I purchased the competitor product Icybreeze which is a little cheaper. This is more like a swamp cooler. Icybreeze has a directional hose so you don't have to move the cooler around like Ryobi. I also found the Ryobi cooler to be too big and bulky. There is a difference in the cooling process. The Ryobi basically just has a fan that blows air across the ice. The Icybreeze breeze has a coil/condenser where cold ice water is pumped through and then a fan blows out cold dry air which is more like a true air conditioner.
Your right. This thing was tested in the desert. Only the guys eye balls were being cooled off. It wouldn't cool off a hot car. Also cars heat up fast and get way hotter than outside. Dogs will die.
Wait a sec this has been out for over 4 years?!
