I loved this recipe! I made the breadsticks without xanthan gum and except the fact I couldn’t twist them cause they would break (expected), they turned out amazing and I will be making more of these soon. The taste is surprisingly bread-like. Thank you!

Great recipe. I tried the coconut flour version (my brand had 22g carbs per 100g), and used extra virgin olive oil at all points of your recipe. Opted to automate the garlic-parsley oil step in my electric mini-chopper, whilst hand-kneading the dough. My oven is a bit hotter than yours, and I turned the sticks half-way through - nice, gentle crust achieved! With the fresh garlic and parsley, this was a truly tasty lunch. Might just try one cup of hot water + 1 tsp cider vinegar next time. Thank you!

Thanks for another great recipe, which helps me overcome the craving for bread. I made a variation with 100 gr of chickpea flour (not roasted) and 1.3 cups of water. I mixed dry spices into the dough (caraway, cumin, garlic and dried coriander) all the rest exactly according to the recipe of the coconut flour / lupine. It's delicious!!! (Slightly after taste of the Xanthan gum ).

Example: Keto Confectionaries Sugar (monk fruit) at 10 bucks a pound when all you have to do is get monk fruit from the bulk bins at the grocer, put it in a small blender with the fine blade, and you got confectionaries sugar. Another overprice product is the Chow. Who in their right mind would pay that price of a little bag of fluff? Thank you. How refreshing.
I am being locked up in Hong Kong because of COVID, keto products in HK is so expensive, to buy from Amazon, I have to pay for expensive postage. Now, I buy some of my keto products from iHerb and fresh ones from local market.

I just bought a 3lb bag at Costco for under $12. And it's the super fine. I bought a membership just for the almond flour. The regular grind at Walmart was the same price for 2lbs. Maybe you can order from Costco.

Yes, that was my experience with buying Almond Flour, which was in my basket for a few months at a relatively affordable price. I was shocked when I saw that the same product went up double the original cost. I had to look around for other brands until I found one that was closer to the price I was looking for. And you are right it is happening with other keto products.

OKAY, I was already subbed, but I really have to give it to you for standing up for what you believe in and encouraging others to do the same. One of my greatest frustrations in life is when we, as humans, recognize that we are being taken advantage of, yet still open our wallets to those who are imposing the unethical/immoral/unjust acts upon us, shaking our heads the entire time. It's always encouraging when someone such as yourself speaks out. It makes others feel less the oddball when they do the same. If I could sub again I would. I'll share instead. Brava! PS: people tend to blame capitalism for this effect, but it isn't the fault of capitalism, it's the fault of the consumers refusing to do the work. Capitalism is brilliant if we do our due diligence. Love your recipes! Tried making your keto crusty buns! It was awesome with peanut butter 😋 These buns are freezer friendly - just need to heat it up in the oven for 15 minutes whenever I have bread cravings. Another recipe that I want to try soon! Thanks for sharing and always take care!
Fantastic recipe! I love your way of doing the breadsticks! If you add the yeast after the water has cooled a bit down ca 37 C you will preserve the active enzymes that convert the sugars to CO2 better fluff :-)
Have you tried using the leftover almonds from making almond milk in a slow juicer since extra fine almond flour is defatted. I know you use the leftovers from soy milk. Was thinking of drying it on low heat then grinding it or using it as is. Just a thought 💭 I think prices shouldn’t change that way unless there’s a shortage in almonds which will be reflected in all other products. I made your fries with Brazil nuts leftovers and it turned out well. Used it straight out of the juicer, just mixed xanthan gum until it formed a dough. It was a earthy because the nuts had some skin on them which I liked. Love your videos and recipes. Keep going xX
Almond price Almonds are a very volatile market. I used to be a cake manufacturer in Oz and the world market price used to go up and down. Eg we have paid from $A65 -$A185 dollars a 10 kg box depending on the seasonal price. The company you mentioned ay have been affected by that situation

So not sure what I did wrong, but these aren’t great and they look nothing like yours! Aah disappointing. On the plus side, my son liked them. I mixed up unblanched almond flour with coconut flour and I added some butter to the olive oil to coat them at the end. Otherwise they are the same... would that make a huge difference???
If you blend ground almonds in the mix the breadsticks would come out more on the crunchy side. Was that what you get? If you want a more bread like texture use coconut flour solely. Glad your son liked it though :))

Hi, here in Portugal we eat lupin as a snack with a beer, in a "terrace" but there is a preparation before and we never eat the " skin".

OKAY, I was already subbed, but I really have to give it to you for standing up for what you believe in and encouraging others to do the same. One of my greatest frustrations in life is when we, as humans, recognize that we are being taken advantage of, yet still open our wallets to those who are imposing the unethical/immoral/unjust acts upon us, shaking our heads the entire time.
It's always encouraging when someone such as yourself speaks out. It makes others feel less the oddball when they do the same.

PS: people tend to blame capitalism for this effect, but it isn't the fault of capitalism, it's the fault of the consumers refusing to do the work. Capitalism is brilliant if we do our due diligence. We can't expect these corporations to do it for us....that would be very stupid on their part.

Love your recipes! Tried making your keto crusty buns! It was awesome with peanut butter 😋 These buns are freezer friendly - just need to heat it up in the oven for 15 minutes whenever I have bread cravings.

Fantastic recipe! I love your way of doing the breadsticks! If you add the yeast after the water has cooled a bit down ca 37 C you will preserve the active enzymes that convert the sugars to CO2 better fluff :-)
Have you tried using the leftover almonds from making almond milk in a slow juicer since extra fine almond flour is defatted. I know you use the leftovers from soy milk. Was thinking of drying it on low heat then grinding it or using it as is. Just a thought 💭
I think prices shouldn’t change that way unless there’s a shortage in almonds which will be reflected in all other products.
I made your fries with Brazil nuts leftovers and it turned out well. Used it straight out of the juicer, just mixed xanthan gum until it formed a dough. It was a earthy because the nuts had some skin on them which I liked.

Almond price
Almonds are a very volatile market. I used to be a cake manufacturer in Oz and the world market price used to go up and down. Eg we have paid from $A65 -$A185 dollars a 10 kg box depending on the seasonal price. The company you mentioned ay have been affected by that situation

Making these as we speak....I’ve been dying to try them since I watched this video the first time. I’m so excited!
So not sure what I did wrong, but these aren’t great and they look nothing like yours! Aah disappointing. On the plus side, my son liked them. I mixed up unblanched almond flour with coconut flour and I added some butter to the olive oil to coat them at the end. Otherwise they are the same... would that make a huge difference???
If you blend ground almonds in the mix the breadsticks would come out more on the crunchy side. Was that what you get? If you want a more bread like texture use coconut flour solely. Glad your son liked it though :))
