no joke. i’m playing ssb goku and i have an airpod in. i was listening to the part about the dash jump and literally i did it on my first try!!! let’s gooooooo
Honestly… I’ve watched so many videos on this and none have AT ALL helped. Your video is the first video that actually taught me how to do it. Thank you! You are seriously a legend.
im still having problems with end part of the rejump but i have the first part down, ive been trying for a long time to learn, i can land it one in a while, but it has helped me get the first part down! thanks allot!!!
No problem man, keep practicing and you’ll get it more and more, just gotta get used to it and you’ll get it all the time in no time you’ll see ^.^ good luck
I haven't tried this out yet, but after getting back into the game after 2+ years of not playing and seeing all these rejumps that I have trouble with, this video seems really helpful on paper, regardless of if the tips here still work or not after the latest patch I believe you've done a great job of dumbing it down for people to learn more easily, good stuff!
Hopefully this covers the important points and helps some of you out :) Here's the notation for anyone wondering : 5M -> 2M -> 5H -> Delay Superdash -> 66 -> JM -> 669 -> J.LL -> J.2H -> J.LLL (End the combo with whatever gives you sliding or call an assist beyond this point)
@@Say_King77 same notation regardless, the L's just refer to light attack, M's = mediums and H=heavies. The number are the inputs of your D-Pad corresponding to a keypad, so like this: 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 so for example 5h is just a standing heavy. 236H however would be a quarter circle forward heavy. Hopefully that makes sense for you ^.^
YOU SOLVED MY PROBLEM THANKS SO MUCH. I did it it was the dashing jump that was messing me up thanks so much. Also I like the your delay super dash set up I now will give you my sub.
So sorry about the small audio cut at around 2:08, apologies to all headphone users - not a pleasant noise I know, I'm not sure why it's there, it wasn't there in editing so my apologies for that.
well, while I doubt any rank up you gained was because of this rejump guide, since that's down to you and not me, it's still nice to know this helped you with your rejumps :)
I've got two questions in mind, 1. How and when do i buffer m after the 66 because sometimes the jm does not come out at all even thought the output is there, do i need to wait for the dash animation or is it just game error? 2. When ever I finally connect everything it always turns into a blue combo after 669-jL, is it because the enemy is still to high or is it just slow timing?
The second one is probably slow timing, as for the 66 buffer, I tend to do it right as the super dash is about to connect, and tbh the jm should pretty much auto time itself, I’ve never really had a problem with that, as long as your air dash comes out so should your jm, at least in my experience. To speed up your dash jump to avoid a blue combo I recommend doing the input as 69 jL, not 669. The reason being when your input 9, it’s a forward jump, aka it’s a second forward input after the first 6 input, and it jumps at the same time, meaning you get your dash jump in essentially one less input. Other than that I’d recommend turning on the dummy reset in training so you can see just how much you need to speed up, rather than continuing to do blue combos as you won’t see how fast it resets and how tight the link is compared to how you’re doing it ^.^ good luck
Yeah, took me a lil while to realise about it myself, all I knew was the jump looking different at first y’know, anyways, always happy to know this video helped someone
Not one on my channel, but it should essentially be the same as this, just hold the SD button once you superdash and carry on, should work the same as holding s
No worries, are you buffering the air dash as the SD connects? Might just be you’re waiting for the super dash to hit, THEN doing your air dash input. Buffering the input for an air dash should work ^.^
Chances are you just gotta work on the dash jump, the superjump isn’t really necessary, just easier for those who can do it. I’d also make sure that the characters you’re trying it with can actually do the standard rejump, good luck
Honestly you might just find it easier with some characters at first, my first rejump was with ssj vegeta and 21, I really struggled with the goku’s at first and managed to get cell’s down after some time, it just takes practice and time and then you won’t find that you struggle with anyone in particular when doing it ^.^
I can't do 669 very fast... I can't do rejump for this thing... Any advice for learning? 3 months I tryed When I landing I try 669 but enemy is too high or I m too slow... I don't know... But I can't rejump in this game... Help.
Don’t worry, I can’t quite remember if I put it in the video, but the input of 9 includes 6 (least it does on a dpad) so it’s essentially the same as an instant air dash, but flipped. When you IAD you do 96 to jump and dash as fast as possible. It works because you don’t have to input 6 twice, only once, since 6 is a part of the 9 input if that makes any sense. So instead of doing 669, just do 69, flipping your IAD input and it should work ^.^
Also, you can buffer the inputs to an extent since you’re doing j.m until you land, during the j.m nothing else can be input while you fall, allowing you to buffer the dash and jump input, hope this helps :)
@@Shmixy1 thanks for answer. I keep training... And I will keep training... For me is very complex to understand where I wrong. I do H, SD delay, 66jm, land... Perfect... So after I try 669L or 69L but the result is the same: the puppet in training mode escape from the combo... Seems like he's too high or I rejump 69 slow because I never... Never... Catch him after land... And in this moment are 5 hours I tried. Play with controller but rejump is the only things in this game I can't do it. Thanks for the advice I keep try. P. S. I try even hold SD for rejump high but puppet escape always.
Well if you can’t do it I wouldn’t worry about it, sometimes it just clicks randomly and you figure it out. For me it was really easy to get it with ssj vegeta and cell, but I could t get it with others characters, and even then it took me months of actually knowing rejumps existed before I could even get it like 1 out of 5 times y’know, then I went back to it after another month or so and…it just clicked and I could do them with some practice ^.^ nothing to get stressed over if you find it annoying, just take a break from them :)
just wait for the zoom in animation of the smash effect to wear off, then super dash. There's plenty of wiggle room to learn the timing so don't stress of you don't get it immediately :)
Hm maybe try doing the jump over big body characters that I mentioned in training mode, it’s just to practice the input of 6->9 (you don’t have to double input the 6, because the 6 counts as part of the 9 input when you jump forward). Other than that since the j.m is done falling to the ground, the dash jump input can be buffered. Good luck! :)
Uhh, I think at first I was trying but wasn’t so good at the input, after a few weeks of not trying it, hopped in to practice and something just kind of clicked for me y’know, obviously some characters I found it easier with, ssj vegeta being one of them, but to get them consistently probably a couple late night sessions ^.^
If it helps, the input 669 is actually just 69, the extra 6 is part of the input of 9, since 9 is a forward jump. So the input becomes forward, forward jump, which will give you a dash jump without ever having to microdash on the ground if that makes sense. Basically you don’t gotta double input your forward motion, and you should get it more consistently, tho if you feel the need to do that you can always buffer the dash before you land since you’re still in the j.m input til you land. Hope this all makes sense!
Hmm, maybe it’s to do with the delayed super dash after 5h? Vegito is a character who delays his SD slightly more than others I feel, although I think it’s just a visual thing on my side xD maybe try playing around with super dash timings tho, lemme know how it goes ^.^
give it time, I didn't exactly get it on the first go either, took me months to realise how it even worked properly and even then weeks of practicing it in between other stuff just to be able to get it like 4/10 times. Once you get used to it tho you'll be able to do it almost every time ^.^ just gotta be patient with it, it's a weird muscle memory to learn so y'know, don't be surprised if it takes a lil while :)
@@Shmixy1 we both know why you like thinking of it as 69 😏 Lol seriously tho, thanks! I slowed your video down to figure out what I was doing wrong, and basically I was inputting the microdash too late. I saw you doing it while the jM was hitting, tried it and it worked! It's still about a 20% success rate but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks again 😊
I know she has one with the J.h -> 5L link, not sure about a 'normal' one, if I said Kefla doesn't have a rejump I probably meant it's different from this universal one I was showing ^.^ and I wasn't gonna include each individual rejump y'know, least not for this video
that's okay if you can't get it immediately, if you can at least keep it down to like a micro dash almost and then the jump then you're getting really close, just keep trying
It took me months to get the hang of it if it helps, obviously not trying it straight, just here and there occasionally until it kinda just clicked, but don’t let it stress you out y’know

Bardock has double hitting JM but you can cancel the 2nd hit with JL to rejump
