@@bendichtwalthert Frank Zappa was known for his experimental music, squeezing new sounds out of typical instruments, and even making anything into an instrument. Check out his performance on a late show, demonstrating a bicycle as an instrument. 🚲
His devotion to his music and his approach that this is a part of me, it might not be what you were expecting but here it is attitude is refreshing ! It comes across in his music joyful and enthusiastic. Like the thought that each new day in which we are able to take our instruments and make strange or new and exotic music is something special ! There is this feeling that its okay to smile and not seem like we need to put on the angry mask or be black every day to make great metal music . Thank you for your contribution to music !
This is the kind of thing that makes me want to pick up a guitar and quickly go play with him..great Work, as usual. Yeahhh. That tome. Bibidabadibidababi 🖤🤘🤘💪💪
Can`t lie, that pronouncement of the beat during the song gave me strong visual image of an 80`s karate training camp with an sensei who had strong rythmic sense:)
Only the guitar sound has changed. This stuff, played with guitar, is at least 50+ years old at this point. Guitar has been in this new place since the 1970's. Thank you John Mclaughlin with Shakti.
This is like Dream Theater stuff.. man how even can you remember all those notes!! ?? Such an artist such a musicianship such a master!! Thanx for this masterpiece! Im loving it+ ❤
Agree. But keep in mind that this is just one piece among many from his unique repertoire. He is definitely a musical anomaly. One of my favorites is Teargas Jazz. If you’re not familiar with that one you should check it out.
@@cyclistman6358 man i wasnt comparing him . Was just saying the styles.. and thats the playing style i love.. unfortunately i discovered him very late and now im loving his style and note choices.. It is borderline 'soundtrack' as the whole arrangement is like telling a story from cover to cover. Sounds to me like a cyber-prog-metal and I like it a lot!
Mattias might have 99 problems, but balding aint one 😜 Been following you 2 decades+.. never a dull moment in your music and personality. Love you man 🇨🇦
Great tune here, sounds incredible with the weird synth part in the middle 👏⭐ Ser ju direkt ja har övat fel hela livet. Får börja downstroke drama istället för att skrapa triss i hopp om att ta guld i tungt anslag till nästa OS😅

Both this AND new Dream Theater on the same day. Today is turning out to not be such a bad day after all!
This is 🔥!
Frank Zappa is enjoying this 100% - from where he is now - seeing Mattias is exploring new music in his spirit!
Random, unfounded comment right there. Using the Lords name in vain is a sin don't you know.
was hat den dies mit zappa zu tun ? nichts begriffen

Metal with a smiley face, Rock On!
Came for the down strokes, stayed for the up and down strokes. Liked and subbed.
In all honesty I like upstrokes too! :)
So awesome
Had no idea there was a konnakol effect/pedal. Always appreciate your dedication and creativity!
Mattias The Human Metronome! Excellent!
Such devotion and brilliance.
And always humour.
Love your approach.
Oh man that part at 3:11 !
Wow sound like hip hop scratch at 0. 30 !!! Well done
Thank you.
Glorious, fun and fascinating... as ever! Thank you Mattias.
Put such a smile on my face today. Been a fan for a long time, subbed on my new account. Love you, Mattias!

Incredible piece - especially love the sequenced descending runs!
You are my big inspiration to stay thinking like a guitarrist, thank you for all the updates and uploads on this crazy path that we are now in music❤
Love it!
No words)) It's so well composed, played, technically advanced, and progressive.... Damn, I should pick up my guitar immediately and practice!!
The Indian twist (konakol if I'm not mistaken) completely blew my mind🤯 keep it coming👍🏻

Absolutely mind-bending! Can't wait to figure this one out! 😭💯💥

The best thing RUclips could show me first thing in the morning while having a cup of coffee haha! Thanks, Mattias. 🤘🤘
Pay attention all you all aspiring guitarists. This is how it's done! ❣💯👋
This stuff is heavy AF.
I knew practising all those Metallica songs would have a benefit someday!
Mathias invented a new style - Kanakol metal. Very cool! 😊

Not one "half step interval dissonant two-string lick" on this track. That's unexpected.

First time hearing you, Mattias. Your frets made me worried I was having another acid flashback, and the music did nothing to help. 10/10
May you be blessed with cinnamon Baklava and a glass of water.
We need to see Yogev improvising on the drums to this!
Carnatic Metal, The Big Machine, Johnny the metronome and Downtroke drama. All of are heavy hitters like the Big 4 💪
The section at 3:13 is wonderful
I would like to see a jam with Mattias and Paulo Schroeber(RIP), from Brazil
Crafting gifts for the the Gods since always. My chest now has a moustache.
Häftigt använde du Helix pitch shift och synth effekt i solo melodin eller var det plugins?
Det var synthrack i Reason som jag fepplade runt med. Gifter sig bra med gitarren. (Om man har TT-band). 🤩

Curios about that guitar. Where is the pickup selector? Is it the Push pull pot volume?
Push-push. No fan of push-pull. 👍
