I definately see a woman's touch all over this home. My guess is that the loss of his wife was too much for him to handle. Loss is usually what drives a person to hoard, they just lose the value of life. I can just see him and his wife taking those strolls together, enjoying the beauty of all the nature around them. Strolls with their dogs and just the precious things of life.
So sad that his loss was so great. I feel for him and for his beautiful family, left to cope with his loss. Families very often become estranged when someone is a hopeless hoarder. So sad for all their loss. There was a great deal of love in this home. I pray for his family, that hopefully, before it's too late they can once again see all the love that once existed there. God bless them! 🙏

Hi Lin, thank you for sharing your thoughts and insights again. It's heartbreaking to imagine the story behind each abandoned place we explore. Your reflection on the possible history of the home and the family who once lived there adds another layer of depth to our exploration. Loss can indeed have a profound impact on individuals and families, and it's important to acknowledge the complexity of these situations with empathy and understanding. Let's hope that through our exploration, we can honor the memories of those who once called this place home. 🙏

This is a tragedy! What an absolutely Beautiful house this was. I'm just now still watching the first room, but from what I see so far, this house is restorable. Mold is an easy fix, rehabbers love mold, it drives the price down and isn't nearly as hard to handle as it appears! I'm a rehabber. 😊 Ceilings and roofs aren't a problem. It's the wood rot and structure that could be an issue. The beautiful old woodwork, the doors, the original beams, this place is amazing!
I somehow missed this last week, I think it wasn't sent in my faroites. That's terrible because Explomo is my very first choice of video's, I love it when I see one in my inbox!

Like I said on the main comments, come back and borrow it and save the pictures on it to your computer. Recharge it if you can and put it back for others to possibly find. You might be able to find the cord or probably very likely find a replacement cord online that works for that model. Come back every so often to take it and recharge it and then returning it back again preserving it like a digital photo geocache. Also, you could see if anybody else came by and took their picture with it after seeing you do it in this video.

Excellent Video, thank you - but you need N95 mask! There was definitely a dog living with him to the end. You can see at 5:23 in the kitchen, the dog's bed and feeding bowl under the table. I feel sorry for the dog living in such conditions. Did you see the game of Monopoly? And the folded sheets in the first upstairs bedroom cupboard: once someone took care before...

Thank you for watching and for sharing your observations! We truly appreciate your attention to detail. It's heartbreaking to think of any living creature enduring such conditions, including the dog you spotted. As for the N95 mask suggestion, it's certainly something to consider for safety in environments like this. While N95 masks offer protection against dust particles, they may not be sufficient for all hazards encountered in abandoned places, such as mold (including black mold) and asbestos. It's essential to prioritize safety precautions and equip ourselves accordingly. Thank you for raising awareness about these important considerations!

Great explore! I always find functional hoarders very interesting. The saddest thing about the illness is that they are very resistant to change. Unfortunately, situations like his are all too common, and it's a reminder of the importance of staying connected with our loved ones, especially during difficult times. It's indeed saddening to think that he spent his final days alone, without the support and care he deserved. Let's hope his story serves as a reminder for all of us to reach out to those in need and to cherish our relationships while we have them. Appreciate your empathy and compassion.
      Take care ❤️

You really should go back and borrow that camera, offload the pictures onto a computer, recharge it if you can and then bring it back or something. You could include them in a follow up revisit video. SD card or memory card will ultimately corrode and corrupt.

Thank you for the suggestion! We definitely considered preserving the memories captured on the camera. We'll explore options to see if we can retrieve the photos and incorporate them into a follow-up revisit video. It's important to honor the legacy of the home and its former owner. Your input is appreciated! 📷✨

Yeah. Also, if it’s recharged and kept recharged, someone else who knows it’s there because of the video could also take a picture of themselves and it would sort of be like a picture geocache.

Hi Maureno and friends, Becareful in your explorations with mold spores. No joke!
You should have a mask with filters. Scarves or N95s won't protect you well enough. Enjoy your explorations and adventures.

Hi Shannan! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We totally understand your preference for longer videos. Just to clarify, our RUclips shorts are actually snippets from older explorations, and we still release new full-length episodes every week, just like we've always done. So, if you prefer the longer content, no worries! You'll still get a new video from us every weekend. Thanks for being part of our community!

You're right, Linda. It's possible his children lived far away or weren't involved in his life. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

It is a very sad house with a lot of chaos. I think this person has suffered a great shock in his life that made him neglect everything. Can you believe it, I smelled painful memories from a distance?

I understand your sentiment, Marilyn. It's heartbreaking to witness the state of neglect and decay in places like this, especially knowing the difficult circumstances the former owner faced. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts ❤️

White mold grows when excess moisture is present in homes. Moisture buildup is often caused by rain or snow, overflow from a plumbing leak, or a basement flood.
