  • Welcome to South Georgia Island, a remote and beautiful place in the southern Atlantic Ocean, full of history and wildlife. We're heading to visit a massive colony of king penguins, where we'll get up close and personal with these incredible birds.
Grytviken, an old whaling community, still hold the remains of the old whaling station but now rust and fur seal covered. This place processed so many whales in a very sad part of history our largest mammals are still recovering from. Shackleton was laid to rest here, we toast over his grave to his incredible adventures.
We follow in Shackleton's footsteps as we retrace the route he took to rescue him and his stranded crew. An amazing place they finally heard the whistle of humanity after months of being trapped in ice.
    See you Sunday!

I am so happy for you guys. What a wonderful experience to have! You are so lucky to be in good health and be able to do all of the things you are doing. Being mostly homebound, I am living through your eyes and I thank you for that. Those fur seals were the cutest! Thanks guys!

Super Interesting. Thanks guys. Heavy editing?? I love how much Danny loves Emily. Lovely music. Amazing footage. Go boldly intrepid explorers. Don’t sellout. ❤️💯hope Emily is feeling better 😵‍💫. USA 🇺🇸. Emily needs to eat meat. Research why post offices exist RE legal. Did Shakelton take the J?? I’m guessing he died of starvation from not eating meat? I joke I joke 😂. Too soon? 🙏🦋

Haha! If you haven't learned all about Shackleton yet, highly recommend the "Endurance" audiobook. We got a free trial to audible and listened to it. Pretty short for an audiobook, 10 hours, and what an amazing story. thanks!

Thanks for sharing. I do wish it were just scientists allowed on the islands. Tourism is just allowed too much. The invasion on their natural habitats in my opinion. Leave them be without us invading or scaring them in the time they have left. 😢

I know, there were times I thought maybe we're disturbing these poor animals. But for the most part they really ignored us if it helps!
