I raelly like the design of this distro - I particularly like the continuity between each app and the continuity of the design. I think that is missing in many Linux distros/DEs (except maybe Gnome)
I tried it it is good but not great for some reason Kylin block the flatpak plugin for the Gnome store and Flatpak dont show up in the menu after installing flatpak
I believe this distro serve 1 important purpose: preparation if certain country ban their OS. so, this OS is compatible with apps used by corporate, government, and military. no problem if it doesn't serve the user outside that group, at least for now.
Why don't you make distro presentation videos like the old way anymore? It was better that way with no narrative voice, just relaxing music and captured distro footages. Maybe because someone else bought this channel?
ubuntu based? no its debian based then. linux desktop use still 3% its bcoz 1m distros. windows users not going to choose unless there one linuxOS and distros be just themes
Isn't that kind of the point of this RUclips? Although I would never touch this distro with a 10 foot pole, I can definitely see why LS showcases this distro. It's quite new after all.
@@emiellr im saying not "touching this didtro eith a 10 foot pole" is kind of a cope. But its nice this channel covers new distros. Would be interesting to see other distros too
Given that Deepin was already collecting data and phoning home (even to the point of only selectively doing so, when it was sure that it's not in a virtual machine where one could most easily test for such a thing, and only after a timer has finished on an installation on real hw), and that the Chinese regime has become even more autoritarian since then, I really cannot recommend using Chinese-made software, even if it's from people who declare themselves as hobbyists.
Meanwhile Windows, Intel chips, Cisco routers are all US made and phone home to the NSA. I cannot recommend using US made products as the US regime has become even more authoritarian since then. You sound like a racist lol

This is how KDE should look like
Reminds me a of half way between Apple OS and Deepin OS - very clean looking

It's simple and clean, I like it. Also, LM should adopt the main menu which can be maximized.

Yes and then there is no snap

Why is this DE not in Arch? There is only one old version of ukui danm :/
The problem is whether software developer will release programs for Kylin
Can I get this installed on my old android tablet?
It's just been collecting dust for a while.
- And maybe a chromebook too.
It seems very similar to deepin
güzel olmuş deepim benzesede sevdiğim bir dağıtım
Beautiful ❤
China doesn't want to use US softwares but why use WPS Office? WPS Office only uses file formats from Microsoft.

They should have put all these efforts into making Deepin better
Touchpad gestures?
how to install brave browser in open kylin
You're supposed to disclose it when you've been paid to do a video. Your script is ridiculous.
Please give a wallpaper with a 5 min video
Thanks

@emiellr Well, although there was no voice back then, we'd still feel that LinuxScoop's content was neutral, while here it's promotional.
Pity it doesnt come as a separate desktop
👍
it's a modified Deepin Desktop
ubuntu background - than it is a slow one
Open os from a closed country
Awsome 😎😎😎
looks like DeepIn
This is a shameless advert. Why are you not telling us what THIS distro offers over others?
(this distro just came out, chill out)

You're worried about data collection as you use Google products and post a comment on RUclips???
