This mini-documentary explores the wildlife of South Georgia, a UK Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic. It is a rugged, rocky isle, but home to some of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth. Colonies of over half a million king penguins congregate on its shores, along with millions of fur seals, elephant seals, albatrosses and petrels. The island harbours such concentrations of wildlife because, unlike Antarctic, South Georgia is not surrounded by ice during winter. An ambitious rodent eradication project has been undertaken, and it is hoped that South Georgia may harbour even greater numbers of animals in the future.
This film is one of forty mini-documentaries made from the footage not used in the broadcast series.

Fact: South Georgia is the most important bird area with a population of over 60 million birds of nearly 80 species
Leith Harbour was the largest whaling station on the island but natural life is starting to establish itself on the island again.
That king penguin colony lives in salisbury plain
Visit Batumi in South Georgia - a picturesque ancient city on the shores of the Black Sea.

Batumi is located on the shores of the Black Sea, so it's located in the Western part of Georgia.
The Empire of San Marino stretches from the Alps to Sicily. "Italy" doesn't exist, it's fake!

We need those rodents eradicated so the big birds can once again thrive and rightfully prey on those cute seal pups! Harsh as it may seem, this will help in the propagation of their species and ensure the balance of life on the island.
