This song got me thru the loss of my newborn son, the father of that son dumping me. The death of my best friend who was killed in a snowmobile accident 8 months before my son was born. I went thru it all alone. My ex husband who used to beat me & taking me to court weekly to try to control me after it took me 10 years to find an attorney to take my divorce case, since his dad was powerful in our small Michigan town. I dared to leave his drunk, abusive son! I work as an RRT & my job is beyond stressful. I was diagnosed with SLE given 2 to 5 years to live. All in one year. 1998 to 1999 was a horrific time for me. I’ve always loved this song yet I’ve never heard it as a live performance. After all these years his voice still sounds amazing
For some reason it sounds EXACTLY like the original recording...
@@joachimb5721He’s not lip syncing, his voice definitely sounds different. It’s not live either though. You can tell by the camera angles that it’s multiple takes
@@joachimb5721 No, his voice doesnt sound like the album recording. It had been over 20 years.
The whole damn album was fire 🔥amazing band
In terms of meaning, this song is a 90s culture time capsule with a wonderfully optimistic message. In terms of sound, it's pretty damn timeless and never fails to bring good vibes.
Still has a great voice. Thanks Gregg!
After all these years, they're still getting the job done. What a singer! That performance was badass :D
Amazingly fabulous 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
This song... from when it came out to now, has helped me during so many dark times. It always brings me up. ❤
We all need more Gregg Alexander music in our lives. Peace!

Goosebumps! Great to see them play again!
That bucket hat! Love New Radicals. Been keeping that cassette tape until now. One of my fave albums ever!
You guys had captured something big. It was so good. Still resonates today!
Love this jam, the lyrics rock, and the way he goes from falsetto to a lower register, flawless!
😆👍🏼👍🏼🧠🇺🇸🌹
Always loved that about his singing and wow he still has it!
Omg his voice sounds even better than 20 years ago
Its got a bit more rasp which is a really nice contrast when he goes high. I like his version more than the original. Its a blast from the past in the best way possible
I love the message! It reminds me of my teenage years...
Middle school
Congratulations! You got what you gave. You got the music in you. Great job!
Fantastic! It's exciting to be able to listen him live so many years late!!!
He still has this amazing voice and vibrato
One of the best songs of the past 40...50.....60....70....years. just brilliant.

Highly underrated band! This song will be heard a century from now 😌
One of my favourite songs ever, when life was simple still sounds brilliant
Thank you New Radicals, this song made this one kid in a third world country (Thailand) day, back in the day I listen to this song on repeat without knowing what the singer say even a single word but it helped me get through sad days in the past, thank you, I love this song.
big thanks for this music ' truly beautiful
He sounds so good even after all these years! Never lost his touch! I love it 😍😍😍😍
Recorded earlier maybe?
I Feel the MUSIC!! nostalgic! Jumping and pumped up!
If you're going to sing your dam songs over 20 years after they were made, THIS IS WHAT THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO SOUND LIKE!!! Awesome, awesome job by the New Radicals. Mr. Alexander, ya didn't miss a note.
Everything about this song, the words, sentiment, and its uplifting key choices just makes me smile. But more so because of the freshness of the sound 20 plus years later. The lead singer's voice sounds in such great condition and he completely honoured the original 👏👏👏
I love this song, It's my earworm, Gregg. I have it on several of my playlists and play it every day.
Rare beautiful songs are valued over the years, thank you very much for this song 🙏🏻
This is just WONDERFUL his voice is EXACTLY the same as I remember.. Thank you for letting me be young again ,,😴😴
Damn this sounds even better than the studio version.😢 This was my highschool.
Very cool. Timeless. A great platform for justice of the human race.
