I just finished watching this on Hulu. I absolutely loved it. Script was amazing, perfect casting and a very realistic storyline. I loved the nonverbal scenes, especially the pauses. Oh, the music selection was great. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I cried because I relate. Brown girls share struggle experience feelings we have to love eachother better and recognize that. Also it reminded me of just another girl on the irt which is one of my favs
Man this movie was so beautiful. Gave me a 90s feel. Definitely took me back to my days of living in NYC. Chilling with my girls watching the guys play basketball. Having a summer romance losing my virginity. This movie made me cry but it was a good cry.
I really hope this is the beginning of a long, fruitful collaboration, especially between Zora and Rashaad. I love their view of cinema and the kind of black stories they're interested in. We need more of those and I loved this movie.
I loved this movie so much! Raw, realistic tale of a young romantic love story. I fell in love with the song in the last scene, by Jennah Bell - John forbid
Gorgeous! Why does she remind me of the young Jada Pinkett? Even her voice! 😍❤ But yeah, she is gorgeous and I can't wait to watch the movie! Hopefully it will be somehow available in Germany/Europe 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This was an excellent movie. I'm hoping I see some more from you ALL soon. Thank you for the showing of young love. I was a young person in luv with the same circumstances. You couldn't have shown it any better. Those luv scenes were awesome 👌 I luved them. Joshua Boone you played the he'll out of them. As well as your scene on Jazzman Blues 👀 I luv you ALL and don't stop with this keep it moving. God bless you all on your journey. You diffently have a follower here.
This movie was awesome! I’ve already watched it twice. Black Love at its best baby. It’s just a shame that regardless of how old a couple is a lot of people still can’t sustain love after the “honeymoon period” is over. I’m still trying to find the one song that Dymond (M Herrod) sung. The first one, not the one at the end. And I’m entirely too old to be using this word but I don’t care, Joshua Boone is sooo dreamy! Lol
Absolutely loved this movie. I would love to see more from these two creators. Very beautiful pen to paper. PS she absolutely looks like Jada Pinkett here.
I definitely struggled with this narrative but then I constantly think about me at 17 and how mature I felt, therefore being into older guys. I guess as an adult its conflicting because I would never pursue anyone under the age of 18, shoot not even under 25. Great movie, tough pull.

I just watched this movie. I agree with everything you said. Ahem.....and the love scenes were good too.

My favorite scene is the mother's face when she asked about pickles.

This film is amazing. The Love Jones of this generation.
Yes, it was very reminiscent of Love Jones during the scene in the studio about artists and their responsibility.

I got Love Jones mixed with Poetic Justice

Now I have seen this excellent film with my pupils in Sweden, Stockholm (aged 17-19) It does resonate outside Harlem! Best, Anniki

How old is Zora Jones. She definitely looks 17 in the film but in this interview she looks like an adult
I think she’s a lil than 17 . She does have a youthful face but I can see her Maturity. I say early 20’sc
Great movie!
Absolutely loved this movie. I would love to see more from these two creators. Very beautiful pen to paper.

I REALLY loved this movie!! I love black luv movies.
I loved this movie! How old is she?
This is what the photograph tried to be
😬 glad someone said it other than me.
Movie was dope. And i dont even like movies. It was realistic wich is what i appreciate the most. I hate unrealistic bs.
She reminds me of Jada Pinkett Smith so much
Certain things in the movie was a bit confusing 😕 and I think the ending could have been better
What was a the song? I can't find it anywhere 😭
John forbid
The abortion.....so sad. So sad
Why spoil it ?
Honestly
this movie showed more about black pain and trauma contrary to what he wanted to potray, tf
Facts 😂🤣. It was good though.
Can we talk about how inappropriate it was to display a sexual relationship between a 17-year-old girl and a grown man?
Exactly how old was dude

@@IMPERFECT32 ur just old asf now
@@blackman3686 definitely not old asf. Just mature and don't see 17 year olds romantically.
It was realistic af though.

Great Movie!!
