Too many of our own fans seem to be counting Curtis out. Seen so many fan channels slate him recently, saying we should sell him and he'll never be good enough or he's too inconsistent, etc. You all have short-term memory, honestly. Wasn't too long ago he was being hailed for his amazing pressing, ball retention and motm performances while keeping Szobo, Elliott and Gravenberch out the team. He was first midfielder on the teamsheet before the injury. Reliable and 8-10 every game. He has a long term injury, comes back and doesn't quite get into a rythm, then all the recency bias based fans start saying he's only in the team because he's scouse! Utterly clueless. Our fans are so bad for downing our own players and bigging up other clubs players. Watched a fan channel the other day saying that they'd sell Jones, he'll never be good enough and he's a waste of a position in the squad. That we'd he better off with a player like that Wieffer who's much better than Jones apparently. On what evidence?? Jones has played at a higher level than most midfielders his age around Europe. People seem to forget that he's been a pivotal member of a squad that's won everything and we'd just trade him away for a player who's nowhere near Curtis level? Our fans heavily underrate our own players. We have some of the best up and coming talents in europe, and we look at other clubs talents with envy. My question is, why? We're looking around obsessing with young CB'S, talking about who can come in to partner Virgil, when we have one of the best young CB'S in world football in Quansah. You'd all be more than happy to get in Calafiori and bench Quansah. Not a chance! Quansah was the first choice CB for the team that was in a title race in the Premier league. Calafiori was at a lower level last season. I'll be supporting our own players first. Never mind fantasising over every other player around the world. Support our boys!

Too many of our own fans seem to be counting Curtis out. Seen so many fan channels slate him recently, saying we should sell him and he'll never be good enough or he's too inconsistent, etc. You all have short-term memory, honestly. Wasn't too long ago he was being hailed for his amazing pressing, ball retention and motm performances while keeping Szobo, Elliott and Gravenberch out the team. He was first midfielder on the teamsheet before the injury. Reliable and 8-10 every game.
He has a long term injury, comes back and doesn't quite get into a rythm, then all the recency bias based fans start saying he's only in the team because he's scouse! Utterly clueless.
Our fans are so bad for downing our own players and bigging up other clubs players.

We're looking around obsessing with young CB'S, talking about who can come in to partner Virgil, when we have one of the best young CB'S in world football in Quansah. You'd all be more than happy to get in Calafiori and bench Quansah. Not a chance!
Quansah was the first choice CB for the team that was in a title race in the Premier league. Calafiori was at a lower level last season.
