Thank you so much for your review I just got mine today from Kohl's for $24 pre-black Friday and there's a lot in this small little camera The video is amazing the app was very easy instructions on how to add your Wi-Fi how long you want your video to record the notification alert I should have bought a couple more. If anyone's thinking about it don't think twice I even tested it at night and the night vision is spectacular as well.I gave it a 10 review for anyone thinking about it you will not be disappointed with added security.
Keep in mind that if you have an existing account with regular Blink cameras already on it, you will be able to store your Blink Mini recordings for free to that account. No extra charge.
I realize that I'm a bit late on my comment here, however on your complaint about the IR light clicking sound. There are three settings immediately above the IR intensity setting. On, Off, Auto, choosing on or off will eliminate the clicking sound. During the day having the IR set to on will not degrade your video quality in the least. With the only downside is that you will have a very minimal power usage as the IR light stays on 24/7. Anyways, I hope that helps you out.

Bought 2 of these both stopped motion detection after six weeks, apparently many have this problem and as it’s a hardware issue it won’t get a fix. From community posts the camera seem to go to sleep after couple hours of no movement and won’t restart unless user uses app for live view. Not a recommended product if anything depends on motion detection.
xt2 only allows about 20 seconds of live streaming without clicking continue. Does the mini allow unlimited streaming duration since it's plugged in? (Want to use as baby monitor)
Not sure which phone you are using. Android, to get rid of the number of notifications appearing on your app icon, slide down from the top of your phone screen and on the blink notification bar, just slide to the left or right and the notifications disappear leaving all the recordings intact.
I know this is a 2 yr old posting but I wanted to add a couple things. A commenter on another review posting said that click actually saved his sister as a bad guy was going to enter her room & the click alerted him to the camera & scared him off. The other thing is the red badges. Those drive me nuts too so I think I would put that app on a page on my phone’s Home Screen that isn’t my main screen. So I can flip to it when needed & not have to see the notification badge every time I look at my phone.

What can I do with just a Blink Mini without subscription or Blink Sync Module? Will I be able to at least get short clip of notifications and be able to have live view with the Blink app?
we just took them back, it takes WAY too long to get live view, it is a minute or more before you can see what the notifications were, it comes thru but it doesn't show up to see it for a couple mins and half the time the talk feature won't work. Geenie and merkury work quickly, i got tired of someone being gone before I could see live view.
Great video. I know this video is 2 yrs. old, but I just picked up a 2 pack at Best Buy for $33 can’t beat that. I believe this sale is good until 10/15/22. So far I’m liking the mini for what my needs are and the video is great.
I went for the BB sale and ended up returning my Blink Mini for the Eufy pan and tilt. Just a much better camera overall, even if you just want a basic camera. Much better video, sound and app. The pan and tilt has been much more useful than I thought but you can get the non tilt for a few dollars cheaper.
Just got two for use in the bedroom. Gonna do a little ghost busting at night. Been over run with strange lights and noises so it's gonna be interesting to see what’s picked up.....

You can actually log into the same account across multiple devices - I currently am logged into 4 different devices and also have them tied into my amazon show devices throughout the home.

I installed this mini camera. Do you have to press on the camera symbol every time you want to see a live view. I noticed after I click on the camera it shows the view but the live view doesn’t continue. When we would move it doesn’t show us unless we click on the camera symbol again.
Great review. Without the subscription, will this send short video clips with a motion alert showing me what tripped it? I don't need continuous monitoring and have cats in the house. I just want to know that when I get an alert, was the motion detected a pet or an intruder?
I just purchased one of these and for some reason the camera only turns on when I click on the image to see a live view? In other words it's not continuously monitoring. Is this normal? When I had an Amazon Cloudcam it was always continuously monitoring as I could see the green light on all the time. Is this normal for Blink? Additionally, in my app I don't see the enhanced quality, I only see Save, Standard and Best. Furthermore on the home screen I don't see a photo of my view I only see a gray-ish color patch rather than the view that my camera is pointing at. Any insight would be great.

Videos are not time-stamped which makes them worthless in my jurisdiction if they actually record a crime. The district attorney will not prosecute without a time-stamp because there's no way to prove to a jury when the crime actually happened.

Does it show if your phone has to have a certain software number or higher for someone that has a say 2 year old cell thru metro or one of the pay as you go plans.. they don't send out software updates on time as say Verizon, ATT and those would?

I got this today to test, they have changed the app video quality settings so best now means best, it’s a nice layout on the app, I like it.

Thank you for mentioning that clip storage costs $3 a month on the blink mini unless the blink hub 2 is purchased (about $35)

The blink outdoor 4 cams record locally too I'm pretty sure I'm not sure how old this video is as I'm commenting.

They are actually time stamped. The time stamp is on the file name... Of course, this doesn't do much in terms of the name being easily changed...

My wyze won't work since I moved. Is this one compatible with 5g as wyze is not.
