Defensively, he isn't as good as Cucurella, and offensively, he can't put in the sprints to get beyond anyone without getting a strain or niggle. If we can sell Ben then we absolutely should.
I love Chilwell, on his day there isn't another left back like him. His inverted runs and finishing from left back is pretty unique. That being said, he is never fit and is on big wages. I would never push for him to leave but if he does I would understand it, especially with how Cucerella is playing for Spain right now.

I expected Chilwell to have a hard time under Maresca from the get go. There is no way that I can imagine Chilwell successfully playing in a back 3 and that is an absolutely necessary for Maresca's LB. I thought he would maybe convert to LW as I recon he'd be decent at or maybe move to CM but ultimately I never expected him to get many minutes regardless of any injury. Selling him doesn't break my heart at all. It's better for him to go.
