    The main thing I take from this is how respectful Kirk was. He asked questions to get to know them better. And didn’t try to ask leading questions to get some sort of story from their family like most interviewers try to do. I love that Kirk is a genuine interviewer and just wants to hear stories of how God is working. It’s honestly so refreshing.

    Thank you for this Mr Cameron.
    Ginger has done a God honoring job of respecting her family while explaining how IBLP led her family into some dark places.
    I’m tired of hearing how bad the Duggar parents were, according to the media.
    We all sin and fall sort of the glory of God. Praise Jesus that He works through the muddle to keep us close to Him.

      I totally agree of tired of hearing how bad the Duggars are! Jinger and Jeremy are a very sweet and adorable couple. I think it is great how God brought them together and how God is working through them to show others Christ. It could be a family member needing to see and hear about the Lord so they draw closer to God. God uses all kinds of our circumstances to draw us closer to God and to draw others closer to God if we keep an open mind, heart and Love for Christ first in our lives. Everything and everyone on this earth has a reason to work into God’s plan but we must be willing to let Jesus in. Like that picture Jesus standing at the door knocking. If you notice there is no door handle on Jesus side. That’s because you have to open the door from inside your heart and let Jesus in! If you are not sure which picture I am talking about look up Jesus knocking at the door. Look at it closely. No door handle on Jesus side!
      God can use Jinger to help reach a lot of people rather in her family, friends, or people who watch their show! There needs to be more uplifting not down grading in this world!

    Mr. Cameron, are you planning on having them on again? I would really like to hear Jinger talk more about her book and discuss her faith now as opposed to her faith when she was on the show. I really think she has a powerful message to share concerning the difference between true faith in Jesus Christ and a "rules based religion". There is a true difference between morality and Christianity. Individuals can be moral without a saving relationship in Jesus Christ. And that is the difference between life and death and really needs to be brought up. Thank you.

Jinger said on CBN, "When we can view ourselves the way God made us then we can accept the unchangeable things in our lifes then we can love others thru Christ's love, we'll be able to relate to other people." I actually wrote this down because it help me be content with who I am and who God made me to be. Now I'm wondering why Jinger would say that if she didn't believe it. It’s typical for young couples when they’re starting out to want to leave their families and strike out to sort of start out on their own. Especially if they felt that they were going to have a very challenging time trying to have the freedom to raise their own children the way they want to.
    But you lose a lot that way. We moved across the country to give our children a different upbringing than we had, and to be honest, it was not the wisest or most courageous choice.
    It would’ve been better to keep the family strong and stay together while BRAVELY standing on our convictions with or without our parents approval.
    It comes down to boundaries. If more young couples understood the principle of honoring their parents even if they disagree, it would be a stronger Christian society.
    You don’t have to obey your parents to honor them. And you also don’t need to separate your children from their grandparents to prove your authority in your family.

To see the change in him/them now. You can tell she has been coached on how to respond. And yet I love her and her family for their truths. As they knew it. Which is everyone in life. If you want to truly disentangle, modern-day churchianity IS NOT what we are reading in the Bible. I was in seminary when I saw the contradictions of what "the church" is teaching versus God's word. They are not the same thing. I withdrew never to look back. God's word is clear and taught by every prophet and our Messiah. No one said His word was "old" except some guy who titled part of our Bible that way. If you really want to come to Christ, then you have to believe Christ. He said, "If you want to enter life, keep the commandments." He said, "Repent or perish." He said, "Blessed are they that do the commands that they may have right to the Tree of Life." He said, "I know that His command leads to eternal life." He's not lying; it's what His Father said from the beginning and what is preached in the end. What we see today in our pagan churches, is not biblical truth. No one in the Bible ever said, "ask Jesus into your heart" for eternal life. No one ever said, "accept Jesus as Lord and Savior" for eternal life. No one ever said, "Salvation is free." No one ever said, "Fearing God is a bad thing." Do you know who says those things when they aren't in the Bible? Man. The modern day church. Jinger. Kirk. Preachers. And on and on and on.

      It can be repressive in a subconscious way when any kind of conflict is discouraged. That affects how children learn to distinguish their own emotions, learn how to express yourself and set boundaries when you’re told to stifle yourself.
      Conflict doesn’t have to mean contention or fighting. It can mean acknowledging differences calmly and working through and to an acceptable compromise.

    • @naturefleur2062
      @naturefleur2062 Год назад

      @@savedbygrace6108 I have, thanks for asking.
      I’ve watched every episode of every season, every special, and all the Counting On episodes. I’m very familiar with the shows.
      I appreciate what TLC chose to show, and it seemed so uplifting and encouraging on the surface, but if you have educated yourself about IBLP and how deep the Duggar family was in it, their real teachings teach submission and subservience, and frown on any kind of conflict or boundary setting. The children are not allowed to speak up to their parents or older male siblings. The children were pressured into “behaving perfectly” in order to feel any measure of safety. They are very much coerced by fear and shame. Jinger wrote about this in her book. I recommend listening/reading it to learn more from her perspective.
      Shiny Happy People shows this more, as well, and if you were to look beneath the surface, you’ll see the ways seemingly well meaning people can have a profoundly damaging effect on children by using their children to gain popularity within their church culture and then compelling their children to keep their pain, trauma and other feelings and needs quiet. This is abuse.
      You also may not be aware, but the Duggar parents enabled their son to be around the siblings he abused after the abuses took place. The sisters never received appropriate counseling. Even when Josh was being tried, and eventually convicted of possession of child p*rnogrpaphy, they didn’t protect their daughter-in-law, daughters or grandchildren. They prioritized Josh so they could keep some semblance of a reputation intact.
      Sometimes adults may seem nice, but when anyone chooses to avoid accountability and instead fixate on making sure their reputation remains spotless, a lot of harm occurs to those who they overlook in the process of ensuring and securing their own position. This is wrong.
      Jill also wrote a book recently. She said in doing so, she felt she reclaimed her voice. When abusers are prioritized, victims fall silent and lose the sense that speaking up is possible or would even matter. The strength it took for these sisters to speak out wasn’t what they gained from their family life, it was despite what they experienced in their family life. This is the reality that Jill and Jinger themselves have publicly spoken about. I trust them more than anyone else’s opinion about how “nice” their upbringing was or how some other person thinks they had opportunities to speak up in their family. These women tell a different story, and it’s their own.

    I've only just recently heard about this cult. Although I've watched 19 and counting for years I thought they were part of that quiverful thing. So apparently the Bates family are also part of this strange sect? Which I find so hard to believe because they do seem really happy and can I say normal Christians 🤷‍♀️

    I see so many cases of parents starving and abusing their kids in such a manner that is hard to even think that someone can do that to another person but the duggers daughters go around doing interviews because the parents made them wear long skirts and had rules. I am not defending the parents in any way but to keep talking about how bad they had its ridiculous. They never would've met their husbands. People love to hear them talk trash about their family.

    • @berny67895
      @berny67895 Год назад

      True. I agree with you. Their parents are not saints. I think they wanted to protect their children from worldly sin the way they know how. None of these men would have given them a second look if they were not out on tv by their parents. Jinger and Jill are ungrateful daughters . Especially Jill. They think people love them because they interview them. They just want dirt about their family to get views. Eventually no one will give two cents about these girls. By then they won’t have a family to go back to.

      Exactly! So what if they couldnt do those things? They can now. So do it and hush. Parents are allowed to raise their kids how they see fit. They were not starved, or abused. They turned out pretty well so clearly mom and dad didn't do too bad!

    The Bates children were raised the same way and you don't see them going on tv and complaining about it! So what they couldn't watch tv and had to wear dresses? That is calle life. They clearly turned out just fine so their parents didn't screw that up that badly. They are now old enough to do what they want. So shut up and live your life the way you want. Please allow me to share this powerful message from our Lord. It's from Leviticus 15, and it's so beautiful and thought provoking!
    "When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18 When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
    19 “‘When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.
    20 “‘Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. 21 Anyone who touches her bed will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 22 Anyone who touches anything she sits on will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, they will be unclean till evening.
    24 “‘If a man has sexual relations with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean.
    25 “‘When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. 27 Anyone who touches them will be unclean; they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.
    28 “‘When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the Lord for the uncleanness of her discharge.
    31 “‘You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place,[b] which is among them.’”
    32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who has sexual relations with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.
