It was the greatest concert I’ve ever seen 3 songs in. By the time he got to set 2 me and my friends couldn’t stop saying “wtf is happening” “how is he doing this?? This isn’t possible…” GO SEE HIM IF YOU LOVE MUSIC HE WILL TRANSCEND THE HEAVENS UPON YOU 😅

There's billy, in this basement with a bunch of random local "no-names", and all of these cats are WORLD FUCKING CLASS musicians. Its literally insane. The banjo. The guy playing the slide on his lap, I have no idea how he was spitting such fast licks with a technique like that. The mandolin player. I mean, all of them. Just world class chops that take years and years, as well as a certain amount of innate ability, to cultivate. Impressed is an understatement. Such unassuming brilliance.

Billy strings I've said this in comments so keep in mind but don't let it go to your head. You are cut the the heavens high cloth , those who surround you in jams and those of us who just flat out dig your playing. Keep every thing in eye sight don't take the bumps to personal and above all keep your self as you were when GOD above set you loose on the world. This business is equal to a like in feuds and just like that , well it can spin you out. You won't let it get to you that way if your balance is equal to your effort playing. Itelling you my brother you've been blessed and shine unlike most every player . Keep in check so we all will be able to live your music free of bullshit. Thanks for the level of effort you have put forth but it's only getting started.

New fan here, and I am not even really a bluegrass fan! Well Ricky Scaggs back in the day, but that’s about it. I love everything about this guy, including the fact that he took himself out of a bad place and is doing so well now!

Man, I would fucking love to be in that basement surrounded by talent and awesomeness. My old neighbor played banjo, an upright bass (which I may learn one day... I've been saying for 15 years)... he also played the washboard and a few other things. My dream was to play dueling banjos from our balconies one day. Although I don't play. ;-)

Canadian here haven't known much about this guy until I did the Wiki. Wow. He's my age but may as well be 60. No time for being fearful or doubtful after being what he's been through. An upbringing that could truly sculpt an artist. It's a miracle we have this guy!
