I love this project….what i appreciate most is that you hardly ever use fancy gadgets or expensive rulers to do your quilting…being on a very fixed budget that really works for me. Thanks Donna for another fabulous project
I love it when you design your own quilts. Not only are the patterns free, but they are easy to follow. Your step by step instructions are very clear. And of course the quilts you design are beautiful. 🥰❤️🪡🧵
I totally agree!💕
Beautiful pattern. I wish I lived closer to you and your shop. I have the feeling we’d be friends.

Donna I love your runner, it's perfect for fall and so many things!
I made this runner and it was fun and easy. I had never made anything like this in my life but it was explained so well I had no problem following along. Thank you for a fun easy project for absolute beginners!!!
I dont have a quilting community that I can connect with - I work long hours during the week - and your videos are very important to me. Thank you for the videos and the patterns. Your camera person is very good.
Our son James does all the camera work, directing, and editing!
WOW! Donna, these are gorgeous and that is at first glance. And I’m using my iPad which doesn’t give the quilts the justice they deserve when I compare them viewing my laptop. Just woke up so have to hurry out to feed my two horses and I’ll meet you back here to watch. This is definitely dear to my heart as we live in the woods of Maine and our trees are already starting their autumn magical transformation. Looking at my screen, the fabrics seen to have the same soft ‘glow’ that our leaves have right now. Absolutely beautiful and I’m still just moments into this video!
This is just what I needed for a simple fall project! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with all of us!
Correct, Sarah! It's fun, quick, colorful & possibly a new skill to learn. I LOVE "between projects" as they don't break the bank, and allows us to be very creative. I'll be making a few of these for sure ❤️
So lovely, thank you Donna
You are such an excellent teacher. I love your videos 💕💕💕💕
Love your videos and patterns Donna!
I always wanted to learn but thought it would be to difficult quilting ,but thank you for explaining everything the way you do I have made one large box quilt and the prairie table runner my new hobby I love , so thank you Donna and your team x
This is a beautiful design. It would be cute on a throw pillow too🧡Thanks, Donna!!
Yes, a pillow would look great!
I'm loving the leaves along with the fall color grunge fabric, it's so beautiful. This is a fun project!
Those fabrics are so rich looking. I love it.
I really like this table runner. The last time I appliqued anything was about 50 years ago and when I was finished with it, I swore I would never do applique again! That project was a Dresden Plate lap quilt and I did the applique by hand. It turned out very well, but I did NOT enjoy doing it. After that project, I kept that promise to myself and have not ever done applique again. But after watching this video, I'm going to break that promise! I believe that one of the things that will make the applique easier to do is the addition of paper on the bottom to stabilize the blocks. I have a couple of other projects to finish first, plus a quilt show and 2 weddings to attend, so this will be a nice winter project for me. As always, thank you so much Donna and family! We all love you!
Great sewing Donna as usual. Love the fall table runner. Your instructions are easy to follow and your sewing is excellent every time.
Love, love, love this gal & her showing us these great quilt ideas
Very nice Doonna. When I remove app liquid from the paper backing, I was taught to scratch the paper, piercing it which makes it easy to peel and discard without distorting the edges of the app liquid pieve. Thank you for all you and your team do.
If your stitch is very small, the paper practically falls off. Scratching is a good idea too!
Susan, I believe you are referring to taking the backing paper off the adhesive before any sewing is done. I was taught your way as well.
I found the use of paper an interesting addition as I’d never heard of this and will certainly try. Thank you for teaching me something new 😊
Donna, you and Matt are the best! This leaf runner looks like a fun project…I’m going to give it a go for my 90 year old neighbor who has made many a quilt in her lifetime.
Donna, you're always so generous with your talents, thanks so much for sharing! This pattern is lovely, easy, and I can't wait to give it a try!
Very nice Donna! That would look wonderful on my table 😁 thanks foe all that you and the Jordan family do!
Another learning video for me to put paper underneath the fabric when sewing applique. I will definitely share with my quilting group. Love your video!
It helps keep the project from distorting. It also helps keep my stitches more even - I am not sure why but it does!
Donna, your videos are the best!!!
That pattern is beautiful. It almost looks like expensive tiles. Who wouldn't love to have a quilt made up in these wonderful colors and pretty leaves. I have always loved fall colors. Thank you for this delightful video and information.
You inspire us to try appliqué. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I am Rosemery from Sri Lanka.
I watch your videos very often and really appreciate the way you demonstrate and explain.
Love the leaf quilt. I am a big fan of Jordan Fabrics and your tutorials.
Thank you. My daughter hosts Thanksgiving and this will make a perfect hostess gift❣️
Very nice, and the Grunge adds so much to the look, making it almost appear like a painting. I love applique and I love working with Heat n Bond, so I'll definitely be making this.
Me too! ❤️
Bet this would make cute place mats. Love your videos, you are a great teacher
Excellent choice of fabrics! It looks beautiful.
🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
I LOVE the leaves!! I also perked up when I heard you say you were putting "paper" underneath! That's a great 💡 idea! I am a rank beginner in appliqué. I didn't want to buy and use up expensive backing to practice on, but I had wandered briefly about paper. Now you confirmed that it is possible! Thank you so MUCH!! This video has taught me a LOT!! 🥰🥰
I loved! the technique, the colors, your simple way of explaining! thanks 🤩👍
Thank you, Donna for creating and sharing such a nice project. Fall colors are my favorite. I finally finished today and enjoying it on my table.
Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous and I love these grunge fabric colors. Thank you for this awesome tutorial. 🍁🍂
Très joli pour l'automne qui arrive. Ces feuilles sont magnifiques. Bravo Donna 👏👏🥰 bisous de Belgique
Very lovely and easy to do. Love these quick projects, great for the upcoming gifting season, thank you very much!😊
Donna that is a beautiful table runner. The fabric is just beautiful. In some shots it looked like velvet. Wonderful job. Thank You
I love this runner. It looks very elegant with the colors you used. I look forward to viewing your videos because they are always so encouraging and creative! Thank you, from a former Oregonian!❤🦆
I love leaf designs, so I love your table runner!
I might try this one.
Thanks for making everything look so easy!
I can tell that you’re a sweet person! 💓
Just a big Thank You for all your many video tutorials. I enjoy your mannerisms and listening to your voice, as well as the inspiration with each one. Really like this one especially, and the chance to win the giveaway is appreciated. When I finger press my seams, I think of you.
Best demonstration/explanation of machine appliqué I’ve seen! Thank you!!!
Definitely adding this to my "need to make" list. I'm going to make it round for my breakfast table. Thanks for sharing this idea!
Thank you, beautiful work. 😍
What a lovely lovely quilt I love the colors that you used❣️✂️🪡🧵💖💕❤️
You break the steps down so we'll and it makes it so much easier to understand and to follow. Thank you!
Those colors are so yummy! Love the idea of using a binding that is a different value of the same color.
Donna, Thank you for all your videos. You taught me how to make quilts from start to finish. I just love watching you!! You explain everything perfect. I'm making this placemat.
This table runner is one of my favorites that you designed. You are truly blessed with the heart of a teacher and I enjoy watching you make quilting "doable" for so many watchers!
Donna, what a great table runner! As usual, your step by step instructions are easy to follow and you move it right along. Thanks so much for sharing!
So beautiful, great design, lovely details and perfect color choices! Thank you Donna - everything I wanted and have come to expect from you!!!
I absolutely love the colors in this runner. What a cute and easy project! Thanks Donna for your great tutorials. REally look forward to seeing them!
Beautiful ❤️🥰🌹🌹🌹
Thank you Donna 💓😙🙏🏼
I've been sewing and quilting for years but I always learn something new from you Thank you
I’m eating my words from earlier. I was talking about quilting and how the perception of wisdom in blankets was lost versus the style from so long ago with lots of patches, here and there. I love the table runner, it reminds me of one of the themes I’m thinking about in my house. Then, the quilt your giving away had that rocking chair grandma nostalgia seeping through just enough to eat every single word I spoke about quilting. Excellent. I enjoyed the tutorial.
Donna that is so beautiful, a real piece of art. Thank you, your applique tutorial is awesome! 💙💙
Love this one. I always like seasonal projects that are different and I need to learn more about applique. Nice to gain some new skills in this video! Thanks! ❤
Just lovely! It's very 60's with the colors and your design of the leaves.
Harvest gold and avocado green 😁
Hi Donna, woke up to this lovely video. Love the colours. The video master is due for a medal as i was able to watch carefully while you stitched the appliqué. I’ve always avoided appliqué as being way too difficult but watching you doing it and giving all the tricks of the trade gives me inspiration to try. Thank you for your generosity with the free pattern and your precious time. 🌻
I love this one! I’m currently making runners for every season/holiday for my sister! I will try this one!
A beautiful tutorial, absolutely perfect 🍁🍂🍁🍂
Very beautiful. Your ideas and instructions are very informative. I just love how you present each and every vedio with 100 % perfection. Thank you very much Donna. Few years ago, I have stitched your hanging gardens quilt. I made three hanging garden quilts. Thank you for all your vedios.
I made this table runner over the weekend and it turned out great! Thanks Donna for your great tutorials. :)
Thank you Donna you are such a good teacher, I have learnt so much from you. I love that you used a basic machine and gave us the detail of the stitch sizes. Never used paper in my applique before, I will try it. Thank you for another great project.
Wow this is beautiful! I love applique as well. Winner here. I have to make this one.
I am busy making some table runners for my grand daughter. This is beautiful. Putting this on my list of projects. Thank you for always making me want to try new types of quilting and projects. You always make suggestions to help things that look difficult not so daunting. I will be trying the Lone Star Quilt shortly.
I used a method you showed to replace a piece of fabric in a quilt - I was successful! (accidently nicked the quilt trying to clean up threads).
Donna, this IS Gorgeous! This is the perfect "between" quilt project ("between" project = something fun, creative, break the rules, colorful and new-skill-type project. I LOVE these "betweens" as you get to learn new skills without breaking the bank). And, your color selection is fab. Oooh, I could do four of these in seasonal colors! I have so much scrap fabric, I could probably make all four without a trip to my local quilt shop. Many Thanks to you, Donna & Crew, for bringing your fantastic tutorials to us Quilters. Big Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving to All; may your holiday be full of Love and Blessings ❤️ from Sacramento. California.
I love this runner! Very Beautiful. Thank you Donna!!❤️
Love this, Donna. I never realized how easy appliqué was. I never tried it but now I am not as likely to shy away from it. Thank you for all your fantastic tutorials. You make sewing SEW enjoyable to watch.
Donna, your table runner is fabulous! You have explained everything clear and easy. I’m again, inspired to try something new! Thanks for another great tutorial!
Looks great, love it Donna. The colors are awesome. Stay safe and God bless
Donna, You are the best teacher and this pattern is really nice . Also perfect design for someone doing appliqué first time.
Thank you very much.
I love fall and your gorgeous appliqué table runner will be a beautiful addition to our harvest table! I truly appreciate your generosity!
I love, love, love your tutorials. You are a natural teacher. I have learned so much about quilting from your videos. 😄
Thank you for always having the exact video I need when I’m trying to learn how to do something new!!!! I love, love, love your videos 🥰
This video is so good. Colors are great especially for the upcoming season. A nice change to see you do a project other than complete quilting. I wouldn't have thought of a paper under the project. Thank you.
WoW Thank you! What an easy idea! The simple Grunge shades really make it! You do such a perfect job! I can't believe the giveaway is my favorite quilt!
I usually shy away from projects involving appliqué, but you’ve inspired me to try this. It is so gorgeous!!!
Donna this is breathe taking. Such a stunning runner.
I love the grunge fabric colors. This could also work with Christmas colors. Thank you for sharing.
What a fun doable project. I like the added touch of the veins. I’d like to make these into pillows. Thank you, Donna, for more inspiration!
Your best pattern yet.
Love this design. I could do this in a day.
Great pattern - I’m not very experienced with appliqué, so this is a good opportunity to practice!
Very modern and simple shapes. The colors and design are in harmony. Classy.
Simply beautiful! I really admire your sense of color. I would have never thought of choosing the gray thread for the outline satin stitch, but it’s the perfect color. Thanks for sharing! Debbie, South Carolina.
I really enjoy your videos. You most definitely inspired me.
Thank you for giving explanations for why you do things, such as putting the paper under your test for the zig zag stitch. It's so helpful for a novice quilter!
Thank you thank you thank you I haven't done this and I have been dragging my feet on this quilt I doing. Now I will be using this video many times. This is great.
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial video Donna. It's always a pleasure watching you, and your beautiful personality always shines through.
As always you come up with neatest ideas! Thanks for being such a great teacher!
Bendiciones Donna. Siempre es un placer ver tu labor. Eres tan limpia en tus direcciones, y mis felicitaciones a tu camarógrafo, qué equipo tan genial.
