You can hear the anticipation of alternative punk resurgence about to explode. I love how they even charge up Denis Miller, probably the decade's most incredible tool.
Feb 5, 1992, 30 years ago today, I took my new girlfriend on our first date to see the PIXIES at The Ritz in NYC. We are coming up on our 28th anniversary. I wish there were video recordings of that show, but the audio recording that do exist aren't that good anyway. We enjoyed it standing right in front of Joey.
I never heard of the pixies cause radio wont play music that they think wont sell but I got a cassette from columbia records for apenny and thought why is it like this one of the greatess bands ever and I only discovered them cause thier name sounded cool and it was only a penny!Sad!
this is when kim wasnt loving it. she's standing back by the drum kit just playing with David. Going through the motions. The bass line is so awesome on this song though.
@Antiks72 underrated only by people who have never been exposed to quality music. we live in a world where top 40 and pop culture rule. thank god for unpopular music!
Wow. Because he got older and took a different job? You will do the same, if you ever had the chance. Dennis is no poser. He has just matured. I like how if someone starts making money, so-called "punkers" say they sold out. It IS ok to work for a living. Maybe try it.
This was before Denis sold his soul to FOXNEWS. Wonder what he listens to now, Toby Keith? He probably still sings along to Tears For Fears in his car when no one's looking.
I liked Dennis Miller, wish his show had lasted longer. At least he let people like them play and have a voice. When they played on Letterman in 92, they were forced to play WITH Paul Schaeffer's band. That robbed them of their trademark sound. Dillhole guitarist for Paul even did one of the solos. LAME.
Check out BLACK FRANCIS videos from his current 2007 tour promoting his new album BLUEFINGER to be released on September 11th, on my page. Yeah, I sware ya!
@slitheringinterstate no if you dont believe in pro choice, gay marriage, legalizing that makes you a conservative. Im fairly liberal and dont believe every muslim is out to destroy the U.S, but i don't "bow" to islam.
Hah! I actually saw this when it aired. It was the first time I ever saw them play "live."
I was there in back dancing with my friend Kenny Vasquez.
SuperFun!
