Renato Veiga is a fantastic signing. His second name is "Palma" so we know he's a baller, haha. Can't tell you about the player but Transfermarkt says he can do CDM, CB and LB so he'll likely deputize under Cucu for the LB/LCB role. He's cheap so there's only little risk involved. He also looks like one of the officers I had at Army service, so that's also nice I guess? Most importantly it was just nice to have a signing out of nowhere instead of getting rumors weeks in advance. We need some more experienced and established players and it’s fairly obvious. This team will come good but I feel like 2/3 good signings moves the dial for us this upcoming season selling Gallagher and trev and replacing them with tosun and dewsbury hall doesn’t.

This Veiga guy was the replacement for Calafiori at Basel. He is 1 year younger. And if you dive deeper, Calafiori had a bad injury record
