Anyway, impressive driving from both AI and simracers
I remember having my mind blown as a middle schooler back in 2001 seeing Gran Turismo 3 for the first time. If you had showed me this video of an AI racing in GT7, my head might've exploded.
GT3 was so amazing when it finally released
I remember playing the original Gran Turismo when it was newer, seeing the race replays amazed, thinking a racing game really couldn't get any better looking than this. lol

@@yookalaylee2289 It's a computer. You can code it to drive perfectly 100% of the time and no one would ever be able to beat it. Maybe only with the strategy to cut their line all the time so it bumps into you, like they are doing here. In this case they coded to take crazy slides into the corners, but Fraga said it well - what about the tyres then? Nothing special here, just cranked the AI up to inhuman capabilities. Again, it's a piece of code.
Looks like Sophy is becoming more sportsman like rather then completely ignoring the other cars
lol those dispatch by Sophie Violette in the first race are pretty savage and props to Yamanaka for being Gallo rear gunner in the second race given the Human a chance to come back.

Here is my recommendation to PD if I may: put more of your Sophy energy on a reliable penalty system. Thanls.
Or add the ability to sell cars.
Add an auction house.
Remove parts and cars from the RNG wheel.
Add more tracks.
Add a fun race campaign similar to previous titles cos menu books are boring.
Add more missions.
Add more drift content. (Maybe something similar to rivals from Forza and implement them into drift trials) (Rivals are basically where you get money for beating other people's leaderboard times)
Add rivals to time trials aswell.
If they done all that I would really love GT7

Sophy came a long way since the first races it’s much better number to bumper action now
Pretty sure Sophie pushed the track limits a few times there. If that was a daily race we would have got a penalty 😅

At first I was all for it but now I am kind of skeptical. Of course, I want good AI but I also want more human like AI that can make mistakes like real life drivers. Similar to the F1 games.
I love this game but the rallying could be so much better, take a leaf from the legendary Colin McCrae 2.0 that still remains the undisputed, how the cars felt, Finland at night, or UK countryside, what a game it was for its time....

The reason they think the AI is too quick is for one simple reason; the AI has discovered how to perfectly slip into turns, this is why they're getting the cars sideways. With how much grip the cars have in those tyres, slipping out with a higher speed lets you really attack the turn with unmatched speed. It's at a level that humans can replicate tho, while it seems like a super scary concept, Holl01 has proven with his WR times that is is possible and faster to drive this way as well.
I cannot wait to see how motorsport starts to shift with these revelations

It looks like Sophy it's between 0.5% to 1% faster than the fastest drivers over a single lap, I want to be 1% to 1.5% slower than Sophy over a lap before GT8 comes out.

I believe Sophy will likely run off the server and not the console itself. Atleast then it would actually make sense to have the always online requirement.

It's all pointless if AIs rules are different than your own. Such as: not even budging when bumped, whereas you get touched and you meet Barry R.; obviously not adhering to pp limits; seems to drive just fine in rain on slicks...I could go on
Nah I believe the AI in this race has the exact same mechanics as the human racers.
Normally they do increase grip and use various techniques in order to rubber band the AI but hopefully when they implement Sophy this will be a thing of the past as it won't be needed anymore.
The AI is GT at the moment is hot garbage. You can full on smash into them and they barely budge. Or when you take a decent lead you can watch them fly throu corners and not slide at all. It makes racing feel so bland and boring. Honestly could not be more disappointed with a racing game. I could be here for hours writing the amount of things I dislike with the game but I'm sure everyone already knows.
