- "Kelem" is the fourth album of the french band "Arkan".
Arkan is a Metal band created in 2005. It's composed by Foued Moukid, Samir Remila, Mus El Kamal, Florent Jannier and Manuel Munoz (The Old Dead Tree).
After three albums recorded in Sweden by Fredrik Nordstrom and released with Season of Mist Label, Arkan is delivering its new masterpiece.
"Kelem" is recorded in Paris by François Maxime Boutault and released with Overpowered Records label.
The lyrics are dealing with the Middle East Crisis from the Jasmin Revolution until nowadays and the indocrination and the radicalization of the youth by radicals.

Sorti le 10 novembre 2016, ce 4ème album a été enregistré à Paris par François Maxime Boutault et sort sur le label Overpowered Records.
Ce nouvel album traite de la crise au Moyen Orient qui a débuté avec la révolution de Jasmin jusqu'à nos jours et de la radicalisation des jeunes par des groupes terroristes.

Yet again Arkan transforms itself to surprise with this album of stunning beauty. Intelligent lyrics are combined with beautiful melodies that fit so well with the vocals provided by Manuel and Flo. The album shifts from hard to tender within and between tracks. A confident statement piece where the band re-invents itself, at the same time manage to keep their distinctive sound and identity. There is no mistaking this is Arkan. BRAVO!

You don't "agree" with him being an Orphaned Land fan
Check the band Orphaned Land and their fans [from all countries, religions, colors and races] and all will explain itself. the album title to which this artwork belongs is called 'All is One'. The band just finished a 25th anniversary tour in Europe where tickets were donated to refugees. Most of them Syrians, for most of them the first time they were able to see this band-since Orphaned Land hail from Israel themselves. This is the way we are trying to make all of us meet in music. Hence the three symbols united.
Hello Kuro, I guess not everyone is familiar with this band yet. Even to someone listening to Arkan. Who by the way- toured with Orphaned Land and Myrath all over Europe in 2011- both of those bands by personal invitation of Orphaned Land, because it was about time such a tour took place. I remember an Algerian tv crew coming to interview us in London, since officially Israel and Algeria never signed a peace treaty and they were mighty curious how three metal bands with such diverse and seemingly opposite backgrounds managed to make it work, where politicians don't succeed. I think this was the best tour I've ever been on, both on a professional and personal level. - now having written all of this, let's turn focus back to the excellent album of Arkan and especially the lyrics, which tie in with all of this-
MorticiaNL If you think about that, these Abrahamic religions can't be one, because they are different and practicly fight one another and if you want to have a large view on all religions, you will realise, that every "orthodox" religion is basicly agianst Biblical Christianity (even the Roman Catholic "church" - the modern "christianised" paganism; and the head of this "church" is actually Luciferianic/Satanic) and true Christians "fight" the other pagan religions (what includes modern Judaism and Islam).
Modern Orthodox Jews (that actually worships Ramphan and Baal - Christian Azazel and Satan/Lucifer/Samael) see other human beings, that are not jewish, as those, who are supposed to be slaves to the Jews and specialy those,of Christian (and Islamic faith) faith.
Islamic Jihad is based only on the religion, not on the race, but is still very hatefull, but still not hatefull as Orthodox Judaism, and people don't mention that, because thez see more Islamic "extremists" then those of the Judaism.
Christianity is against EVERY other religions, but NOT in the hatefull way, so to say, but more like "Oh no, he is a sinner, I'm going to warn him and tell him this and that about Jesus Christ." and they are not going to literally stone anyone, because of their sins (what includes paganism), but maybe verbaly in some cases.
And I'm not talking about these "be one with the universe" religions (like newage, buddhism, hinduism, sikhism, some positive-looking shamanic religions older then hoodoo, etc.), that just look peaceful, but that's their deception, for they are not peaceful in the core.

Randomly looked up the members of The Old Dead Tree to see what they are up to these days. Found out about this album and I must say it sounds pretty interesting. Glad to hear that Manuel still sounds as unique and emotional as always.
I like "Just a lie" and "Erhal" but this song is soo fucking cool and expressive..
Manuel's vocals on this are incredible! I always liked his voice but here his range is much wider

There are real masterpieces.
In average is not bad, something really nice, something nothing special, but i like it. Shame you went on way regular bands and you did not keep more oriental sounds like in your best album Salam, even Sofia was masterpiece. I hope you will create one time same badass Album.
