We do make mistakes, but that doesn't change who God created us to be.
@robertdouglas8895 We were created in the image of God, but we disobeyed the single rule he gave in the garden, and we fell from that innocence. Only thru Jesus are we brought back into being what God created us to be. So yes, we ARE sinful.

Abide to the COMMAND in 1JOHN 4:1-3/KJV to know where you and the preachers here are identified:
A) The SPIRIT THAT IS OF GOD/PRO-CHRIST (1John 4:2) -- the SAVED.
B) The spirit of antichrist/false prophets (1John 4:3) -- the deceivers/deceived (2John 1:5-7) -- the CONDEMNED.
Years ago I read Chip Ingram's book "God As He Longs For You To See Him." About the attributes of God. It helped me understand that we need God's Justice and Righteousness as much as we need His Mercy and Love. If there is no Love, Christ's death is cruel, and if there is only Love, His death is unnecessary. It really needs to be both. That book really impacted my life.

@@leapedrosa4475 the true God is One…but He is three in one: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It’s something we won’t truly understand until we are with him in heaven. Keep searching… Jeremiah 29:11-13 (in these verses God is primarily speaking to Israel, but we can apply them to us, as well).
@leapedrosa4475 Jesus Christ is God. John 1 says "At the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God and the Word was God." Colossians 2 says all of God's Deity is seen fully in Christ. Hope that helps 😀

I really wanted to discuss "false doctrines" with someone. Let's say you have 5 Christians, that insist they are being led by the Spirit of Truth, however all disagree on which doctrines are false. In otherwords, is it just a matter of opinion.
What authority decides? All would say the Bible, of course, but apparently the Spirit is confused or absent altogether, can we, with common sense & logic conclude that many of us are "not being lead by Him?"

That is not necessarily true. I am currently in a church that loves the NAR, the word of faith movement and even mini of the prosperity preachers. And all of these people I'm talking about read their Bible very consistently They are constantly studying. But , they have absolutely no discernment whatsoever concerning false teachers. They follow after and love them all.
Many on TBN are false teachers spewing a false gospel. Even to the point that some say God's Word is wrong.

It’s easy for me to tell a false teacher. I went to pentecostal church with a friend of mine & all of the women had very long hair, no makeup and Little House on the Prairie dresses. 😂
I have very long hair but had recently cut off several inches but it was still very long but not as long as the other women…
I talked to the pastor afterwards about their doctrine and he explained, no woman will never cut her hair, you’re not saved & going to heaven unless you can speak in tongues etc. I told him that he needs to go back & learn bcz that’s false teaching. We went back & forth with scripture and I made sense out of his confusion but at the end we agreed to disagree. I of course never went back. I told my friend about their doctrine and he never went back either.
The craziest thing was he told me that he use to believe like me until he learned.
He is the associate pastor so he got hired on & if he didn’t compromise on his initial core beliefs he wouldn’t be able to keep his job. Money 💵 talks for some people…
1) The BIBLICAL PRO-CHRIST/TRUE CHRISTIANS are identified in 1 JOHN 4:2/KJV.
2) The BIBLICAL antichrist/false Christians are identified in 1 JOHN 4:3/KJV.
Pentecostal? This is not Pentecostal doctrine. It would be good if you could identify them, because most Pentecostal Churches are nothing like that. I say some, because Pentecostalism has grown to nearly 500 million and has become amorphous. There are always rogue churches out there, as there are in every denomination.
If you take the time, you will find ALL denominations are corrupted in some way and use man-made doctrines to some extent. For now, all we can do is find a church that is best suited to us and does not teach sinful practices. Teaching that women are not to cut hair is not a sin but you are correct in that he teaches speaking in tongues which is sinful for him to do that. So those are 2 good reasons not to go. One is faulty teaching and the other is false teaching. Since all denominations do have faulty teachings, we should stay away from those that have false teaching however. (note the difference faulty verses false). So we need to understand scripture and be able to recognize man-made doctrines within the church. As I say not all man-made doctrines are evil (such as don't cut your hair) but there are some that are evil and in the church to watch out for (such as speaking in tongues).

1) Taking the TEST/COMMAND in 1 JOHN 4:1-3/KJV accurately is the easiest way in identifying the TRUE DOCTRINE and the SAVED/"BELOVED" of the LORD (1 John 4:1-2) and the false doctrines and the condemned (1Joh 4:3) who are many in the world (1John 4:1).
2) Unfortunately, none in the world ever care at all in taking the said so simple and easy TEST/COMMAND as proven in this article and also from the COMMENTS and REPLIES here -- proof that the world is identified in 1JOHN 4:3 -- having the spirit of antichrist/false prophets (1John 4:3) and the deceiver/deceived (2John 1:5-7).

Although original sin is a biblical truth, I don't think the thief on the cross next to Jesus had a concept of that when he simply acknowledged he was a sinner in need of a savior and turned to Jesus to save him. He didn't even say what we would call a sinners prayer. Jesus simply saw his heart of repentance and that was enough for Jesus to say, "Today you will be with me in paradise!' God's desire to save people is way more merciful than we think because He looks on the heart! Jesus plus nothing!
The sinners prayer most use is not biblical.
Read your Bible daily & listen to the Holy Spirit, He will let you know when someone is preaching false gospels.

So timely. Our little town's charismatic church is connected with Jamie Englehart and that is what they are in to. Pray as we have retired back here and need to address this. He preaches, Hell is not eternal. all are born children of God, address the good not the sin and people will change.

People who ask why God in the old testament can kill so many people, they don't read about the unbelievable wickedness that people did, even sacrificing their children to idols.

No matter what 'deeper meanings' you believe you see in a scripture, it NEVER contradicts the face-value meaning of the verse(s) you are 'interpreting.' Let The Bible speak for itself.

Even though it’s difficult I keep faith because I know God is real. I trust in you Father and keep faith even as I struggle to take care of my children. The past two years have been hard on me. I’m a single mom. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus. Both of my sons are autistic and to be honest Heavenly Father I’m so overwhelmed. I’m constantly struggling financially to buy groceries and struggling to pay my rent and now that I’m home schooling my sons I’m struggling to buy their school supplies. I want to give up. But even in hard times I know I must choose to have faith. No matter our struggle, we can turn to God. He knows us personally and can give us strength to overcome our challenges. I Trust in YOU LORD PLEASE HEAR MY PRAYERS!

1) My query is in obeisance to the TEST/COMMAND in 1JOHN 4:1-3/KJV -- a COMMAND to the "BELOVED (1John 4:1-2)" of the LORD so as to identify and NOT to be deceived by antichrist/false prophets (1John 4:3) who are many in the world you're in (1John 4:1).

Identification of proper Gospels requires use of proper hermeneutics, theological understanding of bibliology, Soteriology, logic with clear exegesis.

Sin does separate us from God . God hates sin of any kind and not only will it separate us from God but will send you to hell. Once we repent of our sin the Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside of us and makes us not want to sin , but live a righteous and holy life that’s pleasing to God. I’m not saying we as Christians will never fall short and never sin again, but we definitely will no longer have a willingness to live in willful sin .

When you take it upon yourself to point out "false teachers," you are setting yourself up as the one who isn't. What makes you the one who is always right., and everyone else is wrong?
Everyone's words/accusations, whatever can be tested to see if what they're saying is true or not...whether it be the words of someone preaching God's word or the accusations of those saying this or that is false... each can be tested. Scripture tells us to mark and avoid false teachers..those who preach a false Gospel, stray from sound doctrine, etc. In order to mark and avoid, we test the teaching, weigh it against Scripture, and make a determination, and if the determination is that its false, we are to mark and avoid. So, false teachers can be identified and should be. It's not biblical or true in all cases for a blanket statement/accusation to be laid upon the one calling out the false teaching..saying that by calling it/them out, they're basically saying that they're always right and everyone else is wrong. The fact is: real, true false teachers really are wrong much of the time bc they "..don't understand Spiritual things." They don't and can't "...rightly [divide] the Word of Truth" bc they are not even God's true shephereds/heralds/proclaimers of His Word; they're hirlings. They don't understand or teach it rightly bc they lack His wisdom to discern and teach it rightly, and, if they mess something up and get called out for it, they lack the humility and true devotion to what is written to retract the false teaching and correct themselves with the truth. According to Scripture, His children can and should determine who is and who is not teaching His word rightly.

@dougdaniel9196 If the gospel isn't according to Christ, it is another gospel. Currently, the teaching/message of salvation, is being called the gospel. Why didn't Jesus call it the gospel in John 3:16? Because he stated what the gospel is, without ambiguity, in Mark 1:14-15, which is why it's exactly the same AFTER his death, and by Paul in Acts 28:31.
While the message of salvation is nice, it still is NOT the gospel as taught by Christ.

For eternal salvation, we repent of unbelief of Who Christ is and what He, alone, accomplished to save us.
Some Bible translations and many people have added the words “of your sins” to the word repent, in the context of salvation. So, by adding a condition to the gospel of Christ, they’re creating a corrupted/false gospel that says you must stop sinning, in addition to BELIEVING on Christ, in order to be eternally saved.

This will be a lengthy post. To begin, it must be understood that the Bible consists of 66 books by about 40 different authors over a period of about 1500 years. Why is that important? Because of its consistent cohesive message. The Bible is a supernatural document. It literally originates from the mind of God Himself. Scripture-all of scripture is described as being God-breathed. All of those 40 authors wrote as if it was God himself writing.
Prophesy is the great proof of the Bible’s authenticity. The following is from Isaiah 46: 9-11. Note that its God himself declaring that prophecy should be considered as proof.
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.”
He is saying that He will fulfill prophecy. Please note “declaring the end from the beginning” as I will return to that later. He says at the end (paraphrasing) “I have said it will happen before it does and I will ensure that indeed it happens.”
Once we realize that prophecy gets fulfilled we won’t have an excuse for not believing…..pretty serious stuff.
Then consider Isaiah 48:5. Again its God speaking in the God-breathed manner described above:
“I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.”
See how He is saying you won’t have an excuse? Prophecy is unique to the Bible. Other “religious” books (Christianity is not religious) don’t contain prophecy. And as we will see these aren’t cheap late night TV predictions for 10 bucks a minute!
Again another example of God declaring that He is the author of prophecy. Isaiah 42:9…
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
He wants everyone to understand the importance and the significance of prophecy fulfilled.
The Bible consists of about 28% prophecy and most has been fulfilled already. The 2 major topics of prophecy are Israel and its messiah-Jesus.
Before I give you a couple of examples, I would have you consider the following to keep in the back of your mind as you read. The apostle Paul was an arch anti-christian jewish pharisee who hated said Christians. Persecuted them at every opportunity in an effort to stamp them out. However, he met and interacted with the resurrected Christ and it completely changed him to become Christianity’s greatest promoter. Surely that change is meaningful. Likewise with the disciples. With the exception of John, all met with horrible deaths BECAUSE of what they KNEW and EXPERIENCED first hand. They were first person witnesses of the resurrected Jesus and instead of denying him they chose to suffer death. That is powerful.

I will have you recall the “I declare the end from the beginning….” This has many prophetical applications. Some still to be fulfilled but the following is an absolutely stunning fulfillment that is beyond coincidence and in my opinion clearly shows the supernatural origin of God’s word.
The 1st 5 books of the Bible are called the Torah. ….By the way, I have no idea what your level of interest or knowledge is so I am assuming that it is limited for the purpose of these posts…. The Torah was written by Moses as confirmed by Jesus’ own words in the synoptic gospels (matthew, mark,luke,john). Obviously written in excess of 1000 years in advance of Jesus. Moses wouldn’t have had any notion or idea about Jesus and God’s plans regarding His offering of salvation to humanity. No idea.
Also note as you consider what I am about to show you, that today Jews obviously reject Jesus and at the same time venerate the Torah as God’s word. Keep that in the back of your mind…..
Genesis was written in Hebrew. The first word of Genesis transliterated from Hebrew is “Bereshit”. We would read that in english as “In the beginning”. In Hebrew it is spelled Bet, Resh, Alef, Shin, Yod, Tav and that would be read from right to left. I am about to show you that Isaiah 46:9-11 has fulfillment in this very word. This single hebrew word that the jewish rejecters of Jesus venerate today as the very word of God contains God’s now completed end plan of salvation in the very same Jesus jews have rejected.
Is what I am about to show you coincidence? That will be for you to decide. The answer is as obvious as it gets to me.
Let’s consider the Hebrew spelling. As we do this, understand that the Hebrew alphabet prescribes specific meanings to each letter. And not only word meanings but there are pictographs associated with each as well that convey meaning. Hebrew is very unique in this regard.
BET/RESH…BR….as in “bar”…..as in “son”.
ALEF……means “God”.
SHIN…..means “destroy”.
YOD……infers “hand” or “arm” as in “of God”.
TAV…….Ancient hebrew pictograph is a “cross”.
Thus, in the very first word of the Torah that the Jesus rejecting Jews venerate as the word of God lies God’s end plan of mankind’s salvation through that same Jesus fulfilling God “declaring the end from the beginning”:
THE SON OF GOD DESTROYED BY HIS OWN HAND ON THE CROSS.
Isaiah prophecy fulfilled 1st word.
Jesus and salvation in the 1st word.
Written well in excess of Jesus…..coincidence? I submit that there is precisely zero chance of that.

I think Christians needed to define what is sin? Most people equated sin for criminal acts. So! One does not breaking any laws I am good!
The fact that Kirk says at about the 10 minute mark that a sign of a false gospel is when someone says "Faith plus" and he mentions baptism. Kirk is pedaling a false gospel. Baptism is a tenant of what Jesus and the apostles taught. Romans 6 & 7 have to do with water baptism Romans 8 has to do with the Holy Spirit after water baptism. Hebrews 6 mentions the elementry teachings of the Christ. It also says they are foundational. Repentence from dead works, faith toward God, doctrine of Baptisms, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead and the eternal judgment. That's what Peter, Paul and. The other apostles preached and taught.
If a person is going to point to Ephesians 2:8 to tell me baptism is not a component of salvation I would suggest you do a little homework. The audience of Ephesians are the people in Acts 19:1-7. They were water baptized in the name of Jesus and then they received the Holy Spirit when Paul laid hands on them. He made sure they were saved by them receiving the Holy Spirit.
Another false doctrine is that when a person believes they automatically receive the Holy Spirit. That is not taught in scripture.

Another piece we see in Scripture is when Jesus talks about Hell. Matthew 25:
41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
See this is the bar for eternal Hell and that bar is high. We have to ask ourselves what qualifies Satan and his angels for Hell?
We know Satan and his angels were there at creation Job 38 and have been before the Throne Job 1. We know from Scripture that all Satan does is lie. He knows the truth but willfully and for 6000+ years now has lied and deceived.
We have to ask why isn't being chained up in the deepest part of Hades enough?
2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to Tartarus (deepest part of Hades) and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
Revelation 20 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.
See Hades isn't enough for these beings not to change. As soon as they are released on the world they simply pick up where they left off. This is why eternal Hell exists. Ot's for those who will never repent, never turn to the LORD. As the movie Dark Knight puts it, "some people just want to watch the world burn." Some relish and gain pleasure from the death and pain, the torture and destruction they inflict. Eternal Hell is for those the deepest part of Hades won't bring to repentance.
We see that the conclusion of someones eternal destination isn't made at their mortal death in 2 Peter 3
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (This comes on Judgment day)
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
I don't believe in Universalism that all beliefs lead to GOD. However, all beliefs strive to know the truth. That there is more beyond us. Now faced with the truth to know which faith is true, by standing before the LORD, how many people do you think would reject the LORD? Some sure, many, maybe, but far less than what's think because the LORD's plans for people extend beyond our mortal deaths. We are ok with people dying in ignorance thinking the LORD sends the to an eternal hell at their mortal death. That's not ok with the LORD and it isn't biblical. Take care.
It’s biblical truth that one must be born again to enter the Kingdom. We are born again (born of God) ONLY by God’s grace through FAITH in Christ Jesus~~Who He is and what He alone accomplished to save us. (He is God the Son. Fully God and fully man. We have a real threat to true Biblical Christianity when we look to the Mormons, LDS. When I go out witnessing, I just can't begin speaking of Jesus , I must ensure that we are speaking of Jesus of the Bible, not Book of Mormon. The Mormons consider themselves Christians, and we must counter all that they share about the counterfeit Jesus with TRUTH. We are to defend the Bible, and at the same time bring them to true salvation.
Did you know the book of Deuteronomy is actually called "WORDS" in the Hebrew scrolls? If Jesus is the WORD made flesh, maybe you should consider he is the WORD of God spoken in the front of your Bible. Read Deuteronomy 13, and make sure YOUR preaching God's WORD. Jesus OBEYED God's Laws perfectly, and said FOLLOW ME. We can't follow a perfectly OBEDIENT Savior by being disobedient.

His answer was repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost now that scripture is the next to 38 and that was his answer to the question of what they must do to receive salvation from the works of Calvary, because the whole purpose of repenting and being baptized, and receiving the promise of the Holy Spirit, is the answer to the question of how people are born again of water and spirit, which Jesus said no one will enter into the kingdom of God, unless you’re born again of water in spirit he did not say all you have to do is trust in me to enter into the kingdom, so the gospel message it’s not just saying I trusting God I trust in Jesus know that’s what faith is, but faith requires obedience to the plan of salvation . Just one more note baptism was introduced by John the Baptist, who was the forerunner to introduced Jesus Christ and he’s the one that taught that you must be baptized for salvation. It’s in the book of Luke and Mark.

" Jesus just described the good works God has prepared for us!

So right away anyone who writes there own religious beliefs are teachings is accursed? Who gets to decide what is the true Gospel? the Christian world is daily at each others throats condemning each other for doctrinal differences while the world rolls their eyes and they want nothing to do with church. Denominations preach against the other denominations and say they are going to hell
It sounds like Alisa's gospel is an evangelical party line that is based on a fairly narrow interpretation of scripture based on a pre-conceived bias. For example she spoke of down playing sin nature and sin separating us from God and our identity as sinners. Trinitarian theology which for the most part is what the first few hundred years of the church believed is almost the opposite of that. According to Paul we all live and move and have our being in Christ and are all offspring of God through the resurrection of Christ. The experience of salvation that has already been accomplished for us comes from becoming aware of and believing our identity in Christ and receiving our inheritance in earth as it is in heaven.
She also spoke of Jesus offering salvation to us. This is also backwards, as can be seen in the OT atonement, which was a type or shadow of the new. The atonement and it effectiveness was imputed to the entire nation apart from their believing or participation. It all hinged on the sacrifice and the High Priest, both of which Jesus was and is.
I think Alisa has a good heart and a lot of good information but her theology is more in line with Augustine and the Roman judicial system, than it is with first century apostolic teaching and belief.
