Honestly the best bmw to daily drive is a F30 328i. 1. It’s a 4 cyl so it’s good on gas 2. Honestly it’s not too slow I think it’s like 5.9 for the 0-60 which isn’t terrible but not the greatest 3. The only thing u gotta worry about is the timing chains and again if ur up on ur maintenance then it shouldn’t be a problem at all. 4. The N20 and N26 engines also have lots of performance mods available. Ik all this because I used to own a 2013 328i and it was a perfect first bmw but I’ve now moved onto a 2017 340i.
yes, those thing chains are a real issue unfortunately. that's one reason why I wouldn't recommend it if you want a reliable bmw
@@JonathanWeeks yeah that’s fair, those timing chains are expensive to maintain too. A technician that works at bmw told me it’s a good idea to change the timing chains every other oil change I get to avoid any problems. I’m not sure if this is true or not. I might be mistaken on what he said but I’m pretty sure that’s what he told me.
im 15 im wanna buy my bmw wen i turn 16 but idk if i should get a 328i 335i or 340i i obviously want a reliable one cause its my first car i jus dont know which to settle for they all have their ups i cant find no really guide on to which is best for a first car and fist time drivership
335i is a reliable beacuse it has a reliable engine N55 and it has 5 seats and it's great all rounder car even for family

If you want to get started with BMW, a E46 330i would be great to get your hands dirty with DIY and modding. Also a great cheap project car if it’s going to be a second car.
Planning on getting into turbos with a 335/340i next.

My first car was E63 650Ci and I crash it so kids for a first car don't buy somthing too powerful and fast buy something like that as an second car when you have an experience and skill so after I crashed my 650Ci I get an E90 325D and now I own an F30 335i!!!! Sport's cars are not for a new drivers!!!

Hi Jonathan. Great content? I had a bmw e93 convertible 335i N54 engine. Sadly the engine got damaged. Had to fit another N54 engine. This is a common problem in the U.K.So I bought a bmw e93 325i N53 engine as it’s far more reliable. I speak from experience. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

For a first car ever? Nah I don't think that's a good idea. It will require more time, money and patience than you probably have. First car ever, get Honda or Toyota. Something to learn with first, then upgrade

@@agege aha many problems im on my second motor but also wasnt the smartest with the first overall jus keep up with maintenance n normal high mileage issues and you’ll be fine !
