    That nice. However, I flashed compatible, but not native bios. Each time I boot Windows, I have to reflash BIOS again and again. And it boots accidentally. I suppose it because WSL or Hyper-V enabled. Who knows. Anyone knows how to solve this?

    bro you have done making good simple tutorial video, appreciate it.
    i have question, does the process still same for the bios that has been modified or are there still other steps required?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  6 месяцев назад +1

      What do you mean by bios that has been modified?
      If the settings in the bios have been changed then they will be reset to factory settings.
      If you mean that the bios is modded then yeah the process is the same. Just make sure to backup the old bios as you might need it.
      If this doesn't answer your question please explain it again! Thanks!

      Yes it should be fine to flash the 15ikb bios if it is the same on the lenovo website.
      Just make sure to make a backup of your old bios just in case.

    Hi, excellent video, I bought a CH341B programmer to repair an ideapad 330s 15arr, but the AsProgrammer program is taking many hours to read the chip to make a backup, is this normal ?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  3 месяца назад +1

      No its not normal. It should take around 5-10 minutes depending on the computer you are using.
      I don't know why its taking so long, make sure the chip model detected on AsProgrammer is correct, it might be a wrong size like the MB.
      Edit: there might also be not enough voltage passing through the chip, check the LED light on the ch341B and when its connected to the chip it should shine full power bright, not dimly.
      If its shining dimly you can check my other video where you connect the power cable to the laptop to get extra voltage.

      @@YoussGm thanks for your interest, my bios is the W25Q64FW 1.8v (I am using the voltage adapter) I tried connecting the power cable and there was no major changes, the yellow light is dim, I noticed that when trying to detect the chip in AsProgrammer 2.0.4 is not able, is it a problem of my CH341 ?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  3 месяца назад

      Its probably the voltage problem. Try removing as many components from the motherboard, so disconnect the ssd/hdd, ram, speakers, keyboard etc. Then try again with the power cable connected and see if the light is brighter.
      If its not then Idk what the problem is. You could try using the 3.3v without the 1.8v adapter but there is a risk of frying the chip and motherboard, no guarantee I can't take responsibility.
      I can't help any more than that, you could try returning your programmer and try with another one.

    Mine is a type B model but on the left side there is: 1 2 3 TXD RXD GND 3.3V. It doesn't work properly. Have you seen these?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  2 месяца назад +1

      Mine says 5V not 3.3V, even though I also have a ch341B, at least thats whats written on the chip.
      Idk why it doesn't work, is the led on the ch341 shining bright or is it dim? Are you sure the clip is connected well? Are there any error messages? Is your bios chip 3.3V or 1.8V?
      Ch341B should technically work if you install the same drivers, I'm not an expert at this so goodluck.

      You could try to update the bios through windows but there might be a risk of it corrupting again.
      Other than that idk why. Check in device manager if tmp 2.0 chip is detected or disabled.

      Some versions of AsProgrammer dont have all chip models. If you google it you might find an alternative chip name that works the same.

    • @YoussGm

      Is it this? t.me/biosarchive/20041
      If not, you can get a bios from hp website, search your laptop model and go to drivers and download the bios. Then there is a way to extract it, search in youtube for a tutorial but it's tricky.
      I will see if I can make a video about it.
      Thanks for the comment!

    Hi, I think I might need to do this to fix my gigabyte kd g5 gaming laptop. But I'm confused if I need to find a certain bios file to flash it with the software or not? Or does the software you're using automatically flash it?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  4 месяца назад

      I found this reddit post with the steps needed, idk if its your exact laptop but it should be similar: www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/comments/131zzum/guide_how_to_unbrick_gigabyte_g5_kc_bios/
      Everything is manual, nothing is automatically flashed. The bios is different for every laptop model so you will have to find either a working one from the same exact model, or go to the laptop drivers website, get the bios from there, and then manually combine your corrupted bios with the download. This combination is also different for every model.
      the link I attached is for a bios brick, not corruption so it depends what happened to your laptop, if it was a failed update or a wrong bios setting. I'm not really an expert, so good luck with that.

    • @YoussGm

      if your laptop is the 11th gen intel rtx 3060 this bios: www.gigabyte.com/Laptop/G5--Intel-11th-Gen/support#support-dl-bios
      extract the zip and the 128kb file should be it. I'm not sure if its the correct size, but if you extract your corrupted bios and it's 128kb, flashing the downloaded 128kb bios should technically work without any combination/splicing. Make sure to backup the old corrupted bios though.

      @@YoussGm Hey so I got the programmer and I'm trying to flash it but there is no auto detect button for the ch341a programmer software?

    • @YoussGm
      @YoussGm  4 месяца назад

      @unknownvidds If you are using AsProgrammer, there should be the button. Not sure why it wouldn't show up, its fixed in place even when the programmer is not attached to the chip.
      If the chip is not being detected even after than then check my other video for gaming laptops, where you might actually need to plug the laptop into power while doing the process.
