Did you have any clearance issues with the R1 universal and the tempered glass side panel? On NZXT's website, it says it only supports up to 164mm in CPU cooler height and the R1 is 168.3mm on Cryorig's website
Redrum this is the question I have been waiting for! The answer is no :) However when you close the tempered glass panel it is slightly touching it but I have managed mount the glass.
What do you mean you "managed mount the glass"? I want to replicate this build, its my first time making a computer but I hope I don't run into hard issues that would be too hard for me to solve.
P o p p i n q it's probably easy to install, if you had to force it on at all it could break. Look into an AIO CPU cooler, no clearance issues and much better performance.
@@Rohit-ly2jn ; Well, I think there are a few reasons. First and foremost is PRICE. The Dell Optiplex MT was a super popular basic business Micro Tower (MT) and there are now a ton of them around on the used market. You can make a cheap “super budget” gaming rig out them pretty easily just by adding a GTX 1050Ti or 1650. The stock 290w power supply can (usually) handle these video cards as long as you don’t have too many hard drives, etc. I personally acquired several of these for an unbeatable price. I cleaned them up, added a 1050Ti, upgraded the Ram to 16Gb, replaced the HD with an SSD, upgraded the OS to Win10 (for free), and then sold them for a profit. I saved one for myself tho. I had a GTX 970 laying around that wouldn’t fit in the Optiplex MT case so I used an old gaming tower case and performed the surgery. Obviously I had to upgraded the power supply to run the GTX 970. It works very well for a budget rig. So I guess you could say it is situational. If you are strapped for cash and need a basic PC that can do 1080p/60 (settings will vary) for under $200 US, these aren’t a bad option if you know what your doing.
Just FYI, even if you do block the two slots below the graphics card, you can still use the x16 or x8 slot at the very bottom. There is technically no reason why you can't put a x1 card into a "larger" slot. The slot may physically be a x16 slot with electrical connections for x8 or x4 usually. I've done this before and it works fine.
Is this common knowledge? When built my 1st pc & doing research a couple months ago I didn't see anyone mention this until I seen a video explaining what pcie slots were.

True, I use it as well. Too bad that this tech channel guy not even not knowing it, he even tells to buy dongle and waste our money 😂
The problem is that I own an MSI B450M Gaming Plus that doesn't have the x16 or x8 at the bottom. I only have 2 x1 PCI-e slot at the bottom of the bigger slot so I may have some clearance issues. My GPU is the Gigabyte 5600XT Windforce OC (the dual fan version).
@@lewsee5562 True. Obviously, it depends on your motherboard configuration. My comment was specifically to the motherboard he has shown in the video. If your board is different, you will have to adjust accordingly.

This is a very nice build. I just bought this case and it's amazing, I'd recommend plugging in the header cables (USB 2.0, F_PANEL, HD AUDIO, etc) before mounting the motherboard if possible, especially if you have premounted the CPU cooler.
Man that MSI H270m mobo looks nice. I really hope I can get this in UK. I've never built in white or in a small form factor before. You got me pumped to do a sexy small form factor build.
My first two pc builds (one for my grandpa the other for a friend) we're Micro ATX. I ended up building a ITX system for myself and I think you can find a happy medium for size and performance depending on the board you buy.
One last thing to consider: when you're limiting yourself to a MicroATX motherboard for the purpose of having a smaller PC, make sure the case is actually measurably smaller than say a small ATX case. The fractal design define mini C is not that much smaller than some small ATX cases but now you're limiting your PCIe options for only a few inches in every direction
multi gpu sucks anyway. don't care at all. my 1080 ti is fast enough. will replace with 1180 ti at some point. single gpu is far smoother with lower frametimes than multi and you don't have to think about game support or constantly updating drivers and profiles. mini c is much smaller than most atx cases, yeah...
Loving the white/black theme; suggestion, you should probably get a cable comb and it will make it look cleaner. Also, what RGB elements are you using?
Don't forget about the rog strix z270i and z370i, I've used both and both have built in WiFi but only 1 pcie x16 slot and 2 dimm slots. However you can still use 2 16gb dimm a little pricey but still possible to have 32gb of ram on a mini itx, worth it. Good content I'm definitely a fan.
I was worried there for a second that there was not enough clearance for his big hands to reach for the CPU power cable to reach in the upper left corner. One of the toughest bitch to plug into my computer in my first build when the CPU cooler is damn big.
the push button on that graphics card is not to max out the fans but it is to buffed out the memory of the graphics card, giving it a little bost on fps while on game.

First build I did, didn't know what sfx psu meant, so now I rock a 550 watt sfx psu in my micro atx case. I needed an adapter to fit the PSU to the case. Was an extra $20
the biggest problem is you must choose the m atx case that limited because if you put m-atx MB in ATX case the front panel and fan cable management will be screwed.

Hey here's something i learned yesterday: The H200i + Corsair's SFX 600 PSU don't play well together because half the bloody cables are about 2 cm too short, leaving you having to buy a bunch of annoyingly long extenders.
