    Great video both for the newcomer and a refresher for the more "experienced collector". Your collection of watches throughout are beautiful vintage gems. Each omega is nicer than the next and the Lecoultre Powermatic with it's two tone dial is superb. Enjoyable and informative!. Thanks.

    Great points and every one of your demonstration watches is a complete gem! I’m always amazed at the vibrancy of some of the 30s and 40s watches - they are perfect demonstrations of form following function and vice versa. True time travelling pieces! Many thanks.

    Omega Enthusiast : THE BEST RUclips channel about vintage watches. I would add one more tip : if you have the least doubt about a vintage watch, do not buy it.

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 года назад

      Thanks for the tips! But majority of people do not know how a correct watch should look like. Which is why it is important to do some research first or buy from someone who knows what he is selling.

    How can one tell if a watch comes with a tensioner ring around the outer dial? And that is missing, would it drastically reduce the watch value?

    • @TimelessHistoryChannel
      @TimelessHistoryChannel  3 года назад

      Firstly, you'll need to know about the model whether it originally came with or without the metal tension. If it comes with a metal tension ring you'll be able to see the ring around the dial. Without this ring or have the wrong size ring does not really de-value the watch. But it is bad for the watch as the ring is there to protect moisture from entering the watch, and it is there to securely lock the crystal tightly against the case.

    Could you make a video on time only watches? The date window really disrupts the symmetry of a dress watch

      Not really. But you can apply the same information towards any brand name out there. The condition of the movement is very important.
