You ever heard of drum & bass? That's a whole grenre without guitar. Bass does not need a guitar. It's very common to get bands without guitar but incredibly rare to get bands without basses. I feel like the bass riffs weren't properly represented here since there are some pretty insane riffs like Jaco Pastorius's "Chicken" and Level42's "Love Games"
