Aja Wilson added to the list now badmouthing Indiana Fever fans as bullies. While it was at an Ace's game where there was true bullying going on... not at a Fever game.
Dearica Hamby who now plays for Los Angeles Sparks and is the former Las Vegas Aces player, Dearica Hamby claims that the Aces withheld agreed-upon benefits after she announced her pregnancy. She says that she was forced to vacate the housing that the Aces offered her in 2022, and that the school's tuition for her daughter's private school was no longer paid. The Las Vegas Ace's fans booed Dearica Hamby when she played them during the 2024 season with her team. It was the worst form of bullying have ever watched a fan base exhibit in the WNBA. The way that Dearica was treated as a young mother is the worst case of bullying in the WNBA... have mothers in the WNBA been treated badly like this on any other teams?

The WNBA has always had a problem with thinking they need to look tough. It takes so much strength to be as sweet as these women are in that environment. I have so much respect for them and they brighten my life.

I'm not sure if that's true, it was Joe Kim Noah, he was the exact kinda of player as Reese, a big rebounder and little offence.
They probably cut cards or drew straws or something to be the lone other vote just so Clark wouldn't be the unanimous ROTY. The WNBA is theater, not sports.

I tear up every time I hear Kelsey's section. Erica and Temi's words were emotional, too. Lyss was the most surprising. I really thought DCs nastiness would affect their relationship, but it seems they have a genuine friendship and I'm so happy for Caitlyssa.

Spot on. The coolest thing about watching this journey this year is seeing how the team came together. CC learning how to shine as a rookie. Kelsey learning how to shine as the vet. Aliyah figuring out how to dominate in second year! Lexie's amazing game! Erica continuing to be an amazing spokesperson and voice. There's so many things. Special special team .

The voters are made up of two local journalists from each WNBA market and a collection of national WNBA writers, reporters, and broadcasters. With 24 local market voters this season, it means there were 43 national voters.

This team had a magnifying glass put on them the entire season. They were all targets of the trolls and haters many of those from within the league itself. They all rose above it together and ignored the noise. Her teammates know better than most what she went through. It would have broken most others. This season, this rookie season, will go down as perhaps the greatest rookie season ever. Long past time for the haters within the league to accept the gift the league has been given in the form of Caitlin Clark.

I think CC not giving up in the face of hate, is actually her greatest strength. It's a superpower that she probably used to her advantage ... like Michael Jordan said in his Hall of Fame speech. Negativity added fuel to the fire. Both of them are just made differently.

So good! This is a great combination of youth, wisdom and determination. And you can mix that up and say each one has all three! This might be one of the greatest trios of all time! Adrienne, you pointed out that CC would win many awards in the future. When I think about what a hard start they had, and then think about a whole season playing at the level she showed she could play at after the all star break, it's actually kind of scary. She's going to be setting new records (like assists) that will only ever be broken by one player...Caitlin Clark. At least some of those records will stand for years as there doesn't appear to be anyone in the college bball system that has the potential to match her. I could be wrong about that, but it will at least be a few years.
Lin Dunn claims that Free agents are already lined up. Satou Sabally NEEDS to be in the Fever's crosshairs.

My favorite was Kelsey. I loved that big smile: "Congratulations kid." But they were all great. Also, interesting from Kelsey: "give yourself some grace."
My favorite was Kelsey too. I didn't care for her much at the beginning of the season, but over time I've come to appreciate her so much! I just love her. I loved to hear her, "What's up, Friend?" It's been a joy to watch these young women become not only teammates, but good friends.
@@kingskidgirl2 at the beginning of the season I didn't care much for her either. But then I learned her father had died just a couple of months earlier, in March, and I immediately gave her grace. It must have been unimaginably hard for her to walk onto that court and hoop when her heart was broken.

And I learned tonight that my 2nd Favorite Player, 2024 Storm Rookie Nika Mühl Tore her ACL in The Overseas League game She was playing in. She was having a Fantastic game Ballin out, but in the final minutes of the 3rd quarter, She went down Sideways after Stealing the ball. It was absolutely Heartbreaking watching the video of her cries as She went down in Agony. I Came on tonight heavy hearted, but saw that you did a show, and so happy I came on. Congrats CC! Yep, We all knew. I Loved the Teammates Rallying around CC during the practice when She got the News, You could easily see they were genuinely excited for her, and so happy together! Also
I thought the video Tribute of CC’s Teammates was absolutely Warming and wonderful! There was alot of sincerity from them to her in there which reassured me of a few things. And yeah Adrienne, when I saw Kelsey speaking to CC that part When she said I’ll always have your back Court, I Immediately Felt that it was a Hint, intentionally or not, that Kelsey was Relaying a direct message that She Will Re-Sign with The Fever to Continue Building This Team together.
I too saw that report about Nika Muhl. It broke my heart to see her go down in her very first game with that team. I wish her rapid healing and a complete recovery.

FEVER girls are part of Caitlin's success, but they all showed gratitude...very heartfelt. I think we feel so protective of our superstar because of her dazzling game, the crap she brushed off, her competitiveness on the court, and her humbleness off the court. Her teams love and respect her because they saw firsthand that she is as tough as she is vulnerable. Caitlin is very open with her feelings, which is why we are drawn to her. What she hides from us is her vulnerable side because, as a competitor, you never show your opponent your weaknesses. But she confides in those she trust (her teammates) for true support. They know her more than we do. But she gives us her true self in a way that is for us to figure that out. Consequently, there are those who love her or are envious of her.
Interesting how Caitlin was notified by phone for her ROY at practice in Connecticut, while Carrington was presented her MIP Award, just before the start of game 2 of the playoffs. Two weeks later, the league announces Caitlin’s ROY to the public.
