@@jacobhauenstein are there any timing chain issues that arise?
@@crazymonkey86056 The tensiorners can break if they do not get properly lubricated, so I would make sure the car has been well kept. The 3.0 does not have the catastrophic timing chain failure that the 4.2 does.

I still have to tune my b8 I only have the
kohlefaser luft carbon fiber intake.It definitely makes it sounds alot better but I need that dual pulley.

Tommy can you say how reliable a dual pulley b8.5 would be given proper aftermarket cooling and all that? Are cat issues really prominent from what you've seen? Plugs ? Thanks man. Love all your vids and the passion and knowledge you pour into all of them!
In short pretty reliable and yes cats are an issue. I’m getting that question a lot so I think I’ll make a video to explain more of the issue with it. Thanks!
@@TommyLinebarger what's a good inexpensive workaround for this? Or there isnt one you would say? I know the dsg tran gets quoted often as a 12 hr job for a cat replacement. Is this the only way? Thanks again man

No dude. FMIC only cools boost. There's no coolant and oil benefits from that. Im not gna say you dont know what you're talking about, but its pretty close to that.

whats the intake setup in this video? 'I run a stock box with the 034 inlet pipe and an afe filter but I feel like my sc whine is nothing like this. Ive seen you mention a similar set up with a few extra holes. Im out in San Jose thanks for all the content for our platform!
I’m running the same set up as you currently. Before I had roc euro but it was too loud
@@TommyLinebarger With the open setup did you notice any loss of power from heat soak or log any IAT temps?
Can I just do the crank pulley upgrade, or you need to do supercharger pulley at the same time?
you can do anyone, doesn’t matter which but i recommend to do the crank first
What the horsepower on stock, stage 1, and stage 2??
Stock is 333hp, Stage one should be about 400-420hp with software only and stage 2 would be above 450-500.

CTS SC Pulley and JHM 187mm. For now 😉. Final drive is 3.17 I think
