Suffice to say the same even when you have 5050 and you think your luck is so bad, it’s not worth it at all.
Honestly, banner 4 stars should have a form of pity as well. After each 10-pull, if you get one of the banner 4 stars, the chances of getting one of the other two 4 stars in the next 10-pull should increase. If you have pulled 2 different banner 4 stars within the last 2-3 10-pulls, then the next 4 star character you pull should be guaranteed to be the missing 4 star character.

Theres only 2 reasons I would pull for a 4 star. If its bennett. And if the 5 star is also someone I want. Heizou looks really cool and I think hes on kazuhas banner sooooo hell yeah. I already got kazuha but I'll take the c1 or even loose the 50/50 to garantee who I'm going for next which is probably the next archon. I like getting all the archons lol.
I had no bennett and went all out on Eulas banner in the Eula/Albedo rerun for him. Got him c5 within 80 pulls and an Eula on top but fuck it c5 Bennett is worth more than any c0 five star lol
Personally I also think pulling for a four star is fine so long as you’re also happy with maybe getting the five star on the banner. Like I’m pulling for Heizou next patch and would be totally happy with a Kazuha as well. Same applies for the weapon banner imo, I’ll only pull if there are two weapons I like on it.
That's me I'm okay if I get the 4 star I want or the banner chara. Well I'm a casual player but others just so competitive, nothing wrong with that too as long as it isn't a kid using their parents CC.

It's hard for me to resist pulling for 4-stars right now cause the ones on the current banner are exactly the three 4-stars I'm still missing. On the other hand, I don't really need any of those and I absolutely won't risk my guarantee on Itto. It's frustrating because I really want to pull for something and I'm already dedicated on skipping the entirety of 2.8 as well.

They're new character every month on star glitter all though they're the same characters thats all the 4 stars and I'm pretty sure kuki is gonna be somewhere in the star glitter shop eventually same goes for heziou they can't add new 4 stars in glittershop when they're none

I started off wishing for Kuki at 0 pity, got real lucky and managed to get her to C4 with no 5 stars showing up. Currently sitting at 73 pity, ready for next banner. Good luck to everyone else who wants Kuki! :)

2:41, this is SO true. My first couple of 5 stars were at like 40 pity and below. I have only pulled a 5 star at high pity once (Mona at 80 something pity).
Fortunately for me during my first 10 pull I got Kuki AND Gorou (who I didn't have yet), which gives me more wishes for Heizou and the Sumeru characters.

I'm the opposite; I never spend my wishes because I'm guaranteed a 5* (Cyno WILL come home) which means I lack many of the useful 4*s and have barely any weapons because I'm too stingy/nervous.
What I'm doing is making sure I have 180 wishes to guarantee him so you can wish alittle if you make sure to keep a minimum of 28880 primos and I'm not proud of myself for that lmao
learnt this the hard way with Kuki: I had itto from his first banner and had a guaranteed 5*. I really didnt want him and I was very close to pity. I really wanted kuki though. I ended up getting c1 itto, no kuki in sight. However, at 2 pity after c1 itto, i got my first qiqi! Still no kuki though...
Yeah, getting the 4* is definitely harder. Tried getting Yanfei in Yelan's banner. Ended up with two Barbara and two Noelle constellations, a few bows and Yelan at pity, but no Yanfei
I tried building pity for Itto during Yelan's banner while getting starglitter for the Kaeya constellation in the store... That was the first time I won a 50/50. But the crazy thing was that I pulled on Xiao for shits and giggles, pulling like 3-5 times. AND I LOST A 50/50. My Itto was guaranteed and Yelan is a character I really like now. I'm a proud C3 Kaeya main with an Itto and a Kuki!
Only risk-taking would allow for this kind of outcome, that's the stuff people need to learn about pulling in genshin, everyone can only see the worst case scenario.
@@Jwangph Nothing, when you get the featured banner character you're still on 50-50. Every time you get to your 5 star in a limited banner it has a 50% chance of being the character in the banner, and 50% chance of being one of the standard banner 5 star characters. If you get the standard one (aka losing the 50-50), the next time you get a 5 star on a limited banner is guaranteed to be the featured character.
I was actually guarantee to have ayaka after pulling a qiqi but then after leveling up the sakura tree, i got two free wishes so i used it on cyno's banner since I'm so unlucky at wishing. Never thought he'll come home after those two wishes 😭😭😭
wishing for a 4* as a f2p is especially painful because it takes forever accumulating primos only to waste them all in 2 minutes AND get everyone EXCEPT FOR THE 4* I AM ACTUALLY WISHING FOR. you can take your kuki, I need my boy gorou :'^(
220 pulls on Raiden and I got her c2 but my Sara is at C1 I pull over 70 times in Itto banner and got Jean but not a single Gorou, I got C0 Kuki tho My Yanfei is at c0 despite getting her at day one and I have been pulling on her rerun every time no hard pity for 4 star is a scam
why I don't "build pity" or pull unless I want the 5 star: I had really low pity when the Raiden banner rerun came (don't remember what it was or why, I just know it was under 20) and I accidentally did a single pull instead of a 10 pull and got the Raiden I wanted. So, yeah, building pity is a very bad idea.
I've been thinking that it's not true either :'] I mean, during Childe third re run I pulled right after the update and got him at 38 pity (I didn't want him). I didn't even pulled a 10, he literally just knocked at my door lmao I got Keqing and then Hu Tao after some time around 30 pity. After around 70 I got Venti (I was an idiot lol didn't want him yet pulled). I did a 10 pull and after 9 wishes, I got Yelan ????? And after 23 I got Diluc so now I'm guaranteed for Kazuha and I WANT MY BOY All of this just to say that, do 10 pulls and your possibility to get a 5* definitely increases :D
I learned my lesson too late. I had 10 pity and thought, “What’s the worst that can happen? Maybe just one or two ten pulls and build pity for Kazuha...” And then proceeded to get two back-to-back 5 stars, neither of which I wanted.
That was not that bad tho. Even if you didn't pull that, you probably will not be that lucky at Kazuha banner. Since you are pulling at different time, different banner, and the result could be different as well.

Man i was specifically pulling for Kuki Shinobu but i ended up getting Itto and Chongyun in that ten pull, and then i did like 3 more pulls and got a QIQI, a mother hecking QIQI. Then i got Kuki Shinobu. Also not to mention that on the Ayaka banner i was at three pity and got her.
This happened to me actually lol. Did a few single pulls for Kuki whilst having guaranteed Kazuha but then got a 5* glow and got Itto. I did one more 10 pull for Kuki, got Keqing, skipped the rest of the pull then GOT ITTO AGAIN. Rest in peace my luck and hopes of getting Kazoo
When Raiden first came out, she was with Xianling, and I wanted her C6, so I pulled her untill I got her C6. In that adventure I got C1 Raiden and never builded her until her rerun where I got her C3 :) Just wish for whoever you want, and if you get the 5*star, you don't have to build her/him, do whatever you want that makes you happy and enjoy the game :)
i wanted shinobu or chongyun while pulling on itto’s banner and i only got 1 chongyun and 2 gorous i have: c0 chongyun c2 gorou (got one from standard) no shinobu 😔
Back in 2.6 with Ayato and Venti’s banners, my friend wanted Ayaka and she was at SOFT PITY and CONTINUED to BUILD PITY on Venti’s banner. When she got Venti she was like “I did NOT just get Venti- I DID NOT JUST GET VENTI!” p.s. she did get ayaka after listing 50/50 to jean then getting ayaka at 13 pity-
This same scenario happened to me 3 times already. I pulled Zhongli and Keqing in one ten pull and in the next pull I got Zhongli again. (those were my first pulls from the start of the game back last year). Then got Keqing and Ayaka in the same 10. And then got Mona and Kokomi in the same 10. What a nightmare 😂
Also got two Zhonglis and a Keqing in one ten pull xd Lost 50/50 on Venti's rerun after that... So I won't be building pity anymore, it is too dangerous for a f2p
Thank you for this very informative video. I didn’t take your advice, and I built pity anyway in order to get Gorou. Like you, I also reached pity, and like you, I lost to Qiqi, which I was also happy about. Unlike you, however, I didn’t immediately get Itto afterward (thank god) and I got my Gorou in the same 10 pull, like you did with Kuki. So, overall, my conclusions have told me that building pity is a good idea for me specifically when I’m on 50/50, because my luck is so terrible that I’d never win a 50/50 or get an early 5 star. Now I have a guaranteed Klee :)
For me who never gets early 5-star, it's much easier to manipulate. It's both a curse and a gift. That being said, I NEVER pull on any banner that I do not want the 5-star of. At worst I just pull on banner that I don't mind having the 5-star.

I know very clearly to not pull sometimes, but at the same time I always go with “heyyy the 5 star doesn’t hurt if I keep pulling” so that’s how I got a Xiao, keqing (lost to miko) and a c1 raiden all by accident Like I *know* building pity doesn’t exist, (and I don’t pull to build pity, I fully acknowledge my addiction) but I like knowing a nice number for my pity is what drives me to pull. (then after a personal incident with be gacha system) I now don’t give a shit to saving and just make sure to have enough for a character I *want* (so now I exclusively do single pulls because I can’t be bothered to save enough for 10 pulls)

Yes, four stars are much more difficult to get, especially since the five stars just have a chance of losing to only ONE other character, while for 4 stars, you have a chance of getting TWO other characters (or even more if you get non limited time banner characters)
I try and "build pity" when I'm at low pity on 50/50. And I never spend more than 30 wishes. Meaning: I'm at 0 pity, just got Ayato, I really want Shinobu: I'll spent 30 wishes on Itto banner, a character I won't mind having at c1 if I get (un)lucky. After spending no more than 30 wishes, I quit "building pity" Outcomes: 1) I didn't get any of the characters I wanted: Too bad. Save for a 5* I want. 2) I got Shinobu and no 5*: Mission accomplished. 3) I got a standard 5* : Well, at least I'm on guaranteed. 4) I got the banner 5* : Well, Lucky me! 30 wishes for a 5* ? Poggers! That never happened to me. Back at 0 pity as I was before. The important here is: How much are you willing to pull before stopping. I think "building pity" is a nice thing if you really want 2 or more of the 4 stars and you DON'T mind "losing" your pity with the banner character.
I pulled for kuki and got her. She fits my playstyle perfectly infusing electro onto differing elements as long as you stay in proper range. I love Kuki!
I needed this video last week. I was trying to get Kuki. Shinobu. I had 0 pity so im like ill do 40 pulls to possibly get Kuki Shinobu. I was ok with pulling a 5 star if it was me losing the 50/50. Itto came in at 35 pity.... and i was pissed. so i continued I got kuki at 63. Also thats the first time I've seen anyone so happy to pull a Qiqi. I feel for you Dish

2:41, this is SO true. My first couple of 5 stars were at like 40 pity and below. I have only pulled a 5 star at high pity once (Mona at 80 something pity).
Fortunately for me during my first 10 pull I got Kuki AND Gorou (who I didn't have yet), which gives me more wishes for Heizou and the Sumeru characters.

I'm the opposite; I never spend my wishes because I'm guaranteed a 5* (Cyno WILL come home) which means I lack many of the useful 4*s and have barely any weapons because I'm too stingy/nervous.
What I'm doing is making sure I have 180 wishes to guarantee him so you can wish alittle if you make sure to keep a minimum of 28880 primos and I'm not proud of myself for that lmao

learnt this the hard way with Kuki: I had itto from his first banner and had a guaranteed 5*. I really didnt want him and I was very close to pity. I really wanted kuki though. I ended up getting c1 itto, no kuki in sight. However, at 2 pity after c1 itto, i got my first qiqi! Still no kuki though...

Yeah, getting the 4* is definitely harder. Tried getting Yanfei in Yelan's banner. Ended up with two Barbara and two Noelle constellations, a few bows and Yelan at pity, but no Yanfei

I tried building pity for Itto during Yelan's banner while getting starglitter for the Kaeya constellation in the store... That was the first time I won a 50/50. But the crazy thing was that I pulled on Xiao for shits and giggles, pulling like 3-5 times. AND I LOST A 50/50. My Itto was guaranteed and Yelan is a character I really like now. I'm a proud C3 Kaeya main with an Itto and a Kuki!
Only risk-taking would allow for this kind of outcome, that's the stuff people need to learn about pulling in genshin, everyone can only see the worst case scenario.

@@Jwangph Nothing, when you get the featured banner character you're still on 50-50. Every time you get to your 5 star in a limited banner it has a 50% chance of being the character in the banner, and 50% chance of being one of the standard banner 5 star characters. If you get the standard one (aka losing the 50-50), the next time you get a 5 star on a limited banner is guaranteed to be the featured character.

why I don't "build pity" or pull unless I want the 5 star: I had really low pity when the Raiden banner rerun came (don't remember what it was or why, I just know it was under 20) and I accidentally did a single pull instead of a 10 pull and got the Raiden I wanted. So, yeah, building pity is a very bad idea.

I did a 10 pull and after 9 wishes, I got Yelan ????? And after 23 I got Diluc so now I'm guaranteed for Kazuha and I WANT MY BOY
All of this just to say that, do 10 pulls and your possibility to get a 5* definitely increases :D
I learned my lesson too late. I had 10 pity and thought, “What’s the worst that can happen? Maybe just one or two ten pulls and build pity for Kazuha...” And then proceeded to get two back-to-back 5 stars, neither of which I wanted.

That was not that bad tho. Even if you didn't pull that, you probably will not be that lucky at Kazuha banner. Since you are pulling at different time, different banner, and the result could be different as well.

I significantly agree with 2:42. Man i was specifically pulling for Kuki Shinobu but i ended up getting Itto and Chongyun in that ten pull, and then i did like 3 more pulls and got a QIQI, a mother hecking QIQI. Then i got Kuki Shinobu. Also not to mention that on the Ayaka banner i was at three pity and got her.
This happened to me actually lol. Did a few single pulls for Kuki whilst having guaranteed Kazuha but then got a 5* glow and got Itto. I did one more 10 pull for Kuki, got Keqing, skipped the rest of the pull then GOT ITTO AGAIN. Rest in peace my luck and hopes of getting Kazoo

When Raiden first came out, she was with Xianling, and I wanted her C6, so I pulled her untill I got her C6. In that adventure I got C1 Raiden and never builded her until her rerun where I got her C3 :) Just wish for whoever you want, and if you get the 5*star, you don't have to build her/him, do whatever you want that makes you happy and enjoy the game :)

Can confirm this. Took me 70 pulls for Kuki. I got her…and now have a C6 Gorou, a C4 Chongyun, and a C1 Qiqi.

This same scenario happened to me 3 times already. I pulled Zhongli and Keqing in one ten pull and in the next pull I got Zhongli again. (those were my first pulls from the start of the game back last year). Then got Keqing and Ayaka in the same 10. And then got Mona and Kokomi in the same 10.
What a nightmare 😂
Also got two Zhonglis and a Keqing in one ten pull xd Lost 50/50 on Venti's rerun after that... So I won't be building pity anymore, it is too dangerous for a f2p
Thank you for this very informative video. I didn’t take your advice, and I built pity anyway in order to get Gorou. Like you, I also reached pity, and like you, I lost to Qiqi, which I was also happy about. Unlike you, however, I didn’t immediately get Itto afterward (thank god) and I got my Gorou in the same 10 pull, like you did with Kuki.
So, overall, my conclusions have told me that building pity is a good idea for me specifically when I’m on 50/50, because my luck is so terrible that I’d never win a 50/50 or get an early 5 star.
Now I have a guaranteed Klee :)
For me who never gets early 5-star, it's much easier to manipulate. It's both a curse and a gift.
That being said, I NEVER pull on any banner that I do not want the 5-star of. At worst I just pull on banner that I don't mind having the 5-star.

This is the Chongyun banner. All I wanted was Kuki, but I got C4 Chongyun and some weapons instead.

The only reasonable way you can pull for a 4 star character it’s if you’re pulling for kaeya.. No exceptions

I know very clearly to not pull sometimes, but at the same time I always go with “heyyy the 5 star doesn’t hurt if I keep pulling” so that’s how I got a Xiao, keqing (lost to miko) and a c1 raiden all by accident
Like I *know* building pity doesn’t exist, (and I don’t pull to build pity, I fully acknowledge my addiction) but I like knowing a nice number for my pity is what drives me to pull.
(then after a personal incident with be gacha system) I now don’t give a shit to saving and just make sure to have enough for a character I *want* (so now I exclusively do single pulls because I can’t be bothered to save enough for 10 pulls)

Yes, four stars are much more difficult to get, especially since the five stars just have a chance of losing to only ONE other character, while for 4 stars, you have a chance of getting TWO other characters (or even more if you get non limited time banner characters)

I try and "build pity" when I'm at low pity on 50/50. And I never spend more than 30 wishes.
Meaning: I'm at 0 pity, just got Ayato, I really want Shinobu: I'll spent 30 wishes on Itto banner, a character I won't mind having at c1 if I get (un)lucky. After spending no more than 30 wishes, I quit "building pity"
Outcomes:
1) I didn't get any of the characters I wanted: Too bad. Save for a 5* I want.
2) I got Shinobu and no 5*: Mission accomplished.
3) I got a standard 5* : Well, at least I'm on guaranteed.
4) I got the banner 5* : Well, Lucky me! 30 wishes for a 5* ? Poggers! That never happened to me. Back at 0 pity as I was before.
The important here is: How much are you willing to pull before stopping. I think "building pity" is a nice thing if you really want 2 or more of the 4 stars and you DON'T mind "losing" your pity with the banner character.

I needed this video last week. I was trying to get Kuki. Shinobu. I had 0 pity so im like ill do 40 pulls to possibly get Kuki Shinobu. I was ok with pulling a 5 star if it was me losing the 50/50. Itto came in at 35 pity.... and i was pissed. so i continued I got kuki at 63. Also thats the first time I've seen anyone so happy to pull a Qiqi. I feel for you Dish
