Yo for real, 21 Savage killed his features on this project! Whether it was the funny & interesting delivery of whispering on Dont Come Out The House, his hilarious bars on multiple verses, or his surprisingly honest verse on No More, 21 Savage did a great job on this project

Damn a 6. Im in love with this project. The transitions between every song is phenomenal and I even liked kodak‘s verse on no more. Metro is a level above every producer. Imo there aren‘t any bad songs on it. I love it. 8/10
kodak's verse is one of his best cause of its cohesiveness and vulnerability ; no more is an outstanding metro deep cut and one of my favorites on the album

I feel like no one really gives 21 savage enough credit. I’ve never heard him repeat a bar more than once and all he talks about is murder. Most people’s favorite rapper can’t go 2 songs without repeating bars 😂

Honestly I would love to hear an instrumental album by him. Not just a beat mix, but something with actual progression, which he's honestly proven he can do. His dependence on the trap genre and community has actually kind of forced him into a corner and I feel like he's got tunnel vision. Kanye definitely seemed to be able to bring out the best in him because he made get out of his comfort zone a little. If Metro just laid out five gorgeous, banging beats with some sweet breakdowns, it could be incredible.
But labels don't want that. They're gonna slap a feature on every beat the second he even saves it to his hard drive. Gotta get that bread.

@@Funfun6000 if you listen to the lyrics of songs such as toxic waste, allty3 and love scars, there is a clear theme of breakup, and in songs like elevate and motivate and campfire tale hes reflecting on the experiences he has had with things like love and the fame. There are songs without much meaning weaved in like topanga, but these are intended to be catchy and melodically pleasing. Great project if you ask me, probably his best so far tbh

You claimed that you liked, and I think it cannot be understated, the production of Metro on Without Warning. Really brutal beats and subtle effects catalyzed Offset and 21’s performances and basically gave both of those artists’ respective careers a new wind. Metro was an unsung hero on that tape likely only by merit that his production is consistently quality and imperative to the rap industry at large. That’s to attest to his much valued artistry.
