    "Architects & interior designers are heavily underpaid"........ The truth has been spoken. Here in India architects get peanuts. Fresher architect gets around ₹12,000/- -15,000/- while in cities like Mumbai even minimum rent is ₹10,000/- per person.

I am also an immigrant architect., graduated maybe even before you were born LOL and haven’t practiced in 20 years but I am looking at a way go back to architecture, to build a portfolio and bring my skill sets up to date. I also grew up with a strong artistic upbringing as you did and I have sold my art at a very small scale. I think so should give Etsy a try.

    Hi Henry, Thank you for sharing your videos. I have a friend that has a small construction company. I make for him some construction plans for two decks (12'X12') and on small addition around (20'X12') the proposed of the drawings was pull theirs construction permit from the county. So, I get the construction permit for this small projects. Now some other carpenters are requesting me the same services. This can become a side income. I wondering, How should charge for this services ?. Plans + pulling permit. ( for this small project an Architect license is not required. ) Thank you.

    • @HenryGao
      @HenryGao  Год назад +1

      This is hard to advise on! My suggestion is to charge a project rate with profit baked in. Only you know how much time you need to complete a project, which is always more than you budget for, therefore having some wiggle room is recommended.
