoons, all the time". Now its "TTG all day then Family Guy reruns all night". Adult Swim is essentially how MTV used to be in the 90s with how experimental they are, so it fits.
I completely agree with this list, but would like to add one more thing. Show actual old/retro cartoons on Boomerang!!! They used to, from like 2012-2014, but now it is the exact same stuff you find on the main network with maybe one or two episodes of an older Scooby Doo thrown in somewhere. The reason they stopped airing the old/retro cartoons on Boomerang is because it got boring after a while. Who would want to watch the same shows over and over ad nauseum, no matter how much nostalgia one has for the shows aired? With no new episodes in the works, there's no reason to keep replaying the same cartoons. It would be a totally dead channel, unless they put a lot of work into getting the new generation into watching it, which would mean lots of ads for Boomerang on Cartoon Network's main channel, which would mean less space for actual advertisers who pay them money. You see why they don't air the same older cartoons on Boomerang yet?

As a kid I loved those because it created this cool make-believe city vibe with all the CN characters interacting within it and with each other. Bring those back. I totally agree with the scheduling Way too much Teen Titans Go it's not even giving the other shows a chance. Adventure Time and Regular Show are about a frequent as a full moon and the other shows get maybe 20% of the daily schedule combined.

And nowadays, dubs are better than what they use to be. I'd even argue that Terror in Resonance has a better dub than the sub, simply because the dub removed those engrish scenes.

To me Toonami is the only saving grace is CN right now. And even in this video you manage to find something awful about it. I pretty much only watch CN for Toonami, aside from Steven Universe. Also, Toonami DOES try to get new content as much as they can including never-before-heard dubs before they're released on home markets, and broadcast dubs,.... but "whenever they can" translates into "barely anytime at all". That's not their fault. The shows they aim for are usually not a fit for Toonami, are bid to another network/service like Netflix exclusively (Seven Deadly Sins/Sailor Moon Crystral), or they're not made available by lawyers (the reason we only NOW got the Jojo dub after it's been out for 2 years). And really? Most people don't like dubs? With dubs, you have a new English cast that Americans can more easily see at conventions and interact with online, rather than seiyus in Japan speaking what amounts to animal noises in a language most of us can't speak. So... this is a GREAT video, and severely entertaining just like your other videos. But Toonami is the only point here that I must disagree with you on.

My guess as to why Toonami shows anime late at night, would be to show more adult anime like Black Lagoon and Hellsing Ultimate. They use to show those series. But you're right, with the internet, Toonami is pointless. We no longer have to wait months to see how an anime ends. Unless Toonami were to come on at an earlier time, every week, I see no point in watching it.
I agree with you regarding the bumpers. It gave more life to the channel and introduced you to the characters in a more "personal" way, like the Cartoon City ones. Boring and mundane events like washing your clothes or buying groceries, made fun by the characters themselves and the interactions they had with others.
Most of those CN comedies are "comedies". Nick's schedule is same situation except it's SpongeBob dominating the schedule. Toonami could use a better timeslot and more simuldubs like they did with Space Dandy. The only reboot/continuation that is going to be worth a damn is Samurai Jack unless they overhaul the way they are doing these shitty reboots. Infinity Train is a good direction if it happens but it's only a small step if anything.
1. Change the art style, every show on CN has these thin outlines and simplistic character designs. The Amazing World of Gumball at least tries to do something unique. 2. Great video with solid points. The main thing for me is the scheduling. It's ridiculous to only air 5 shows a day (if you even get that sometimes) when you have so much original content and adoptive programming. If you go on CN's wiki page and look at the current programming you'll see that they could fit the 14 hours a day they have before Adult Swim comes on. The reboots aren't helping either. I honestly wish I still had that email an old friend of mine received 3 or 4 years ago saying Cartoon Network basically isn't interested in continuations and only reboots. This was at the time the Galactic Kids Next Door was teased.

I agree with your list. I personally wish for the times when cartoon network was more experimental. Yeah this didn't lead to good things all the time, but they would eventually end in sometimething good. The reason why some of my 2 favourite shows on CN, Ed Edd'n Edy and Adventure Time were on CN it's because CN took a risk with them, unlike Nick, and they were successful, and it's not like CN doesn't try to experiment (for example Over The Garden Wall) but it's not enough.

In Southeast Asia, the scheduling of Cartoon Network is pretty great, evenly spread out since some older shows got re-runs (i.e. Regular Show, Adventure Time, Chowder), and Teen Titans Go is only at the morning or dawn and they usually about an hour long. Maybe because of the dubbing but some shows are more presence than TTG, heck Adventure Time had more hours than TTG here
I say that they should really look in to making some of the shorts they have on their RUclips channel actual shows. I’m not saying all the shorts are master pieces but some of theme actually have really interesting premises and have already gotten a following but yeah idk. I really love how they’re airing the original Teen Titans again though. It makes my days better.

your ideas for change were great, but they were the only the first steps. I think they need a straight up block of adventure time in the afternoon that show is amazing and its missing out on its last season on the greatest channel, and make cartoon network a place for story ark and content.

I completely agree. Glad to see someone else say it. I told a friend that you could take nearly all the characters from current CN shows (excluding some of Amazing World of Gumball characters) and put them over the same background, and it would hardly seem like anything is out of place. This factors into the need for variety- in genre, in art style, in character archetypes, in pacing, in storytelling etc. Does the network think what they're doing is the only way to make money?
Despite this being two years old, I am most interested and agree 100% towards the number one solution. Variety is something important and can help prevent the network from running the same genre with different colors and characters. Yeah, we could use something like a music show, adventure show, a superhero show, a mystery, etc. However, I don’t believe CN is interested in making those shows because comedies make the money, especially with something like Teen Titans Go making billions of dollars of revenue. So yeah, they’re gonna keep running Teen Titans Go as long as they’re still in business. I do still wish there was more variety though.

TTG is only popular due to over-saturation. before it came out Adventure Time and Regular Show were the kings, averaging well over 2 million hits per episode. TTG got there at its best but usually averages 1.75 million hits, with the newest season not even reaching 1.5 million.

Crono Dragon Ball Kai had a great dub, the actors even recommend it over Z due to their improvement in their delivery of lines compared to Z

To me Toonami is the only saving grace is CN right now. And even in this video you manage to find something awful about it. I pretty much only watch CN for Toonami, aside from Steven Universe. Also, Toonami DOES try to get new content as much as they can including never-before-heard dubs before they're released on home markets, and broadcast dubs,.... but "whenever they can" translates into "barely anytime at all". That's not their fault. The shows they aim for are usually not a fit for Toonami, are bid to another network/service like Netflix exclusively (Seven Deadly Sins/Sailor Moon Crystral), or they're not made available by lawyers (the reason we only NOW got the Jojo dub after it's been out for 2 years). And really? Most people don't like dubs? With dubs, you have a new English cast that Americans can more easily see at conventions and interact with online, rather than seiyus in Japan speaking what amounts to animal noises in a language most of us can't speak. So... this is a GREAT video, and severely entertaining just like your other videos. But Toonami is the only point here that I must disagree with you on.

My guess as to why Toonami shows anime late at night, would be to show more adult anime like Black Lagoon and Hellsing Ultimate. They use to show those series. But you're right, with the internet, Toonami is pointless. We no longer have to wait months to see how an anime ends. Unless Toonami were to come on at an earlier time, every week, I see no point in watching it.

I agree with you regarding the bumpers. It gave more life to the channel and introduced you to the characters in a more "personal" way, like the Cartoon City ones. Boring and mundane events like washing your clothes or buying groceries, made fun by the characters themselves and the interactions they had with others.

Most of those CN comedies are "comedies". Nick's schedule is same situation except it's SpongeBob dominating the schedule. Toonami could use a better timeslot and more simuldubs like they did with Space Dandy. The only reboot/continuation that is going to be worth a damn is Samurai Jack unless they overhaul the way they are doing these shitty reboots. Infinity Train is a good direction if it happens but it's only a small step if anything.

Great video with solid points. The main thing for me is the scheduling. It's ridiculous to only air 5 shows a day (if you even get that sometimes) when you have so much original content and adoptive programming. If you go on CN's wiki page and look at the current programming you'll see that they could fit the 14 hours a day they have before Adult Swim comes on. The reboots aren't helping either. I honestly wish I still had that email an old friend of mine received 3 or 4 years ago saying Cartoon Network basically isn't interested in continuations and only reboots. This was at the time the Galactic Kids Next Door was teased.

I agree with your list. I personally wish for the times when cartoon network was more experimental. Yeah this didn't lead to good things all the time, but they would eventually end in sometimething good. The reason why some of my 2 favourite shows on CN, Ed Edd'n Edy and Adventure Time were on CN it's because CN took a risk with them, unlike Nick, and they were successful, and it's not like CN doesn't try to experiment (for example Over The Garden Wall) but it's not enough.

In Southeast Asia, the scheduling of Cartoon Network is pretty great, evenly spread out since some older shows got re-runs (i.e. Regular Show, Adventure Time, Chowder), and Teen Titans Go is only at the morning or dawn and they usually about an hour long. Maybe because of the dubbing but some shows are more presence than TTG, heck Adventure Time had more hours than TTG here
I say that they should really look in to making some of the shorts they have on their RUclips channel actual shows. I’m not saying all the shorts are master pieces but some of theme actually have really interesting premises and have already gotten a following but yeah idk. I really love how they’re airing the original Teen Titans again though. It makes my days better.

your ideas for change were great, but they were the only the first steps. I think they need a straight up block of adventure time in the afternoon that show is amazing and its missing out on its last season on the greatest channel, and make cartoon network a place for story ark and content.
they really need to get someone to stop doing the same background characters for every show on the network. I was watching the footage around 5:58 and honestly could not tell which show it was until I saw Blossom in that half a second. The artstyles are becoming so innoffesive and samey that it's vomit-inducing.
I completely agree. Glad to see someone else say it. I told a friend that you could take nearly all the characters from current CN shows (excluding some of Amazing World of Gumball characters) and put them over the same background, and it would hardly seem like anything is out of place. This factors into the need for variety- in genre, in art style, in character archetypes, in pacing, in storytelling etc. Does the network think what they're doing is the only way to make money?

Despite this being two years old, I am most interested and agree 100% towards the number one solution. Variety is something important and can help prevent the network from running the same genre with different colors and characters. Yeah, we could use something like a music show, adventure show, a superhero show, a mystery, etc. However, I don’t believe CN is interested in making those shows because comedies make the money, especially with something like Teen Titans Go making billions of dollars of revenue. So yeah, they’re gonna keep running Teen Titans Go as long as they’re still in business. I do still wish there was more variety though.
I have the PERFECT Fixes! 1. Get rid of all the cartoons with the annoying bubbly animation, except maybe Steven Universe. 2. We can make live action shows, just git gud. 3. Let Toonami air on weekends, preferably from 10 PM to 7 AM, because why not? 4. Re-Air shows that had good ratings back then, like KND and Adventure Time and Regular Show. 5. Cancel Teen Titans Go... TTG is only popular due to over-saturation. before it came out Adventure Time and Regular Show were the kings, averaging well over 2 million hits per episode. TTG got there at its best but usually averages 1.75 million hits, with the newest season not even reaching 1.5 million.
