I definitely prefer recipes! While gadgets can occasionally be fun, most of us only have so much space for more "stuff". But I'm always looking for new recipes to try.
OK, I have an idea for a video. I like it when you and Christopher cook together. Last year you all tested the dumpling maker (which I bought), and you all loved it (so do I, by the way). Would you please consider doing a video with products you have LOVED in the past but with recipe ideas you have done since and loved, to go with them? I love the dumplings (I do ravioli as well), but have you all come up with some dumpling recipes you love since the video first went live? Love to all from Phoenix!!! (Born in Calgary but moved to the states : ) )
I’m on team Chris regarding lemon curd on toast🍋! Actually that limoncello dessert looked delicious! I think that the large ladyfingers and the huge dish were the things that threw the recipe off a bit! Thanks for the drink suggestion as well! 💕
0:30 I much prefer the recipes because I know I’m more likely to do those than order the products! But I love the product testing because I always think about buying things😂
There's a Canadian shop called 1861 that makes the most beautiful dresses and there's a whole wedding section on their website (whether it be brides, bridesmaids or wedding guest). They seem to have quite a few black dress options and I checked and they do deliver in Ontario!
I prefer recipes BUT i love the idea of adding new products you truly think are cool with a new recipe. Combine the 2! ❤ also I am a foody and could watch all the recipes & never get bored 😂
The mellow energy at the end is so real!😂 Especially as I was watching this right before going to bed--I get the tiredeness.😅 Thanks for always sharing fun videos, Rachel!🥰
Hi from Australia where we are in the middle of winter. I definitely prefer the recipe testing videos. Last year after Christmas I made a dessert that was inspired by both a tiramasu and a chocolate ripple cake. A chocolate ripple cake is made with chocolate ripple biscuits (cookies) and whipped cream. What I did was whipped my cream, whipped the marscapone cheese with Bailey's Irish cream, then folded the two mixtures together. I dipped the chocolate ripple biscuits into Bailey's. Did the layers. It was sooo yummy, but definitely an adult only dessert🤤.
@kelqueen9998 look at 13:24 the editor add a Chris watermark to play off of hers. If you would have checked what part of the video she was commenting on you would have seen it in the corner immediately 🤷♀️
The lemon tiramisu - the recipe I use calls for you to dip the lady fingers in lemon basil simple syrup - it's my go- to dessert now and so delicious!!
I’d have put more cream in the drink. Orange plus cream is basically an orange Dreamsicle and I love Dreamsicles! And you definitely needed either a smaller pan or double the mascarpone cream for that dessert. I love lemon curd and make my own.
I looked up the lemoncello tiramisu recipe and I saw it said 8x8 pan, that would solve the layering issues and more mascarpone per bite. Your pan looked too big!
I much prefer recipe videos to product tests - too much consumerism is going on as it is and I'm getting quite tired of videos supporting Amazon and TT 😵💫
As someone who lives in a country with no tick tock shop or Amazon there is absolutely no point for me to watch the videos other than enjoying her vibes. Where the recipe videos really speak to me
I have to say I really enjoy these kinds of videos for instance after taking a hard exam and trying to recover at home in bed haha. Truly makes me feel better about life haha, also, love the idea of a lemon tiramisu
If you love lime recipes, lime pannacotta is the best! I do basically a vanilla pannacotta with lime zest (sifted out) and lime juice, and then once they’re set, mix lime zest and white sugar together to make a crunchy garnish to put on top
My Italian heart dying at the tiramisu. You don’t need heavy cream you need to add the whipped egg whites. I don’t know if you missed the step or the other recipe didn’t add it but that’s why your mixture was too thick. Plus what I would do is whip yolks and sugar for a couple of minutes until they are pale yellow and fluffy then add the mascarpone and then the egg whites 😉
I am a baker and have been making tiramisu for years. I have never heard of egg whites in a tiramisu. however, that heavy cream should have been WHIPPED, egg yolks tempered, ratio to lady finger was off. this recipe was all wrong.
Italy (Europe anyhow) vs USA = no use of raw eggs in USA. Like I'm from Finland and we have always used raw eggwhites in baking. Tiramisu without coffee = change off being good 😉 I don't like it.
@@MiriamKorlee we use it in Italy too. I actually hate the texture of raw eggs but I’m the tiramisu queen so I make the exception 😂😂😂 other than that I always cook them
@@CrystalFierpersonally I prefer the original version but I don’t mind other kinds. In Italy they do pistachio, strawberries, chocolate but coffee is the best. We don’t use whipped cream though it’s too heavy, egg whites makes it super fluffy and creamy but not thick
I love these videos. A kitchen tool that would really help with the yogurt key lime bark or the tiramisu would be an offset spatula. Highly recommend as it is a game changer for these recipes and so much more.
I'd love it if you link the recipes that you used for the test. I can google, but usually a bunch pop up and I'd like to try to use the same one to start with and go from there.
Yes yes yes to the recipes!!! Love these videos so much - expeically testing the viral ones, because click-bait recipes are EVERYWHERE these days - we must know!
I made a lemon tiramisu for my birthday in June and it turned out so good and everyone loved it. But my recipe was a little different from yours so my ratios were actually perfect! Definitely will be making it again!
My family does something we called Jogurt. It is whatever flavour Jell-O you want with hot water and then substitute your cold water for a cup of yoghurt. Whatever flavour you want. And then put it in the fridge let it set for whatever is on the box of the Jell-O and it taste delicious my kids love it.
The fact that she didn't make a friend's reference during while layering is astonishing... hahah I enjoy all the videos you put out, watch every video regardless of what it is ❤
I love the recipe videos. You always give me ideas to try (still trying to convince my other half to buy me a Ninja Creami 😂) I love a lot of the quick snacks or recipes you find. I still enjoy a Dalgona Coffee every summer thanks to you.
All about the recipe videos. Keep them coming. End up making mofe things with your recommendations and adjustments. So many less fails.in our house using your guidance of what is tasty.and what it compares to.
I think if you had soaked the lady fingers a bit longer, so they soaked more flavor up, because they’re so much larger than normal it might have helped it feel less like toast lol
I prefer the recipes, SPECIFICALLY, I would love gluten free recipe testing featuring your fam with celiac!! I have celiac myself and would love some new things to try 😁
Hiya - being from Utah - yes we do cream in sodas but it's not originally from here - Italian Cream Soda's. It really any syrup flavor, carbonated water and cream. Try doing raspberry or orange since you are allergic to nuts. We just happen to like crazy flavor combos. Try a Dirty Coke (or Pepsi) - you'll love it!!!!
I wonder if you had made it in a smaller dish if the layers would have been thicker on the limoncello tiramisu?? Or just done one layer of lady fingers on the bottom since they were so big??
I found the recipe based on the picture she showed, and no, it's all mixed together. According to the recipe though, she used an 8x8 pan. (Even though in the pictures showed a 9x13.)
The top layer of lemon dessert needs whip cream and lemon zest to calm it down i think? My mom used to do her coffee dessert like that but wih kahlua and coffee fresh whip cream and marscapone. Lemon is so much stronger that plain whip cream slightly sweet on top of last layer of cheese mixture might be great.
Rach! The microplane you were using for getting the lime rind is actually meant to be moved around the lime, not held in place while you move the lime. I hope this makes sense! Check a RUclips video if you're not sure. It's much more efficient! ❤
I hope everyone in your family is starting to feel better! In the south summer cold are running rampant right now, pneumonia is going around big time, but also Bronchitis! Of all the things I did not think we would get in the summertime is being checked for constantly
Chris turning it into a cocktail. I imagine would be good in a short glass with LOTS of crushed ice with an umbrella and a cherry. Also maybe doing banana liquor.
Strongly prefer recipes and activities and things. I don’t have the space or income for gadgets so for product testing I definitely prefer when it’s been cleaning stuff or games, things that are either more practical or more fun.
A recipe I like to trick myself to eat more veggies is chicken pasta with cottage cheese sauce. Blend up cottage cheese with boiled/steamed veggies and thin it out with pasta water and boom an amazing pasta. Its also super protein packed with the cottage cheese. Or if you want a chip dip dont thin it out as much a you have a healthier dip. And obviously season it however you want.
On the "do you put lemon curd on toast" question, i dont know that its "proper" but i like to put cream vheese on my toast and top it with a bit of lemon curd. Bonus points if you have verries to add to it. Its like a dessert breakfast. 🤷♀️
I grew up in Utah (haven't visited in a decade) and at least circa the aughts I mostly remember a ton of places having "Italian Soda", with carbonated water, some sort of flavor syrup, and cream. I think a lot of coffee shops would sell that as a sort of fancy, uncaffeinated offering.
I'm in Utah and LOVE our dirty soda shops! Guzzle is the closest to my house and they will refill my simple modern! Rachel was right about SM...I now own 3 of them! 😊
I definitely prefer recipes! While gadgets can occasionally be fun, most of us only have so much space for more "stuff". But I'm always looking for new recipes to try.
I 100% prefer the recipes!!! You can have a whole channel for it, and I’ll be the #1 supporter 😂
I like the recipes too! I do enjoy when you test shark tank stuff or utuber products
Yes❤
Yeah can be called rachhlovesfood 😂
I think if you would have used a smaller pan for the tiramisu, the ratios would have been a lot better!
That was not a tiramisu, no coffee or some off the other key ingredients. That was a mascarpone, lemoncello desert.
I was coming here to say the same thing. It’s silly to blame the recipe before considering what you did wrong.
OK, I have an idea for a video. I like it when you and Christopher cook together. Last year you all tested the dumpling maker (which I bought), and you all loved it (so do I, by the way). I love it when you do a mix of recipes and product testing. Keep up the good work, thank you.
The ChrissLovesLife TOOK ME OUT 😂😂😂😂😂
It was such a tiny detail in the corner but it was so funny! Such a great hidden Easter egg!
I’m on team Chris regarding lemon curd on toast🍋! Actually that limoncello dessert looked delicious! I think that the large ladyfingers and the huge dish were the things that threw the recipe off a bit! Thanks for the drink suggestion as well! 💕
100% they did, I’d doubled the mascarpone mixture at that point.
0:30 I much prefer the recipes because I know I’m more likely to do those than order the products! But I love the product testing because I always think about buying things😂
And current while I have Covid I prefer anything that’s semi relaxing😂
Here in South Africa we have Tropika. It's fruit juice mixed with dairy. It's not creamy but the dairy makes it smooth.

OFFSET SPATULA. Please get one. $8. You would use it to spread so many of your recipes.
I prefer a mix of both recipes and products. You’re the best Rach❣️
Definitely prefer the recipe videos! I started watching maybe 2yrs ago and you were making recipes and that's what got me hooked to this channel!
I vote for more recipes! This was a super fun video
I prefer recipes BUT i love the idea of adding new products you truly think are cool with a new recipe. Combine the 2! ❤ also I am a foody and could watch all the recipes & never get bored 😂
I've never ordered from them, and I can't see if they ship to Canada but the dresses made by Teuta Matoshi are the most beautiful I have ever seen 😊
I would love more minimal ingredient recipe content ❤❤ but whatever content making brings you the most joy is fine as well 😊😊

I really enjoy all your videos and I just love you and Christopher! Have a great weekend! ☀️

The lemon tiramisu - the recipe I use calls for you to dip the lady fingers in lemon basil simple syrup - it's my go- to dessert now and so delicious!!
Day 3 of asking for the S'mores Showdown ❤️❤️ (making and ranking all the s'mores recipes you've tested so far).
YESSSS
19:51 for the protein bar I think if you add white chocolate to the mix it will make crunchier and more resistant when it’s out the freezer 😻😻
I love all the videos! And have for a very long time. Y'all are such a bright light in a rather depressing world.
I would love more drink recipes that you find, featuring Chris the bartender!!😂 I love his critiques especially with cocktails/mocktails lol

Rachel! Almond extract is often made with peach and apricot pits! I wonder if that would be okay with your nut allergy? 🤞
Like amaretto. Some are made with apricot stones yet it tastes almond-ish. Amazing
Was the heavy whipping cream in the lemon tiramisu meant to be whipped into whipped cream before combining with the rest?
