- If you're like me this was the biggest nightmare on the planet. I only wanted the most basic programming possible and couldn't find instructions anywhere. All I wanted was the 10 buttons to send MIDI CC messages and the expression pedals to work. No banks, no Program changes, etc..

1:03 if anyone was stuck on how to "Get rid of 1" like I was, just hold it down and it'll go off, to get 10 hold it down until the LED comes on and it'll work as well :)

This saved my Bacon! Needed it for running the iPad click track for Sunday mornings, and all my settings got washed Thursday night somehow. There were no pedals available to ship in before Sunday! But this fixed my problem, Thank you!

Thanks for your explanation, now I'm a lot further along using the FCB with VCV Rack, a software modular synthesis environment. I had a problem with Exp Pedal B, it didn't seem to be working no matter what I tried. Finally I put the unit through the pedals calibration procedure described in the User's Manual. That fixed the problem, now pedal A transmits CC7 values and pedal B transmits CC1 values, programmed as per your instructions.

This is the kind of instructions that companies should include in the manual: a specific, quick guide to the simple things most people want to do first. Don't make us learn the entire system before we can do the simplest thing. Give a separate section on the basics, THEN go on and tell us how to do the fancy stuff.

These things came out years ago and weren’t very well designed for Midi integration. They’re built like a tank and function well, but they are very limited and programming them is a nightmare. These probably work best with old rack units from the 90’s.

Help me please, whenever I'm in the preset select all 10 banks are lighting, when I hold down any one all 10 banks come off and I can't get them to work separately. I really need help.

Hey can you tell me the steps to get to your initial setting? When I turn on, I only have reading of '4', not '04', and the expression pedal lights are off - thank you!
Best information I have found so far, but I am still missing how to get Guitar Rig to recognize/assign the expression pedals or channels I would like the FCB to switch through. But this did help a bit.

I don´t want to have programchange. Only snippets on our X32 mixer and this is midi channel 2 on the mixer. Can you make a simple film about this configuration. Snippets on the mixer is 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 and so on

how do you get the expression pedals to be recognised by my nova system. ? i move the pedal up and down and the dot shows on the nova display but no value of delay changes? the nova is set to cc 16

Okay. This now kind of works with my Fl Studio. Just trying to turn on and off some stomp boxes in it but it's still super strange with these steps even, gotta press the pedal multiple times and it doesn't always work. Thanks for the starting help though. This is the worst piece of gear I have ever bought in terms of ease of use, but seems powerful if I could just get it to work properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you explain how to program the midi channel and then the cc numbers 118 and 119?
Is this for stock firmware, or uno chip eurekaprom? It should say such in description.
This still helps a lot but actually like this the FCB Is sending not CC but Notes :)
I have a question. I want to be able to create presets on a midi controller that can send multiple messages with one button/preset. Say I make preset 1 on bank 1 send a message in channel 1 to make my preamp go to #1 but it also sends another message in a different channel which tells that rack unit to #2. I was wondering if that’s possible with this midi controller?

I need help. I'm using FCB1010 with Amplitude 4 in a standalone fashion and thanks to syx files I get from online, it works perfectly. However when I open AT4 as a plug-in on Logic Pro X, it does not see FCB1010 and when I press buttons on FCB, nothing happens. (Btw I am new to Apple and Logic Pro) is there any way or settings on Logic to solve that issue, or do I need to do something else? Any help is much appreciated.
Update: I've changed my FCB1010's midi channel as "2" by using on-board controllers (footswitches, no editor used) still, no joy 🙁

Any idea how to program the FCB1010 to be able to use the expression pedals with the Behringer FX2000 effects controller. There is NOTHING written about using these two same mfg products together! Pulling what little hair I have left out of my head...
Hi! I have a question about fcb 1010. I read instruction, but I can't find a tip how to save a preset (from my synth) on my foot controller. Can you tell me what is the easiest way to save a sound on fcb bank? I just need to quickly choose the sounds that i am interested on.
Okay, so now it has the preset I want, but how do I make it USE the preset? How do I leave bank editing mode and go to use the stupid controller mode?!?!?!

Thanks, I agree, it is a nightmare. The foot pedal also seems to have multiple note commands so every time I hit the pedal I get a different midi message, how do you fix that?

I'm trying to do exactly what you're doing, but failing. You start out with "04" on your screen. How did you get that? When I punch in "04" then hit any of the switches (e.g.: 8), the number just changes to 8 and is waiting for me to enter some other number. Could you please provide a list of steps starting from "Turn on the power switch"? Just a simple list of Step 1 - do this, Step 2 - do that..."? I just need the bloody expression pedals to work and I'm about to smash this thing to pieces. Thanks for any more detailed info you can provide. Save us all!!! ;-)

What why how!? Lol 1,8,9,10 what are the reasons for these numbers? Why do you have to punch in an arbitrary number like 22 on number 2 why is every German product so bastard complicated!?

22-31? are some of the standard blank midi channels that are left unassigned for custom operations exactly this. Using 22 or below will affect other operations
Thanks man although I'm using Amplitube...and while it can turn the pedals on, a subsequent press of the button assigned doesn't turn it off. LOL! So it can only turn it on...guess I have some more research to do. Why is this so difficult!?

Fyi, this pos has probably the most complicated and unintuitive controls I ever laid eyes on. And I built AND programmed everything from a PC to a 3d Printer. @@MrSocko-bh1jb Lmao epic response. I just got one of these as a cheaper alternative to my Xsonic Airstep. It's not as simple as the Airstep, but not rocket science. The switches you mention basically tell it to send PC, CC, or Note data. Note data is the simplest to deal with so that's basically what he's setting it up to send. The other two lights tell the expression pedals what to do. What made this thing make sense to me is learning that each pedal is actually a "preset" for an old school midi rig. So instead of each switch sending a single signal (kinda like the Airstep) it send a whole range of messages at once. Or can turn most of those messages off, as the vid basically shows you how to do.

I found a cheaper, better and more user friendly alternative a long time ago.
My point still stands: Unintuitive and needlessly complicated! They could have just paired that pedal with a nice software for example. Like any piece of whatever device you wanna name has these days.
