I’m on day 4 didn’t get COVID the entire pandemic even working in a hospital. Although may have couple months it was a thing. This is by far the worst. I didn’t think I’d get it this soon after I received my Pfizer booster. I received it almost two months ago. I have a fever that goes away and comes back. 102-99 back and forth. Lost my smell and taste on day two and is still gone. Severe migraines come and go. Body aches. Nasal congestion/irritation. Runny nose and sneezing. Brain fog. Hoping insomnia goes away because that’s hurting me the most. I’m constantly drinking water because I feel dehydrated all the time. I do breathing exercises. And eating healthy whole food meals with lots of fruit snacks. Teas. Taking Tylenol and vitamins. I’m isolated in one room too and trying to rest. The Tylenol and vitamins help for a few hours than the symptoms come back periodically once the Tylenol and vitamins wear off. Hoping this isn’t long COVID and it goes away soon. Praying for all your health!!
I'm on day 4 of covid as well! Day 3 my throat hurt SO much when doing any kind of swallowing, also started having a bad smell whenever I smelt anything. Thankfully I can smell things but now everything has an added smell of rotting onions. Day 4 today and things have improved a lot, no longer do I have a headache and my fever seems to have broken. I still have body aches and a general fatigue but I don't feel terrible like I did the days before. Hope we'll both get over this soon!
*Update* it’s been 2weeks since firsts s/s Symptoms gradually are getting better from day 6 and on… Still experiencing fatigue, mental fog(episodes) and slight nasal congestion. Dry coughs came after day 6 but it isn’t severe and is slowly going away. Hoping the fatigue goes alway soon. Tylenol, vitamins staying hydrated and eating Whole Foods are helping.
Is the new covid varient symptoms as the same as the other covid varients? was I missdirected or rather redirected on searching about the new covid varient's symptoms?
I've had more of a runny nose and sore throat than the first two times I had Covid (in 2020 and early 2022). Especially in 2020, my symptoms were all lower respiratory in my lungs. Had pneumonia for 4 months. This felt more like a flu, as in lots of snot, body aches, fatigue. The first time hardly had any snot and had a dry cough.
I’ve had covid 3x and I was in the hospital the 1st time. I’ve had 3 kidney transplants last one was Nov 2019. The 2nd and 3rd time with covid was not bad, treated myself at home with herbal medicines and over the counter meds. I have not been vaccinated and I will not get it.
After making it sick-free for 15 years…got Covid in April 2022. I now have it again. Sinus/headache are the only symptoms. I’m staying more on top of my natural immunity boosters. I just ordered colloidal Silver & echinacea. Still never getting a vaccine.
I have had crazy weird dreams and after the first night I was sick I’ve had weird dreams every time I go to sleep!! Waking up in a pile of sweat and my throat feeling like it was on FIRE!!

The dreams from it are crazy and the “beside yourself brain-fog” feeling, first couple of days of fatigue; after that it’s just the sore throat that bothers you the most. That’s EXACTLY how it was for BOTH my wife & I, atleast.
Same! I have it right now. I’m fuzzy headed, body aches, headache, mild fever and bad body temp regulation. One minute I’m sweating and the next I’m shivering and my teeth are chattering. I’m on day three and it seems to be getting a little better. Crazy dreams though

Currently on Day 5 of symptoms: Day 1: Ran a few miles come back and 30-60 min Later Unbelievably painful SORE THROAT. Felt like something pressed against my throat for 24 hours. Day 2: Sore Throat got milder still bad but not as bad Day 1. So far no other symptoms yet. Day 3: It Starts. FEVER 101-F, ACHES, SORE THROAT (same as Day 2), HEADACHE around right eye, Couldn't Sleep for more than 2 hours at a time took Tylenol for pain Help a ton. Day 4: Sore Throat persists milder though than Day 2 and 3, new though STUFFY AND FAUCET RUNNY NOSE, Day 5: Sore throat still here but even milder, Runny Nose kind of stopped, nostril gets dry sometimes, Still stuffy though, New LOST OF TASTE AND SMELL, can barely smell stuff need a ton of material in vapor in order to smell. Cannot Taste flavors but can Taste Salty and Sweet stuff but can't tell what it is I'm tasting. HEARING is kind of lessened. Not sure if anyone else has had that happen but it's feels like I'm hearing only 95% as well as before. ----Background info---- 2 Vax Moderna + 1 Booster 6 months prior. ----------------------------------- Will probably update this if I don't have long Covid which I hope I don't. Been seeing a lot of people say that sensory loss is common with this variant. Hopefully all this goes away. I pray that anyone who gets it doesn't get these symptoms. 51, nothing but runny nose and sneezing day 1. Day 2 sore throat and eyes, fever, no runny nose. Day 3 runny nose again, sneezing, no sore throat or fever. Day 4, really sore throat, sneezing and sometimes runny nose, no fever. Frigging weird bug this is. It is like a hybrid of flu and cold.
I have had chronic earaches after my vaccine but I just thought it was a coincidence, but if it’s between earaches and losing my sense of taste … idk. Fun choices ammiright
Today is the first day of testing positive. Hadn't gotten it throughout this whole time. Similar to you, went for a run yesterday morning and started feeling a bit of a soar throat, not very bad and started feeling head ache and some body aches. Overnight, couldn't really sleep more than 2 or 3 hours at a time, developed some chills, temp is still normal but it's still just day one for me. Hoping it stays pretty mild
I believe mine was the Ba.5. I caught it around July 21. Mine was practically a mild cold, although my fever was quite high at 102 deg. very warm and flush and a headache. Mild tiredness and body aches on the second day, which is what I experience in the early days of a cold anyways. Rest of the time was a moderate cough, runny/stuffy nose and some pressure in my ears. Worst symptom I had was lost of taste and smell, which came back a few days later, but took 2 wks to gain it back in full 😂😂😂 I know it looks like a lot here, but I didn’t feel very bad.

How did you handle the contact tracing? I'm heartsick to have to tell relatives that are out of state for a funeral. One is 90. I have to get going as soon as it's a reasonable. I took the test about 2am. I thought it was the weather changing and sinus drainage.
I'm a 37 year old guy who is admittedly unhealthy. I don't have any diagnosed conditions, but I've not treated myself well over the past few years and have had poor diet, don't exercise and show signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. I got a vaccination shot back in November of last year, but no followup. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I was masking and/or not going around people but I let my guard down over the past few months. Well, I finally got covid - it hit me like a sack of bricks at 4 PM this past Friday. Sickest I ever felt in my life, but I don't think any lasting damage. Extreme headaches, tiredness, weakness and pain throughout my body (and it felt hot to the touch). I literally slept a whole 2 days, only getting up to use the bathroom. And the sleep wasn't great because the headaches and hot feeling kept waking me up, but I couldn't get myself to move out of the bed. I didn't notice any respiratory, nausea or digestive issues. But I also didn't eat anything because I was so drained that all I could get myself to do was go back to bed.
First time getting COVID as a 14-year-old WITH allergies to along with it. Let me tell you, my nose is like a faucet. I can only breathe out of my mouth and the back of my throat is incredibly itchy. Hay fever and COVID do not mix. ☹️
Yesterday my son had a positive covid test. Surprisingly I tested negative although he lives with us. Last week the doctor treated him for an ear infection. Is an ear infection an early symptom of covid?
Day 1: Woke up with a scratchy throat and a runny nose, thought it was just allergies. Some sneezing. Day 2: Woke up with burning sinus and headache with pain in temples of the forehead. Felt fatigue and had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. Had a fever and constant chills, felt too cold but would sweat in my bed trying to sleep. Day 3: Woke up feeling much better. A bit of runny nose and scratchy throat. No cough and fever and headache and chills seems to be gone. Feel like in a couple days I'll feel 100%. The last vaccine I had was in 2020.
@@AmitKumar-ce1ct fever will probably come and go and body temp fluctuate at night. I just took Ibuprofen if I had a headache or felt any pain but other than that just stay hydrated and try to eat as healthy as I could and rest.
I think I have this even though I’ve taken two tests and both came back negative. This one hit me WAY harder than when I got Covid earlier this year, and even after boosters. I woke up and felt sick, cough congestion and diarrhea after day two, although it might be because of the medication for the symptoms. I’ve been super tired for the past four days and no appetite I can’t smell or tast for 3 days, today we got summer rain in socal and I was fortunate to smell the wet earth and rain.
I just tested positive yesterday after having really odd symptoms last week. I tested daily from Saturday and was negative until that very quick positive yesterday. I have 4 vaccinations and my most recent was 3 months ago

I had it two or three weeks ago first time I’ve ever had it. Vaccinated about a year ago, no booster shots. I think I caught it from work, working as a cashier in a local grocery store. The first day I had a headache, it started small than progressed, i was slightly cold, nothing helped my headache go away. Then by the end of that day my throat was extremely dry. No matter what I drank or how much. Extremely cold that night, couldn’t sleep. Next day chills 10x worse, strained eyes. It hurt to look side to side. Fever of 100-101 with one you put in your mouth. 102 with the one you put to your forehead. As time went on I had a runny nose. Cough with mucus! Consistently swallowing mucus! Some ear problems nothing major. Mainly things with sinuses. Really thought I was a cold or sinus infection.

I tested positive yesterday this is the worse sickness I have ever had in my life I literally can’t even walk properly my throat is so sore and every time I cough my head feels like it’s going to explode. I went to the doctors and they just sent me home with medication but I’m really thinking of going into the hospital because I don’t feel normal and it is starting to freak me out. I don’t wish this on anyone!! As I’m writing this my legs are aching and I’m sweating non stop😢 I think I am going to ring the hospital right now!!

I worked in the most infected areas throughout my state in Walmart stores, which was the place people met up because it was an essential place to be open. I never got it. I got the vaccine, I was fine. Got the 2nd shot and I got covid. My symptoms were like having a cold, but no taste or smell, and exhausted feeling, not tired, exhausted. My huband didn't get the shot and ended up in an er and air flighted to another hospital that has been dealing with his cancer treatment, with a 50/50 chance of making it. He did. He got his vaccines and we both got our boosters. We have had covid 2 times after that. I just got tested again because we are fighting the worst flu symptoms we have ever had as well as loss of taste and smell. Pretty sure it's covid again. I have very mixed feelings over the vaccines. I wish I had never subjected myself to them. Now I am pumping my immune system with vitamins and praying my body gets over this soon.

Day 4 fever gone tired a little dizzy here and there. Wife has it headache the worse. Fever never really got above 102 took NyQuil which made me more tired. It took decades to discover that the shingles virus is connected to the chicken pox virus. Those who are vaccinated for chicken pox before being infected are much less likely to have long term health effects. Covid has been around only 2 years and we already know a number of long term health effects such as severe decline in IQ (10 points) and susceptibility to strong negative reactions to other viruses. Not to mention loss of taste or smell. Vaccines are new as well, newer than the virus by far. Every time we have a vaccine, the virus mutates in sick people and adapts-- thus continuing to use us as it's host. For babies, the long term health effects of the virus, not the vaccine, could haunt them for the rest of their lives. We won't know until decades from now. What we do know is that imfections have stayed dormant for other viruses.

Caught it last summer it wasn’t bad. I was tired for 3 days and sneezed a lot. I caught it again and it’s day number 4. This is the worst. The confusion/burning throat that hurts when I swallow.
@@Iheartlofi000 I’m triple vaccinated and had covid back in February. I had no other symptoms but the sore throat. But the one in February was worse, and I was vaccinated back then too. The vaccine doesn’t eliminate the symptoms.

Have this now as well as my 13 month old and 5 year old girls. We Got it from husband who's fully vaccinated. I'm not vaccinated nor are the kids and I'm 27 weeks pregnant. He got it way worse than us even though he's much healthier and he's obviously not pregnant or overweight like me. The worst for me is the headaches and the first day body pain but tylenol works fine. Me and the girls are on day 3 and husband on day seven. Us girls are pretty much back to normal except nose irritation and tired for me. Insomnia as well the first night. The girls only symptoms have been fevers that have gone down immediately with tylenol and motrin every other dose. I've had cold and flus way worse than this honestly. The biggest thing for me is these headaches bc they are so different than what I'm used to getting which is what's throwing me for a loop. No fever or anything of that sort for me just the kids. Worth reiterating we got this from my husband who's the only one vaccinated and we have faired far better than him. What a joke.

I tested positive for COVID this morning after finding out my mom, dad & aunt all tested positive. This is the first time I’ve had it. I noticed how awfully tired I became a couple days ago, then the sore throat & cough came on. Today is probably my 2nd or 3rd day of symptoms. I have a mild fever, sore throat, body aches and the fatigue is CRAZY. I can’t even move from my bed. Hoping I only have a couple more days of this. Ugh 😢

I'm on day 2. 101.7 fever, headache, body aches(lower back, hand, and feet knuckles, and pain around my fingernails.) Massive head-jarring cough that makes it feel like my eyeballs are going to pop out of my head.
What are measures to take to deter infection? Vaccination deters serious illness but i want to avoid being infected altogether. We should have a means to detect covid in air before breathing it. We should have a means of neutralizing virus particles being transported by aerosols or water droplets. UV, disinfectants and air filtration are options.
That would be too expensive. Just assume every place you go with lots of people like the grocery store has someone infected there. Utilize services like online pickup and grocery delivery as much as possible. But know those workers are currently swamped and dealing with coworkers who called out. I work in a grocery store, and am re-infected myself. I wish whoever infected me had stayed home! Edit: My store has UV lights and we disinfect surfaces. Overhauling the 20+ year old ventilation system would be too expensive to them. They don't care about the customers or the workers, as long as they make their sales.
My daughter is 10 she contracted her 1st covid in march and the 2nd is last month. Both infection have the same symptoms. Soar throat, stuff nose, bad headache and high fever like 40°c she even vomited she was so dizzy and body pain. Now is autumn and temperature is lower she is prone to seasonal flu.
COVID positive as of Monday Started having symptoms on Sunday evening 10/09/22: possible fever (My thermometer was not correct), horrible cough, irritated throat and runny/congested nose Monday: symptoms the same, positive test back Tuesday: all the same symptoms, I go to the doctor for COVID meds, she confirms my fever that I've had probably for a couple days, one weird thing I notice was my gateraid had a HORRIBLE aftertaste, hadn't eaten a whole lot that day, but everything else tasted fine Today Wednesday: 10/12/22 no cough yet, runny nose and congestion, really sore throat, gateraid now taste normal, fever is gone hopefully my body temperature stay normal Wish me luck through this!
My family and I have it now, and are about over it after 4 days. The Dr advice for the OTC meds is what we did on our own and made it through with rest and hydration. My son and I are early vaxed and my wife is double vaxed. All 3 have had same symptoms and same recovery time.

My whole household is not vaxxed, we all got the BA.5… both my kiddos (2 and 1 year old ) got over it in 24 hrs. My husband and I were out for a solid 4-5 days and now feeling a lot better! Our bodies know what to do if you give them the tools to fight it.

Same thing as me! I tested positive on 01-11-22 Wednesday but felt headache and chills the night before. So far I have been having night sweats. The headache and fever was unbearable the first couple days. Some nausea but nyqil, dayquil, and ibuprofen is helping. Now my chest and throat hurt. An occasional painful cough like pressing on my throat. It's only been 3 days as today is Friday but this has to be sickest I've ever been!
4th day of having Covid the pain my body has been going threw is wild feels like your body is paralyzed, coughing up blood , sore throat. My whole house got it was well when we never have got infected before
I've avoided Covid since it came out. Never had it. Four days ago, went to sleep with a slight, noticeable cough. Nothing serious. Woke up a few hours later with the worst sore throat I've ever had. Ever. Couldn't sleep the rest of the night. Day two: Fever set in. Skull-splitting headache midday. Tylenol worked temporarily throughout the day, but once it wore off, symptoms came roaring back. Switched to Advil and had much better results. Day 3 and 4 pretty much the same. Horrible symptoms, but would come and go. Tested negative for Covid multiple times. Maybe this is a new new variant, and old tests are missing it? The fatigue is real. Four days of no energy. All of my tests have been negative. I've had colds before. And even the flu. These last four days were neither of those
@@tomtroy3792 I did not, but two subsequent covid tests have now confirmed it's covid. As I've known a few people now with the same story, different versions, I wonder if the tests currently on the market aren't detecting it until your viral load is higher than what it takes to make you have symptoms? Not even sure I'd call them 'false negatives'. Maybe the tests aren't sensitive enough?
Going through it now, vaxxed and boosted. It started with brain fog, fatigue and the sore throat is the absolute worst part. My husband and 2 year old daughter are starting to show symptoms. It’s been very hard to rest as I’m now stuck inside with a restless toddler. It’s definitely not fun but manageable so far. The fever and chills and sore throat are the worst and most worrying. Neither my husband or daughter are vaxxed so we shall see about how or if my vaccine status helps at all.
@@DaTa-wm5yc that’s exactly where we are as well. 3 days from my initial positive test and my body aches and fever have lessened but not gone but my throat is so raw and painful. My 2 year old has super high fever and vomiting. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it as well and I hope that you recover quickly. I was told to call my doctor and ask about Paxlovid. Rx only medication that is supposed to lessen symptoms and help you recover faster. If you have a primary care it can’t hurt to call and see if they recommend anything. I hope you are better soon. Get as much rest and water as you can. 💕

I'm not vaccinated, and had covid three weeks ago and my symptoms were exactly the same as he said the vaccinated people's symptoms. I know more people that have had covid after vaccination than the people that didn't.
I’ve been through Covid-19 three times in the past. 1. This past October 2022 2. The last week of October 2022 3. This past January 2023. And I’ve managed to make a full recovery three times. But now with the new variant, we’re not out of the mess yet.
I think my case is unusual. I dont have most of the basic symptoms. But what I do have is these muscle cramps around my chest area under the breastbones.. It is a throbbing sharp pain that feels ike a knife cutting through my flesh. What is strange is it only happens at bedtime for hours that I lose a lot of sleep and I dont feel it in the daytime.
Unvaxxed and the only time I got sick since the pandemic was a sinus infection following bad allergies. The only people I know who've had worse symptoms or have Covid at all have all been vaxxed. I am not anti-vaccine, I just didn't feel the need to get it. I'm in my 20s, a bit of a health nut when it comes to supplements and what I eat and I didn't feel comfortable with something so new and heavily pushed onto people to get.
My entire family got covid after we attended a July 4th celebration. The bad symptoms lasted about 3 days for me but the cough is still with me after 2 weeks. I never had a sore throat but I had a very bad backache for 2 days. I am unvacced.

I’m on day 4 didn’t get COVID the entire pandemic even working in a hospital. Although may have couple months it was a thing. This is by far the worst. I didn’t think I’d get it this soon after I received my Pfizer booster. I received it almost two months ago. I have a fever that goes away and comes back. 102-99 back and forth. Lost my smell and taste on day two and is still gone. Severe migraines come and go. Body aches. Nasal congestion/irritation. Runny nose and sneezing. Brain fog. Hoping insomnia goes away because that’s hurting me the most. I’m constantly drinking water because I feel dehydrated all the time. I do breathing exercises. And eating healthy whole food meals with lots of fruit snacks. Teas. Taking Tylenol and vitamins. I’m isolated in one room too and trying to rest. The Tylenol and vitamins help for a few hours than the symptoms come back periodically once the Tylenol and vitamins wear off. Hoping this isn’t long COVID and it goes away soon. Praying for all your health!!
I'm on day 4 of covid as well! Day 3 my throat hurt SO much when doing any kind of swallowing, also started having a bad smell whenever I smelt anything. Thankfully I can smell things but now everything has an added smell of rotting onions.
Day 4 today and things have improved a lot, no longer do I have a headache and my fever seems to have broken. I still have body aches and a general fatigue but I don't feel terrible like I did the days before. Hope we'll both get over this soon!

*Update* it’s been 2weeks since firsts s/s Symptoms gradually are getting better from day 6 and on… Still experiencing fatigue, mental fog(episodes) and slight nasal congestion. Dry coughs came after day 6 but it isn’t severe and is slowly going away. Hoping the fatigue goes alway soon. Tylenol, vitamins staying hydrated and eating Whole Foods are helping.

I've had more of a runny nose and sore throat than the first two times I had Covid (in 2020 and early 2022). Especially in 2020, my symptoms were all lower respiratory in my lungs. Had pneumonia for 4 months. This felt more like a flu, as in lots of snot, body aches, fatigue. The first time hardly had any snot and had a dry cough.

Currently on Day 5 of symptoms:
Day 1: Ran a few miles come back and 30-60 min Later Unbelievably painful SORE THROAT. Felt like something pressed against my throat for 24 hours.
Day 2: Sore Throat got milder still bad but not as bad Day 1. So far no other symptoms yet.
Day 3: It Starts. FEVER 101-F, ACHES, SORE THROAT (same as Day 2), HEADACHE around right eye, Couldn't Sleep for more than 2 hours at a time took Tylenol for pain Help a ton.
Day 4: Sore Throat persists milder though than Day 2 and 3, new though STUFFY AND FAUCET RUNNY NOSE,
Day 5: Sore throat still here but even milder, Runny Nose kind of stopped, nostril gets dry sometimes, Still stuffy though, New LOST OF TASTE AND SMELL, can barely smell stuff need a ton of material in vapor in order to smell. Cannot Taste flavors but can Taste Salty and Sweet stuff but can't tell what it is I'm tasting. HEARING is kind of lessened. Not sure if anyone else has had that happen but it's feels like I'm hearing only 95% as well as before.

I believe mine was the Ba.5. I caught it around July 21. Mine was practically a mild cold, although my fever was quite high at 102 deg. very warm and flush and a headache. Mild tiredness and body aches on the second day, which is what I experience in the early days of a cold anyways. Rest of the time was a moderate cough, runny/stuffy nose and some pressure in my ears. Worst symptom I had was lost of taste and smell, which came back a few days later, but took 2 wks to gain it back in full 😂😂😂 I know it looks like a lot here, but I didn’t feel very bad.

I'm a 37 year old guy who is admittedly unhealthy. I don't have any diagnosed conditions, but I've not treated myself well over the past few years and have had poor diet, don't exercise and show signs of diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. I got a vaccination shot back in November of last year, but no followup.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, I was masking and/or not going around people but I let my guard down over the past few months. Well, I finally got covid - it hit me like a sack of bricks at 4 PM this past Friday. Sickest I ever felt in my life, but I don't think any lasting damage. Extreme headaches, tiredness, weakness and pain throughout my body (and it felt hot to the touch). I literally slept a whole 2 days, only getting up to use the bathroom. And the sleep wasn't great because the headaches and hot feeling kept waking me up, but I couldn't get myself to move out of the bed. I didn't notice any respiratory, nausea or digestive issues. But I also didn't eat anything because I was so drained that all I could get myself to do was go back to bed.

Yesterday my son had a positive covid test. Surprisingly I tested negative although he lives with us. Last week the doctor treated him for an ear infection. Is an ear infection an early symptom of covid?

Day 1: Woke up with a scratchy throat and a runny nose, thought it was just allergies. Some sneezing.
Day 2: Woke up with burning sinus and headache with pain in temples of the forehead. Felt fatigue and had a lot of trouble sleeping at night. Had a fever and constant chills, felt too cold but would sweat in my bed trying to sleep.
Day 3: Woke up feeling much better. A bit of runny nose and scratchy throat. No cough and fever and headache and chills seems to be gone. Feel like in a couple days I'll feel 100%.

I think I have this even though I’ve taken two tests and both came back negative. This one hit me WAY harder than when I got Covid earlier this year, and even after boosters. I woke up and felt sick, cough congestion and diarrhea after day two, although it might be because of the medication for the symptoms. I had it two or three weeks ago first time I’ve ever had it. Vaccinated about a year ago, no booster shots. I think I caught it from work, working as a cashier in a local grocery store. The first day I had a headache, it started small than progressed, i was slightly cold, nothing helped my headache go away. Then by the end of that day my throat was extremely dry. No matter what I drank or how much. Extremely cold that night, couldn’t sleep. Next day chills 10x worse, strained eyes. It hurt to look side to side. Fever of 100-101 with one you put in your mouth. 102 with the one you put to your forehead. As time went on I had a runny nose. Cough with mucus! Consistently swallowing mucus! Some ear problems nothing major. Mainly things with sinuses. Really thought I was a cold or sinus infection.

I tested positive yesterday this is the worse sickness I have ever had in my life I literally can’t even walk properly my throat is so sore and every time I cough my head feels like it’s going to explode. I worked in the most infected areas throughout my state in Walmart stores, which was the place people met up because it was an essential place to be open. I never got it. I got the vaccine, I was fine. Got the 2nd shot and I got covid. My symptoms were like having a cold, but no taste or smell, and exhausted feeling, not tired, exhausted. My huband didn't get the shot and ended up in an er and air flighted to another hospital that has been dealing with his cancer treatment, with a 50/50 chance of making it. He did. He got his vaccines and we both got our boosters. We have had covid 2 times after that. I just got tested again because we are fighting the worst flu symptoms we have ever had as well as loss of taste and smell. Pretty sure it's covid again. I have very mixed feelings over the vaccines. I wish I had never subjected myself to them. Now I am pumping my immune system with vitamins and praying my body gets over this soon.

It took decades to discover that the shingles virus is connected to the chicken pox virus. Those who are vaccinated for chicken pox before being infected are much less likely to have long term health effects.

Mine was body temp 37°C, kidney pain, uti, headaches, EYE aches, like when I move my eyes it hurts, suuuper tired all the time, upset tummy.
Have this now as well as my 13 month old and 5 year old girls. We Got it from husband who's fully vaccinated. I'm not vaccinated nor are the kids and I'm 27 weeks pregnant. He got it way worse than us even though he's much healthier and he's obviously not pregnant or overweight like me. The worst for me is the headaches and the first day body pain but tylenol works fine. Me and the girls are on day 3 and husband on day seven. Us girls are pretty much back to normal except nose irritation and tired for me. Insomnia as well the first night. The girls only symptoms have been fevers that have gone down immediately with tylenol and motrin every other dose. I've had cold and flus way worse than this honestly. The biggest thing for me is these headaches bc they are so different than what I'm used to getting which is what's throwing me for a loop. No fever or anything of that sort for me just the kids. Worth reiterating we got this from my husband who's the only one vaccinated and we have faired far better than him. What a joke.

I tested positive for COVID this morning after finding out my mom, dad & aunt all tested positive. This is the first time I’ve had it. I noticed how awfully tired I became a couple days ago, then the sore throat & cough came on. Today is probably my 2nd or 3rd day of symptoms. I have a mild fever, sore throat, body aches and the fatigue is CRAZY. I can’t even move from my bed. Hoping I only have a couple more days of this. Ugh 😢

I got my 3rd shot booster the first week of may got covid in mid June so that whole antibody level talk is bs

What are measures to take to deter infection? Vaccination deters serious illness but i want to avoid being infected altogether. We should have a means to detect covid in air before breathing it. We should have a means of neutralizing virus particles being transported by aerosols or water droplets. UV, disinfectants and air filtration are options.
That would be too expensive. Just assume every place you go with lots of people like the grocery store has someone infected there. Utilize services like online pickup and grocery delivery as much as possible. But know those workers are currently swamped and dealing with coworkers who called out. I work in a grocery store, and am re-infected myself. I wish whoever infected me had stayed home!
Edit: My store has UV lights and we disinfect surfaces. Overhauling the 20+ year old ventilation system would be too expensive to them. They don't care about the customers or the workers, as long as they make their sales.

My daughter is 10 she contracted her 1st covid in march and the 2nd is last month. Both infection have the same symptoms. Soar throat, stuff nose, bad headache and high fever like 40°c she even vomited she was so dizzy and body pain. Now is autumn and temperature is lower she is prone to seasonal flu.
COVID positive as of Monday
Started having symptoms on Sunday evening 10/09/22: possible fever (My thermometer was not correct), horrible cough, irritated throat and runny/congested nose
Monday: symptoms the same, positive test back
Tuesday: all the same symptoms, I go to the doctor for COVID meds, she confirms my fever that I've had probably for a couple days, one weird thing I notice was my gateraid had a HORRIBLE aftertaste, hadn't eaten a whole lot that day, but everything else tasted fine
Today Wednesday: 10/12/22 no cough yet, runny nose and congestion, really sore throat, gateraid now taste normal, fever is gone hopefully my body temperature stay normal

My family and I have it now, and are about over it after 4 days. The Dr advice for the OTC meds is what we did on our own and made it through with rest and hydration. My son and I are early vaxed and my wife is double vaxed. All 3 have had same symptoms and same recovery time.

My whole household is not vaxxed, we all got the BA.5… both my kiddos (2 and 1 year old ) got over it in 24 hrs. My husband and I were out for a solid 4-5 days and now feeling a lot better! Our bodies know what to do if you give them the tools to fight it.

I didn’t get Covid the entire pandemic. I just got Covid, and I was exposed from a patient at my job. Listen within 72 hours I was sick as heck. It started with a
- mild headache
- body aches
- chronic headache, like my head was going to explode
- chills and fever.
Same thing as me! I tested positive on 01-11-22 Wednesday but felt headache and chills the night before. So far I have been having night sweats.
The headache and fever was unbearable the first couple days. Some nausea but nyqil, dayquil, and ibuprofen is helping.
Now my chest and throat hurt. An occasional painful cough like pressing on my throat. It's only been 3 days as today is Friday but this has to be sickest I've ever been!
4th day of having Covid the pain my body has been going threw is wild feels like your body is paralyzed, coughing up blood , sore throat. My whole house got it was well when we never have got infected before

I've avoided Covid since it came out. Never had it. Four days ago, went to sleep with a slight, noticeable cough. Nothing serious. Woke up a few hours later with the worst sore throat I've ever had. Ever. Couldn't sleep the rest of the night. Day two: Fever set in. Skull-splitting headache midday. Tylenol worked temporarily throughout the day, but once it wore off, symptoms came roaring back. Switched to Advil and had much better results. Day 3 and 4 pretty much the same. Horrible symptoms, but would come and go. Tested negative for Covid multiple times. Maybe this is a new new variant, and old tests are missing it? The fatigue is real. Four days of no energy. All of my tests have been negative. I've had colds before. And even the flu. These last four days were neither of those

@@tomtroy3792 I did not, but two subsequent covid tests have now confirmed it's covid. As I've known a few people now with the same story, different versions, I wonder if the tests currently on the market aren't detecting it until your viral load is higher than what it takes to make you have symptoms? Not even sure I'd call them 'false negatives'. Maybe the tests aren't sensitive enough?

Going through it now, vaxxed and boosted. It started with brain fog, fatigue and the sore throat is the absolute worst part. My husband and 2 year old daughter are starting to show symptoms. It’s been very hard to rest as I’m now stuck inside with a restless toddler. It’s definitely not fun but manageable so far. The fever and chills and sore throat are the worst and most worrying. Neither my husband or daughter are vaxxed so we shall see about how or if my vaccine status helps at all.

My 2 year old has super high fever and vomiting. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it as well and I hope that you recover quickly. I was told to call my doctor and ask about Paxlovid. Rx only medication that is supposed to lessen symptoms and help you recover faster. If you have a primary care it can’t hurt to call and see if they recommend anything. I hope you are better soon. Get as much rest and water as you can. 💕

I’ve been through Covid-19 three times in the past.
1. This past October 2022
2. The last week of October 2022
3. This past January 2023. And I’ve managed to make a full recovery three times. But now with the new variant, we’re not out of the mess yet.
I got a head ache I’m fatigued and I wake up out my sleep feeling like I stoped breathing
I think my case is unusual. I dont have most of the basic symptoms. But what I do have is these muscle cramps around my chest area under the breastbones.. It is a throbbing sharp pain that feels ike a knife cutting through my flesh. What is strange is it only happens at bedtime for hours that I lose a lot of sleep and I dont feel it in the daytime.
First day feeling terrible and banging headache. I've had 5 vaccinations as well. Can't sleep.

Unvaxxed and the only time I got sick since the pandemic was a sinus infection following bad allergies. The only people I know who've had worse symptoms or have Covid at all have all been vaxxed. I am not anti-vaccine, I just didn't feel the need to get it. I'm in my 20s, a bit of a health nut when it comes to supplements and what I eat and I didn't feel comfortable with something so new and heavily pushed onto people to get.

My entire family got covid after we attended a July 4th celebration. The bad symptoms lasted about 3 days for me but the cough is still with me after 2 weeks. I never had a sore throat but I had a very bad backache for 2 days. I am unvacced.

Day1,high temp and trembling,runny nose and sore throat and spells of dizziness,loss of taste and smell did'nt sleep well.
Day2,Still high temp ,runny nose and sore throat,still no taste or smell and the dizziness has got worse.
