That is so huge that Cynthia Cooper acknowledged that Caitlin has drawn renewed interest in her... people are learning these names and faces for the first time and being rocognized out in the public... LOVE IT. The men in the NBA got the tv time where people saw their faces. Through Caitlin these women are being brought up now... every month it is growing. This is what i was saying. CC fans will discover other players naturally if these haters stop trying to force things and tell them who they "should" watch instead of CC or who deserves the praise CC gets. The growth this season would be even higher if people embraced new fans and casual fans that came because of CC. She has me talking about how great Napheesa Collier is and how she's in the MVP conversation. I realized the other day i can name every player on the Fever off the top of my head without even thinking about it too much. I can even name some of the coaches by name besides Christie Sides. I remember when Kim passed. It was a sad day then and hearing you talk about it brings back that emotion. Coop is a GOAT and will always be one of my favorites. Thank you for bringing her name back into the W. The Comets were fantastic and it is sad that there is no longer Houston team. Love your show.

The "Caitlin Clark effect" caught my attention and I only played 1 year of high school basketball. Always liked basketball but wasn't interested in the WNBA but know I am. I'm hooked, and you're right Caitlin has brought new eyes to the game and we all can see how many good players are actually in the game. I'm enjoying the ride! I'm glad I found your channel. God bless!

Thank you for sharing about the early years of the WNBA. Your story touched me. Cynthia Cooper went through a lot of heartache and showed such great strength and character! I love learning these background stories that make me admire athletes, even if it did make me cry! Watching Caitlin brings me such joy and fun. She makes me better and I've never played basketball! ❤️

My parents and siblings are die hard Trojan fans. The 83 team played at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Last time I seen women's basketball in college, never watched the WNBA till now. That same intensity and excitement is back with a vengeance. Thank you CC and yes let's Honor the greatest team in drawing in the girls to dream about a career after college basketball was over. The true pioneers.

This brings to mind an interview with Little Richard. He was asked about Elvis Presley covering his song 'Tutti Frutti'(it went to #17 on the Billboard charts in 1956) Little Richard said at first he was disgusted by Elvis covering it. But after it flew up the charts he said, "By Elvis recording it, it made the song bigger and made me bigger". RNB

Great video, Adrienne!!! You know I watched Swoopes score 47 points in the 1993 national championship, and I loved the Comets: Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes, Tina Thompson, Kim Perrot, and Janeth Arcain. I just can't remember who played center. I'm so glad that you had the opportunity to meet Coop and to bring some of your players to meet her. What a great memory for you to treasure! God bless you, Adrienne.
