Keep pushing bud!! I’ve been playing for 25 years now, and I can speak for literally every musician ever when I say, we all sounded like this when we first started. You took the plunge and took it upon yourself to try and start learning. Mad props and respect. I wanna see another video in a year documenting your progress. I’m gonna subscribe just to see it.
You remind me of playing guitar even with the tremelo ,the only thing here I am at 70 trying to pick up where I left off at 8 years old.Stick with it later you will be good.I wish I stuck with it.
i recommend looking up some online tutorials, (someone like marty shcwatz is good for begginers) also learning how to read guitar tab makes it much easier to learn songs. try learn some one string riffs like seven nation army by the white stripes or walk by pantera. Im happy to give any more tips or riff suggestions. keeps rockin mate
I see potential, just focus on learning simpler songs or riffs by artists, like Enter Sandman, Seek and Destroy, Iron Man, Breaking the Law, or the Man Who Sold the World All of those are simple to learn excluding the riffs (other than TMWSTW)
Well you are playing and that will help you get better! Keep it up. I would get a thinner pick, make sure you are in tune and focus in simple songs to start. But keep picking up the guitar! 🙌
Just learn some riffs but like master them, when I mean master then master couse you'll learn some baddass techniques and tada you're good at playing guitar, keep on rocking buddy🔥
you're playing and that matters, focus more on how you hold youre pick. When i started playing i holded my pick the same way as you, but if you hold your pick with your index finger and thumb it ill get better
no beginner should learn music theory, music theory should be learnt once you are at a intermediate level, but yea i agree he should learn easy 1 string riffs then move onto 2 strings and so on and so on.
It's really only up to what makes it more comfortable or easier. I find clamping down my pick like James Hetfield with three fingers is so much easier and more comfortable than the "normal" technique. Issue I come in with is my fingers always scratching other strings, almost everything is palm muted, and if I flair my fingers, it's just uncomfortable and makes me slower There are definitely certain techniques that are a MUST with picks, though (like using only your wrist to not tire yourself)
@@Light-v9r ... dude because someone is a kid doesn't mean they can just mindlessly strum non existent chords, I am also a kid but I don't do stuff like that (he has been playing for 3 days probably mean while I have been for 2 years) but still don't lie to his face that it was "good" saying the truth isn't bad thing, if you say the truth he will know that he must improve.
1:23 as a guitarist I believe we can all say we’ve been there
Right 👍

Nice
Look up the proper way to hold a pick, it’ll be a lot easier
there is no proper way really James from Metallica plays like this with 2 fingers
@@TheArchive98-x5l he doesnt play "like that" and geck is trying to give advice

@@geck0617 maybe his wrist just move more as he uses his arm to strum
