    Great playing as always but I need to commend you on such a great demo - you really show what the pedal can do by cycling through different settings and guitars - fantastic.

      Dietrich Kappe mutually assured destruction, anyone?
      Perhaps MUTUALLY ASSURED DISTORTION? Hot little pedal!
      The Dan Echo is also a favourite of mine ... it has that “rounder”, more analog-sound when ones ears tire of the digital delay cut. If one has not tried it out, do so! Great tone sculpting in a simple, lavender pedal. Sturdy build, too.

    Best demo of the Eisen- Pedal I’ve seen so far. Only thing is you should have turned the bass knob down to about 9 or 10 o: clock.

    I love the sound with the fuzz level all the way down! Although the crazy fuzz chaos is awesome, I love that bell like tone! It's almost like a guitar trying to emulate steel drums.

    This is the demo, after this I plunked down for one. The Eisenhower and Keeley's Fuzz Bender are two of the most versatile fuzzes on the market. This demo and Rabea's for the KFB and I was broke for cash but rich with tonal possibilities.

    • @johnwoods5140
      @johnwoods5140 4 года назад

      Those are the two I'm trying to decide between! So you got both? I'm curious to hear your opinions/thoughts of each after a few months?

    • @mykhedelic6471
      @mykhedelic6471 4 года назад +1

      @@johnwoods5140 Well, it's all personal opinion, but the Eisenhower never fails to produce an amazing, eviscerating sound. It's in the octave fuzz family, so, if that's your speed then it's a steal. The Keeley covers so many other fuzz sounds that it's ridiculous, but it is more of a tweakers kinda pedal. With both you've got 80% of the fuzz world pretty much covered for not too many dimes. I've kind of been on a fuzz quest and I seem to be in the octave camp, but pretty much the world of fuzz tones amuses and inspires me. I've amassed a small army of fuzz pedals in the last year or so and that Dano really tripped me out for how immediate and distinct it is. I've got a Fulltone Octafuzz that's the real deal but ol' Eisenhower is a bit more instantaneous and odd. I hate to make it more difficult, but get both. Just budget wisely and enjoy the wide array that fuzz has to offer. These 2 could keep you occupied for awhile, though. Also, if starting a fuzz collection be sure to get a decent eq pedal to follow up with. These 2 have enough of their own control but many other fuzzes you can pull a ton of weird stuff out of them by exaggerating their frequencies. I have some of the pricier fuzzes and some bargain basement stuff and messing with an eq after even a cheap fuzz can really surprise you. Fuzz is a pedal that can be amazing at all ends of the pricing spectrum. It really does become an addiction. A decent overdrive, delay and a phaser keeps me happy when I'm not fuzzing, but a fuzz and some reverb and it's like I've been abducted by aliens. Apologies... this kind of ran on and may have ceased to be useful...

      @@mykhedelic6471 thanks for all the info, but I just learned about the DOD Carcosa and ordered that. And lucky for me (it was the last one at Sweetwater), because right after I did I learned that they are discontinued!

    • @mykhedelic6471
      @mykhedelic6471 4 года назад

      @@johnwoods5140 Yep, Andy Martin did 3 or 4 videos for Carcosa, because it has tones for days. I've got about 25 fuzzes, Carcosa included, and Eisenhower probably amuses me the most. It's pretty versatile, but my Carcosa, Keeley and ZVex are probably the most versatile. Once you're in the fuzz you start to develop a pretty discerning ear. You start craving the many flavors of fuzz. I just plunked down on a used Wampler Fuzztration (dislike the graphic, but the versatility can't be denied.) I went 25 years on a delay pedal, only. You can get alot out of the right pedal. But, when you branch out, you can lose your mind (and all your money) in the pedal world--- and then when you get to fuzz-- it's time to start harvesting your plasma. Carcosa will keep you busy, but when you want more... there are alot of unique flavors out there. You've heard 5 overdrives you've nearly heard them all, but fuzz? Textures, colors, voices, shapes etc. You can get in deep without it getting snobby. Sculpt your sound. Get chiaroscuro.

    I don't particularly care for the "sculpt" setting, but this is an extremely versatile pedal in terms of possible sounds. Love the flat sounds at all settings. P.S.: I have the other three Danalectro pedals that came out recently, so I'm definitely a fan.
