Hi, How to know (or see) the difference between a) single use chip or b) ARC chip installed?
Hello Sailor, thanks for the question. For the LC3219 LC3217 cartridges there are no ARC chips available - some sellers offer products saying that the cartridges have ARC chips but according to our findingd they have not. The goods sold have onetime chips and the seller may think that You can go on printing with an "empty" chip on the cartridge - this was the situation with older Brother cartridge models, burt not for LC3217 LC3219 anymore.
Just by looking on the chip its hard to say if it is an onetime or an AR chip. You can just see it by the chip´s functionality - autoreset means to us that You get a full ink level again status after the chip has been printed empty.
The compatible LC3219 ink cartridges (single-use chip) I received are not recognized by the Brother MFC-J6930DW. It says: " Cannot Detect 01. Reinstall slowly. Press down the ink release lever." Nothing did help. Could you advise, please?
Hello Vitalie, thanks for contacting us. Based on Your description we assume that either there are wrong chips installed on the alternative cartridges or the printer cannot make contact to the chips properly and then the recognition fails.
@@octopusoffice Thanks. You're right. I have bypassed one by one and found that is a dead battery on the Yellow ink cartridge chip. Weird if the printer is not telling exactly what/where is the issue.
hello! if you see this question, ill be gratefull to hear your advice. on 0:46 you showing picture of "ink port". on refillable carteidges there is pvc međbran which is punctured on first inserting. and it is adviced to not remove it. BUT, what if that fell of by itself. do you have some idea how to replace it and with what sticler, glue, material... thanks in adfance!
Hello Vanja, thanks for Your question. The plastic foil is attached to the cartridge´s body by ultrasonic welding - so when it comes off there is the danger that the valve inside the ink outlet does not work relably anymore and ink may leak into You printer.
Fixing the valve by using for example tape or glue bears the risk that the that material sticks in and araound the ink inlet inside the printer- also not good.
We would recommend to get a new cartridge whose ink port is sealed properly....
@@octopusoffice somehow i expected such answer. but, just by logic, if thos cartrides are made for multiple insertions, i can't see why is that so imprtant part of cartridge is not made better. right now i do not have any more original ones, to see is there usable part to replace it. so for someone who do not print so much it seems that original (or original-ish) tanks must be better solution. thank you for answer, but altough i knew what your answer will be, i did have some little hope that that part of tank is also "tweaked". thanks! regards! vanja
Hello Vanja, thanks for Your feedback - we are with You on the importance of the connection between printer and cartridge. From our experience we know that it does not happen so often that the plastic foil comes off - so we are sorry for Your case.

Wat siringes should u use for ink 3217 ink cartridges
The tutorial is suitable for LC3219 and LC3217 cartridges at the same time - so You can use the syringes used in the tutorial for LC3217 too.
My printer is not recognizing my tanks after replacing battery from chip. How to solve the problem?
Thanks for contacting us. The battery on the chip is not intended for being replaced. When removing the battery the chip loses its programming. You need a new alternative chip.

Thanks for Your question. Our tutorial für LC3211 LC3213 is coming very soon as we will have a suitable chip resetter for these cartridges and our ink is in its final stages of development ... :)
What if i use all of ink i need to buy New chip or i can use resetter?
Hello Glen, the chips used in this tutorial are alternative one-time chips. They are good for one printing cycle. That means after the chip has sent the message cartridge empty You have to replace it with a new chip / full chip. The alterntive chips are not made to get reset.
