Could you imagine a full 90 minute concert? I'd be exhausted by the end just listening. I love playing bass. I have been playing for 38 years. I will never be this good. That's ok. I wiil keep on loving playing bass.

Years before I started playing bass, a friend told me “bass is probably the easiest instrument to learn to play, but it is one of the hardest to get good at.” Over fifteen years of playing, he’s definitely right.
Bass guitar is easy compared to other instruments. Try the trombone
@@sterlingmartin3212 Every instrument seems to have a plateau where you really don't feel like you're getting better for a long time. Just kind of doing the same thing for awhile and perfectly competent, but you're not really progressing. Bass is one of the hardest to be good at because its plateau seems much harder to break from than most instruments. Does that make sense? Not sure if I put that the best way possible.

I’m pretty certain this was originally said about the guitar many centuries ago. The guitar is the easiest instrument to learn, but one of the hardest to master. Except in Italian or German. I’d have to look it up.
You two are literally some of the most technically skilled musicians I’ve ever seen.

2 of my absolutely favorite musicians. This was beyond stellar and i cannot wait for my daughter to get home from school to show it to her. i would freaking adore seeing an actual full on collaborative peace written and performed by the two of you it would be mind blowing. makes me want to be a much better musician then i am thats for sure. AWESOME!

Loved the swap. Never imagined both instruments could sound so clean while played like that.
I really like the structure of these battles as they show off different techniques while having the two people somewhat playing together and going back and forth quickly at times all leading into the final bit which is typically the craziest.
This was so enjoyable. You seem to be able to quickly understand each others musical language and I'm very curious what you'd come up with if you wrote a few tracks together for an EP or something.

Overall: I REALLY love Charles, his bass is immensely impressive. This feels so hard to give the win to, but.....I can't deny Bernth here giving it 100% and not pulling his technique. This is literal 99.99% vs 100%, where you HAVE to give a win to someone, and.....Bernth just knows his instrument just that little bit more, but Charles MADE him hit as hard as he gave, which is always what matters. Artists playing with that passion and fire, their skill and technique at peak.
