I kinda hoped you would have brought both Jesper Kyd and Cris Velasco working on this project. Kyd has those calm ambient tracks nailed perfectly in Darksiders 2, while Velasco's style is more action oriented, which I like very much as well.
This theme plays when your roommate finds out you took the last cookie. Or when YOU find out your roommate at the last cookie. kidding aside, i'm loving this track! I see a few comments saying that it sounds too much like the God of War trilogy, but seeing as i don't have experience with any of those games, i don't share those sentiments! I think it's a pretty awesome track. I hope i'm not offending the composer by saying that it's going to be a Herculean task topping Jesper Kyd's works like the Guardian theme, Death Brings Hope, and the other spawn of Jesper Kyd for Darksiders 2. i wish him a lot of good luck, though, and i hope he'll have/he's having fun with the compositions :)

I really liked the track Jesper Kyd produced for Darksiders 2, but Cris Velasco is no push over either, the guy worked in many good games and is know for his epic battle themes, like: -God of War triology -Bloodborne -Jaws Unleashed -Terminator 3 Redemption -Resident Evil 7 -Injustice -Mass Effect 3 -Mortal Kombat 9 -Darksiders -Prototype
I prefer this over Jesper Kyd for Darksiders. Blood Money was phenomenal and Death vs. War song from D2 was wicked but nothing felt more badass than War's theme or as devilishly sweet as Vulgrim's theme or Eden and D1's end crefits was hands down the most satisfying music I've ever heard in a video game. Cris has my undivided attention for Darksiders 3.
Look, no shit Jesper Kyd is a very talented composer but to say that this game's soundtrack is anything close to bad by any stretch of the imagination is to do it a heavy disservice

Generic AF triple AAA game music that has been heard a million times...Just like GoW's. Yeah, I know same composer but lets be real here who actually listens to GoW music outside of the games? If you do its probably just to have nostalgic feelings and not the actual composition. If we get a 4th game hopefully Kyd or someone just as good does the music. Still excited about Darksiders 3 though.
I actually like GOW's composition. The grand orchestra and choirs really sold that series for me. I'll be honest, I like the scores more than the games. That said, I do love Jesper Kyd, especially his work on the AC series. Though I will agree that this piece isn't as good as either of the composers better works.
