@Alex Lin imo I feel VAS makes a superior product in general. At the end of the day it’s all about the end user. I prefer the ion v2 and I just tried the minion which is great as well. Will you get better signal, idk it is hard to say. I have lots of videos using Mr. Steele antenna combo (almost all videos) I believe the day I installed his antenna combo I solved my issues with my video feed. Worth the money imo.

Good idea with the microfiber towel. I use the rectangle piece of foam that comes in the box of a new lipo. It fits perfectly over the goggle lens and stays in place.
VAS Antennas are amazing! I will get myself a TBS Fusion soon too. I'm still amazed by the quality of my internal aomway commander module tho! But it's time for something new so the TBS Fusion will probably be a great Module :)

am I understanding correctly that with those 2 antennas (and the way the way you position them) your goggles won't be able to receive video signal when your drone is right above you?
I picked some attitude v6's for like $240 used, and I enjoy flying tiny whoops. There are still uses for analog but the new prices are going to have to start dropping to keep people buying. I never would have spent $389 for these.
I really wish DJI would add audio as an option for the air unit, it's still more expensive than I'm willing to spend but it's a bummer that there's no way to use audio with it.
That is exactly what I do with my HDO2's as well, I just use the lens cloth that comes with Fatsharks though, always worried about getting scratched lenses.
Really cool vid and wow - that fusion module is dope! I was always wondering why your analog signal is so consitantly good even if you hide your drone behind tons of concrete... Did you ever test the orqa fpv.one? What made you stick with the HDO2? I'd also be more interested in that Quad-Audio. Once my quad is up and away - not hearing the motors and props at all is quite a bit confusing for me - this feedback is quite helpful to gauge how much throttle you're actually punching into them and if something spins incorrectly you just simply hear it directly. I can totally see why you want to have this in your quad.

covered my analog goggles with TBS stickers just to keep it oldschool, but i might be installing the air unit soon to use my DJI v2 goggles. i'm never going to give up on real life but a flying deep fake is an easy blue pill to swallow. i needed some quality dioptics so i figured why not if it can do both with a module. your fatsharks still look very comfy tho. to put things in perspective i just spent 1000 on input/output over the winter and my best quad is a souped up eachine wizard. I got the tracer setup and DJI video finally , with your blessing.
👍👍Agreed. I like having audio at critical point during my flights to know how much prop rpm is being generated for an indication of needing more or less power at a given time. Sure I can fly without it but it's like driving a real car remotely and not being able to hear the engine to know when to down or up shift for turns or powering up a hill until the sound hits me half a second later. My Stingy V2 didn't have one and it REALLY bugged me.
Loving that spectrum analyser, possibly one of the handiest things I’ve seen in a while, just wondering, as I know you’re all about keeping it simple, why does it highlight the channels with most interference? Would it not be simpler to show the best channels for the environment?
@@Drift-fpv depends what he means by cheaper. I have gone analogue aswell as the cameras/vtx/antennas are all currently dirt cheap compared with digital. And good goggles like orqa and fatshark have hdmi in which allow for newer digital systems to be used as add ons. No reason to be locked into 1 ecosystem :)

Orqa are also entering the frame and likely to have a modular system. Oled twin panels v box goggle dji lcd. Im happy to wait!

Wow. I am an EE that always uses RF 90 Deg SMA adaptors at work. I recently bought a cheap batch of them on Ebay and they have been popping off when the techs tighten them, and they use a SMA Torque wrench. I have been tossing them out. Never had the issue with the more expensive brands. But hey, thanks for you trick on soldering them at the joint. Duh, never that of doing that, I will do that with the ones I have left.

I almost bought the older crossfire unit for my first quad and radio and since there isn't alot of ppl I watch I always seem to be just days late with purchasing the last model stuff haha.. so I ordered the new tbs unit and im basically building your setup because it seems to work well and I don't like changing around when it comes to stuff like this haha I guess call it old fashioned but when I find stuff that works I hate when they quit making it and then the newer model sucks haha :) thanks :)

That Fusion analyzer is very cool. I only fly DJI, so if Ethix/TBS made a stand alone device to test RF in flying spots that might be pretty cool.

You don't need the discharge rate or a lipo, you can power it with 2 or 3 18650 and you'll be saving you the all the problems lipos give.

Sometimes there are too many “best” options. Aka a clean environment so worst is more feasible
