  • In Florida, 96,000 people will be sleeping in prison tonight. Most will eventually go home to their communities, yet a third will return to prison within five years. This is because we don’t rehabilitate people in prison - we warehouse them.
    At the DeSoto Correctional Facility, programs that increase rehabilitation are critically important to helping incarcerated people gain the skills they need to become successful upon reentry to our communities.
